Painfully accurate lol. I literally spoil all my friends and partners. I never saw it as a problem or thought it was anything deep. But it really is because I don't feel worthy of people's love in the slightest. I have always felt that people are doing me a favor by being in my life and anyone who showers me with affection i assume is illuded by me, romanticizes me, or just loves me for my physical appearence.
This is the most accurate Venus in retrograde I’ve ever seen. For my it’s stems from the fact that since I could remember at an early age I was called ugly , shapeless , weird looking , I looked like a boy, I didn’t smile right - and it got worse as a teenager until I said fuck this shit I’m gonna work on it. The truth was no matter how intelligent I was at school or talented with my art the thing that would be picked apart was my appearance.
same here as a female. all thru high school i was called ugly until i dropped out just to end the peer pressure. Been told since being an older adult that i am not ugly but i dont like what other women like. I dont have the same experiences and my experiences have been hard and traumatic, especially w/males so i feel much better alone and by myself now for years.

I can relate to this as from a younger undeveloped version of myself. But I have grown so much over the years, and I carry a lot of self-love. I feel like this video didn't exert too much positivity.
Girl! The way this rings true! I really wonder who the hell was in my past life because this isn’t my only planet in retrograde but it did cause like a lot of negative emotions for no reason. Therapy, journaling, correcting negative self talk and affirmations help me out a lot. Wow 🤩

Yep, you described me when younger. Parents divorced. Mother had Venus retrograde too, so not exactly the greatest model of self image.😆 Partnered with narcissists. But with therapy & loving partners/friends, I’ve come to honestly see my self worth. Just taken longer than others to see it.
I have Venus retrograde in the 7th house, in the sign of Gemini. Growing up I was never really sure if my parents loved each other romantically. I saw them as just two people who worked together to make sure the household was running properly (specifically financially more than anything else). I've always desired romantic love, but there were definitely times when I considered the validity of it. Sometimes it would feel like that kind of love was just an illusion. Other times I'd think that even if it were real, it was foolish to entertain (despite wanting "true love"). Now, I try very hard to give love benefit of the doubt. I guess for me, the natal retrograde was more about the logic of love. Like most people, I have struggled with self-esteem from my physical appearance from time to time, but it wasn't something I dwelled on. For me, what I was most self-conscious about was whether my personality and skills were enough for my partner (or potential partner). I tend to set my worth on non-physical things. Sometimes I wonder whether I'm knowledgeable enough for this person, will this person think I am funny, will they think I am caring, will they think I am awkward, will they think I talk too much, etc. I care about how I am perceived in those ways.

There is a guy I know with the exact same placement as yours. I am a Taurus Venus though and I have lots of love to another person.
We spent some time together and I feel like we match very well, but the moment I started to express romantic interest, he freaked out and became distant.
Maybe a Gemini Venus just won’t appreciate to be “chased” by others?🤔
One thing I would add is not being taught self care as a child, and the journey that brings.

Great job!! Very well said. I’ve also noticed in my readings that Venus retro people do marry or choose one person when they young bc they cling onto one, codependent, but still take forever to trust. They do things like get married fast or have a child fast thinking that will secure a person in their life bc they don’t think their enough to do so. They do a lot of testing and games to make sure they are desired or you aren’t going to leave them. His insecurities were destructive.
Venus in retrograde as leo in my 9th house you were spot on my insecurity lies in validation from others with culture language, spirituality/religion and my spending habits can get a little crazy bc I shower ppl in purchased gifts, handmade gifts and affection all I want in return is passion I’m not too materialistic!!!

What you are describing maybe low self esteem and you are right it stems from some experience in the past. It may be due to advertising that uses very slim and what is perceived as beautiful model that adds to the low self esteem. Great insight.

Chiron retrograde in the natal chart please!
My progressed Venus turned retrograde (1st house Scorpio on top of that) around 2012 and I've felt this so intensely ever since then. But even before that it's never been easy for me to see my self-worth. Self-love can be so weird... We are all born with intrinsic worth, but somewhere along the path of life we lose sense of it because of various circumstances and it becomes a lifelong mission to get it back... or rather REMEMBER that it is always, has always been there. In a way, recognizing our self-worth is like returning to ourselves.
Talking about uranus conjunct neptune in the natal birthchart might be an interesting video.
Omg Venus in Aries RX in 5th house - and while I don’t look at IG or give a care about what other people look like - I DO OVER GIVE...I have had horrible relationships where I don’t leave and yes...I have drained my 401K to pay for my kids education whilst not taking care of my own needs and being embarrassed that with all my degrees I make $19 an hour at a job that doesn’t suit me at all.
At 43 though I’m slowly (Taurus sun😂) coming into my personal worth and value and am saying no...and after leaving an abusive marriage in 2017 I am coming into WHO I am and it’s kind of amazing ❤️

I related immediately with it, even thou my venus is direct in Gemini in 10th house. however my Neptune Rx is opposite my Venus and my Saturn Rx is making a square with my Venus. I find Love so intense and at the same time so abstract. Finding emotional maturity in this area has taken forever to achieve.
You know what? Whats it like to have venus RX in 12th combust your sun in 12th? The man I am involved with has this.
@@Arginne Quite difficult because on top of my 12th house placements it’s also all intercepted as well. I lived my life in isolation away from people (not by choice, or by my own doing) and it can make it harder to be able to move out of your parents house once your well into your early 20s. My life path number is 11, so with people with this placement in order to be able to move out of your parents house, these people often move in with a best friend, fiancé, boyfriend/partner. Anything that has to do with partnerships that aspects your 6th /7th house. For me my Venus Rx is in Aries (which is my chart ruler) because I’m a Taurus rising which also makes it more difficult. Along with my sun in the Aries, and my Mercury is Pisces is also in the 12th house. My intercepted signs are Aries (my 12th house) and Libra (my 6th house) in this life time I have my north node in Cancer in the 3rd house. Along with Mars and Pluto in the 8th house in Sagittarius. Long story short with this interception is makes it hard for me to remember to take care of myself and things that have to do with my daily routine aka my 6th house. So I have to balance my health with my spirituality, and being able to be more balanced (which are the positive aspects of libra) libra also associated with partnership and so moving out for me would be moving out and sharing an apartment with a partner or friend.

Off da Hannah, I'm only 6 minutes in and you got it so far. Everything you say is amplified what with Libra rising holding my retro Venus. Then Aquarius too. Then Pluto, Vesta and Uranus in my first. As I get older my Capricorn Sun gets stronger and I compare myself less to others. I take it as ongoing effects of our insane society. Consumer values are thick, internal disciplines only available to special interest, no classes in school in how to read media, how to follow the money and expose lies, how to meditate and breathe correctly to keep our internal lights on...in a more integrated society my Venus wouldn't have so much trouble with retrograde. Gender boxes play in: I'm a shitty warrior. My soul wants me to be musical, gardener without power tools, artist, astrologer, basically a fully functional modern Druid, Bardic tilt. In my original family my skill set is seen as unfit for men. Without those ideas in the culture my Venus would have just been accepted. Maybe us retros would just be the leading artists instead of being crushed by the signals we get from our crazy culture, whackadoodle with headspin. We're coerced horribly by media to do exactly what you say, the comparing of ourselves to others, the difficulty feeling beautiful. Men aren't supposed to be beautiful. What? Another terribly confusing idea that clouded my Venus power. Mars in Taurus: another bad thing for a man. I wanted to be a girl when I was young only because there was no value for my skill set. My Capricorn Sun is dour and sour without my Venus working well. Devalued ascendant, the whole chart stinks. Or seems to from inside.

It becomes more plain in my late 40's that my external struggle with acceptance exactly mirrors the emotional tone emanating from my heart. Vesta in my first; one way or another I'd have at least a 30 year spell of service, my Tai Ji monk phase. The time out was what it took to get my internal value solid enough to shine. My Sun is dourpuss without Venus, but also the whole thing is dead in space without the Sun. Integral energy, my Sun King holds firm the roots of the mountains so my power doesn't flicker in the winds of my Aquarian passions. Standing Tai Ji: for me an absolutely essential practice. The slow motion movements. Big belly breath keeping me rooted in my excellent body; hand on heart can help me correctly sense my emotional tone, instead of guessing about it from my Wordsmith tower. Good rap Hannah. I like how you talk astrology. From beginning to end you hit the nail on the head. BANG! Devastation in my relationships and finances is the shape of my life so far. It began to get better in 2012. My progressed Venus stationed direct in Capricorn at the end of that year. The station felt slow and stuck, but I worked hard and well on my musical craft and Tai Ji disciplines, improving my way with people by staying in my senses when I relate, not going off on my own trips of mental flight. Lockdown frustrating as hell, but also time to improve internal senses, get to the roots of all my stuff. Pluto in my 4th since 2008. I had too much desperation in my voice when I would sing. My guitar tone was meh. The time out helped me notice things. Stop judging my emotions and feel them. Express them with respect. Then my Venus enjoys being with people and sharing space. When my inner light is on I can be in community instead of a mere identity taken for a ride on the winds of social trends and groupthink. When all our lights are on we're an integrated humanity, instead of a bunch of hateful mobs throwing turds at each other. Bla bla, Gemini overload and there's my Moon. All of these things, in some degree are true for me. Amplified by factors of 11, I was born during the hours of the station. I was 26 when my Venus changed from natal Aquarius back into Capricorn. The sweetest spot was during Cazimi, when prog Venus was conjunct my prog Sun and Moon. 5th house Venus, Aquarius; live music, Dungeons and Dragons, theater, more music, all the arts. At Cazimi I was in a professional band (age 17), doing art in school, had a great girl friend, lots of good friends. That whole thing quickly faded in the course of a year. After the band I went solo, had a great power trio where I was lead vocals, keys and bass where we played one glorious show, and my drummer and guitarist moved far away. Turn of century was turn of sign, back into Capricorn. What I can see better from Chiron return phasing in is that the breakdown phase is part of my Hermit tendencies obviated in my Human Design chart. On the Roof is the Saturn return to Chiron return for us, and I went as hermit as one can while living a life in a city. Venus ruling my ascendant, retro Saturn ruling my Venus; Chiron return again, I realize the roots of what I value as being from places and people long ago or never here but somewhere in the galaxy. The lack of value I felt for my greatest powers was woven into the setup long before I was born. That I'm still twisting out of the curses is part of the deal from the beginning. Every devil that makes my life difficult is a widespread pattern. I really noticed the phase shifting of my prog Venus. I started writing songs again, and focusing on only guitar and voice at first the year my prog Venus stationed direct, 2012 when I was almost 39. Born hours after the exact station, I got the longest period of retro available. With Hermit we tend to come into our work in the world in the way we always envisioned but could never quite pull together in our Chiron return years. At 48 mine is just tuning in; the next retro station in July is on my natal Chiron degree. I sense the best is yet to come; a fine thread shining amidst all the noise in the world to the contrary.
