“I was kinda thinking about rounding off the tops of the rear fenders...like THIS” and he does it. During the meeting. And it looks amazing.
When will he post episode 4
The unbelievable skill of Chip is only surpassed by his self effacing attitude...a master of the subtle change and gracious style.
Live design with the customer...awesome !
I could watch him work 24 hours a day please keep the videos coming!!!!!!!!
This is just amazing work. I love how Chip will just knock some body lines off and make it look that much better. I don't even notice that it's a "widebody" because to me it's supposed to look like that.
Chip is a real master. What a professional. Eye for detail and esthetics
I like how this is an interaction between the customer an him . An the customer will always be able to share this with anyone who see it for later proof of craftsman ship an etc. To me would increase the value if ever sold.
The attention to detail is amazing. He doesn't only customize it, but he makes it look like it came like that from the factory.
Other custom builders half-ass it and the mods they do have horrible fitment, horrible gaps, doesn't match with the lines of the car and looks like it was piece together randomly.
Chip's vision and design and the attention to detail is just next level. Like OCD level that no other fabricators have.
Awesome video, no fake drama, just Chip and the client talking about design. Thanks for posting, Please post more! Always look forward to your videos.
I ever gave Chip a car I would say I am closing my eyes now, you work your magic and whatever it ends up being, that is what I know I will love and wanted it to be all along!
Rounding off the top of the rear deck gives the car a totally defferent look. Chip is amazing, having an owner that trusts Chip makes his work more enjoyable. Kevin
I love how you sanded the crisp body line down and rounded it off. That's how the factory should have done it!
I dont know how much a Chip Foose built car must cost, and I'm guessing an obscene about of money (for me) but, watching this, the experience alone is worth every penny. Taking the crease off the top of the rear fenders was pure theater! Just awesome to watch the man at work. This car will be a stunner.
Thank you so much for shaving the rear fenders, I’ve always felt that peak was wrong for the car. Everything else looks great too.
The world needs hundreds of Foose Clones that all look and think alike so that more people can have their fantasy cars without burning him out or dying of exhaustion.
It’s amazing the transformation just by removing the hard fender lines, and cove details. 👍
King of the subtle changes. Excellent.
I wish I could see a foose designed ford maverick grabber with a 5.2 voodoo engine. Open to any dark color. Thanks Chip!
I cannot wait to see this beauty finished , great works as always !!
LIKE TO SEE THE FINAL BILL!!!!!!!!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Chip always hitting it out the park with his custom builds 😎🤛 God bless🙏
Beautiful man, just beautiful. I’m looking forward to seeing the colour and interior. I love the blend of old and new. So cool.
What a artist 👌🏻
The guy has such a talent for design there are so many little things who create these magnificent design. All the other guys need massive changes foose does it with talent.
Chip, I bet having as easy going a client as that is a rare treat! Softening the ridge over the rear fenders DEFINITELY helps tie the appearance together. After seeing many of your other builds, I'm surprised you didn't suggest knocking down the horizontal ridges on the 'vette as well. Looking forward, with some impatience, to seeing the owner take it home!
At the end about 10:30, the body in white was beautiful.
Rounding the rear fender edges makes it look similar to a '58 'Vette, a good thing.
We should all strive for perfection as you guys do. Awesome work, thanks for sharing.
DONE BEEN FOOSIFIED!!
Талантливый авто дизайнер,... слов нет!!! Без лишних слов
From the imagination of Chip Foose, thanks for taking us along on this build.
If GM ever does a retro Vette, they gotta hire Foose to design it. So amazing so beautiful what an Artist!!
Wow my dream Corvette, that is just super cool . I liked that remote control truck sitting there, that is my hobby, I have about 15 of them , it's about my a stent of customizing. It's a awesome hobby, well beautiful Corvette.
Chip???I LOVE U MAN
People are asked what's the first thing you would you do if you won the Lottery?
My answer has always been the same: visit Chip Foose and have him build me a car FROM SCRATCH!!!
As I'm partial to sports cars, the design would incorporate Corvette, Ferrari, and Lamborghini design.
How you say?
That's why I would hire Chip. He's the Master Designer and Builder!!
Nice job as always chip. Stay safe my friend.
Go Chip... Go!
Good evening from across the pond . Like you Chip l always thought the rear end although in itself attractive never blended well with the front styling. To me it was Chevrolet hinting at what was to come. It only needed softening on the top edge and presto !The front grille change looks so subtle but compare it with the original and the difference is quantum. It must be very much easier to make changes when the client knows that the "Foose Way" is the best way. You must have clients in the past who were not quite so co-operative and you have to grit your teeth and tell yourself "the customer is always right! " Thanks Chip.
Looks great 👍
Wow ,what an EYE
Can't wait to see this finished.... 😍
Me too. Guess it's not finished yet as I can't find a video of it.
Foose got an eye like no one else!
This customer is spot on in that he follows Chips lead on the modifications. Why hire the master if you don’t accept his ideas?
Chip just turned the Corvette's haunches into a Jaguar XKE look alike.
Wish I could have brought Chip my 1959 Vette !!!!!!!
Think the same thing. Taking my neighbors 1962 Mercedes Benz 190SL. 😁
I hope work with you one day, absolutely beautiful work, you really never cease too inspire me.
fantastic job love the changes made to the car.
I LOVE THAT ERA OF THE VETTE!!! JUST DROP A 427 IN IT N DRIVE...
Looks alot better with the rear Fender's shaved down🤙
Chip is the best!!!
Thanks for sharing!
We need Overhaulling show again.
You do beautiful work Chip 👍👍
100% improvement, to round over rear fender. I always thought they mixed designs, trying make a transition year work.
Now that you’ve softened the crease at the top of the fender, why don’t you just get rid of the lower one that goes all the way around the rear from wheel lip to wheel lip! I’ve always thought that looked like it was a managerial add-on. Somehow it just doesn’t look like it fits the design and in certain views it is jut too peaky.
I think it's a mistake to soften the rear fender top the sharp edge is one of the key elements that gives the '61/'62 the "prelude to the Stingray" the soft look loses character. Keep it sharp IMO, opps, too late. I spent last weekend driving around in a '61 Vette at Walloon Lake Mi. and looking at the dash I love the layout. Not too much I'd change. Just a note; the instrument cluster is the forerunner of the Pagani Huayra. The front and the sculpted sides of this Foose '62 is so refined love it. Foose's work on the 1962 Vette is such a compliment to the original, the basic lines are right there GM did a great job.
Caballete..Grande..👍
I think my dream garage is nothing but Foose designed cars...
the pricetag on this rebuild has to be close to $100k
Legend
With some coke bottle glasses Chip could be the stunt double for Bubbles on Trailer Park Boys.
Foose and crew wearing masks for body work for decades, now its just seems normal for them. Beautiful work.
Beautifull, wish I could work with Chip one Day
gorgeous
I love you this design you have done on this C1. Please do not put the modern Stingray on this car. Other than that all design queues are outstanding 👍
Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!
Chip Foose is an automotive artist ...
Back to the Future Teacher Foose? Very Nice Hair!
You needed to make a mold of that body
WoW!
Whaaatttt!! 👆😟👉 No Part 4 yet!!??
Damn this looks amazing
Magnifique travail Mr foose 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
Like a kid at Disney Land can you imagine being one of Chips clients
If I were ever able to afford it, I'd absolutely love to have a car built by Foose Designs. Maybe a blacked out 58 Plymouth Fury, with Chips modern touch.
I'm waiting for the Foose N95 mask design. Preferably the clear with filtration under the chin.
Carro dos meus sonhos.
So cool
Chip, have you been asked by all 3 major automakers to design cars/trucks for them?
I'd have gone black and gold
Wish I had the money to have Chip build my car!
Nice
One of my dream cars would be a Foosed 1971 Ford Mustang fastback.
Good morning
I would do anything to work for Mr. Foose
wearing foos t-shirt Blue color pinst line ? so cool !
If you have unlimited money and resources you can build some amazing cars. I like Chip's work, but I am impressed more by owners doing the work. JMO
I like the blue/green on the engine.. maybe do the seats in same color.
Thanks for the updates on the Vette, what about the 56'?
I’d love to see what Chip would do with Bond’s Aston Martin DB5....
Dope
Chip amazing work as always I think you could do with a hair cut lol
I know is a bit soon right now. But I wonder about wheels for this one.
...my kind of art
I would love to see what Chip would do with my 1988 Starion....
He would aesthetically ruin it before adding hideous chrome wheels, like everything else. Come on. You know this.
How thick is the filler and fiber glass that you can just sand down the crease?
Really needs a roll bar .
This sounds weird but I appreciate the way chip dresses, he goes ready to work and get dirty. It's something some clients don't understand, they expect you to be in a suit and tie when talking about projects.
👍
Is there a part 4?
Should have done the 3 taillights on each side...California style....
