I think another name for Angelina could be "The transporter"" when she opens her mouth it's like being taken to a soothing make believe world., I have never had another artist touch my inner being like she can. She can take your heart , and ring it out so it flows like liquid out of your body through your eyes.
The poem is about Annie, but the music for the poem, was written for Angelina. She was only 10. Poem for Annie, Song for Angelina.

The lyrics came from a 200 years old poem.... Nico Cartosio wrote the music for it thinking only of one artist to sing the composition...and that's Angelina Jordan..thus he titled it A SONG FOR A.

The "A" in the title was actually for Angelina. Nico actually composed this song specifically for her to sing as the final song on his Melting album. It was the only vocal song on the entirely instrumental album. Great reaction ladies.

Melting. Angie just turned 13 when recorded. This is what Nico said about the song, Back in April 2019. Song for A is the only song on the album. It is performed by Angelina Jordan, a very young and very talented singer. I needed a bright final for my instrumental album. After the series of cold hell's and Melting itself I longed for a song of a liberated soul, a soul that was set free from suffering. So, I remembered a beautiful poem by Robert Burns and wrote this song especially for Angelina. And she gave a sensual performance. We recorded the instrumental part on Abbey Road. I guess the poem was for Annie of the day, long before Little Orphan Annie. "A Song for A" is Nico's putting the poem to music for Angelina Jordan.

Actually he wrote the music for it not the lyrics... The lyrics is actually came from a 200 year old poem by Rober Burns entitled The Rigs O' Barley. Nico layed the music into it and he only think of one singer to sing the composition. And that's Angelina Jordan...thus he gave the title A Song For A to the song.
Mark, you`re right. 👍Angelina was probably 11 when she recorded this, as Mr. Cartosio`s album was released in april 2018. The music was recorded in Abby Road Studios in London (studio of The Beatles and several others), and as Angelina was visiting the US at the time, the track was sendt to her, to add her vocals to the track.

Hi, Ladies! Always so happy when I see you have reacted to another Angelina song. No element of jazz in this song. But, instead we hear a magnificent vocal performance by a very young girl (uncertain how old she was when she recorded this but definitely between the ages 11 and 13). Nico Cartosio created a musical album (all instrumental) but he wanted to end the album with the only vocal song on it. He had heard Angelina's voice and wanted her to sing the song because he knew she would be perfect (which she was). When you play it again every word she sings tells a story. It's unbelievable.
Just think about this: Besides Nico Cartosio, David Foster, Quincy Jones, Alan Walker, AGT and, according to her family, over 90 other parties wanted Angelina to sing for them or to sign contracts with them before she was 13 years old. People inside the trade recognized her talent to a degree which they had never heard anything like her before. By the time she turned 13 she already had a label tagged on her. She was regarded as a 'singer's singer'.
She eventually signed a contract with Republic Records in 2020 and so far it seems to be a great marriage between the two. Angelina's family and Republic are in agreement to keep Angelina at a slow pace until she finishes her education and has time to enjoy life as a teenage girl before committing herself totally to her career.
Suggestion: This one, to me is the most emotional I get every time I hear it. I'll set you up with the particulars behind the scene. A famous and well liked individual in Norway passed away and there was a video documentary made paying homage to him. The musical theme to the documentary was sung by Angelina (by request) and the video you will listen to has a lot of background sound which was impossible to remove. But, Angelina's vocals are, well, I'll leave that up to you to describe. The video you want is Angelina Jordan singing 'Smile'. The music was written by Charlie Chaplin (the very famous silent movie star) and the lyrics to the song came a little later on. My wish is that Angelina sings this song in it's entirety and it is part of one of her albums. Enjoy.

The song was recorded after AJ’s family moved to LA so she would have been 13 at the time. The sounds of her voice on this recording will take you places you have never been before.

I am still fascinated that the russian composer Nico Cartosio was abel to pick Angelina for singing this track, convinced that she would be abel to handle even this genre with such ease and grace. We now KNOW her voice is carrying these 250 year old lyrics so elegantly into this newly written classic piece of music. I love this song, and it is one we easely comes to sing along to, is`nt it Chelle ?😄

Angelina in my opinion is today the greatest living storyteller. Here she is able to translate a poem from the end of the 18th century into song thanks also to the composer Cartosio, who not by chance chose Angelina.

What a great song and story behind it. Her voice is so smooth and she is definitely an old soul. Please consider reacting to Jackie Evancho, another phenomenal voice and old soul. She too got a start at an young age appearing in AGT at ten years old. Her version of Bridge over Troubled Water at age of 12 years old would be a good video to react to.
