Organization's Resilience is not just a challenge *but* a necessity for organization to be able to embrace their future, and keep sustaining their value-creation ability.

The statement highlights an essential truth about modern organizational dynamics. It rightly emphasizes that resilience is not merely a challenge to overcome but a fundamental necessity for organizations aspiring to thrive in the future. Such a forward-thinking approach is crucial for long-term success and relevance in an increasingly competitive and unpredictable market.

Remember that organizational resilience gives you the ability to successfully adapt to threats to your sustainability. Building a resilient culture takes time, but the rewards for any company are enormous.
Results may not come as quickly as the next challenge, but it should not be forgotten that the most important thing is to learn to adapt to any situation. And only then can you truly become a resilient and sustainable organization.

While the statement is strong, it could be enriched by mentioning the role of leadership, culture, and strategy in fostering resilience. Leadership commitment, a culture that encourages agility and learning, and a strategic approach to risk management are all pivotal in building resilience.

Another insightful discussion between Pa Anton dan Lee.
Organizational resilience is indeed more than just a challenge; it’s a fundamental necessity in today’s rapidly changing world. Organizations must be able to adapt and evolve in response to external changes and disruptions. This resilience enables them to not only survive but also thrive amidst uncertainty and change. It’s about maintaining and enhancing their value-creation ability, regardless of the challenges they face. Moreover, resilience is not just about reacting to changes but also about proactively shaping the future. It involves anticipating potential disruptions, preparing for them, and turning them into opportunities for growth and innovation. In this way, organizations can embrace their future and ensure their long-term sustainability and success.
So, your statement well highlights the importance of resilience as a key component of an organization’s strategic toolkit. It’s a call to action for organizations to build resilience into their DNA and leverage it as a strategic advantage in their journey towards the future.

As Lee mentioned, we are facing a dynamic situation with exponential technological change. We can anticipate that change by continually updating and upgrading our knowledge through sharing with other people who may have different perspectives, situations, and experiences, for example, by attending seminars like Risk Beyond 2023, etc.

Pak Anton and Lee's conversation provides insight that AI can help organizations more accurately detect early symptoms of impending change that will significantly impact business resilience. With the support of AI, organizations become more anticipatory towards change and, of course, more agile in avoiding risks and taking advantage of profitable opportunities that arise when facing business uncertainty in the future.

Its true that waiting for complete certainty is not a prudent strategy, adapting new technology will help us to stay ahead of the curve, to be the one who shape the future rather than being shaped by it 😊

Bridging the previous thematic of GRC (Aligning GRC and ESG) with the coming thematic of Risk Beyond (Into the Unknown) requires meticulous insights and mind building in crafting the essence of governance. Previously I am focusing on developing the aspects of governance that satisfy both the GRC and ESG, but now I am tirggered to elaborate more about dealing the unknown through AI and the associated peripherals. Surely should not miss the opportunity to attend and get involved to the coming Risk Beyond event on December 7-8, 2023.

  • @mohammadkemaltaufiqurrahma5778

The fast-paced changes that we are witnessing require us to embrace uncertainty and adapt to new technologies such as AI. They also present opportunities for growth and improvement for organizations. Key to organization resilience lies in anticipating, adapting, and growing in the face of change.
Thanks for share this Conversation, Dr Antonius and Lee.
