decks should have weaknesses. im glad something like nib keeps it in check and the deck has restrictions. im 100% with decks being strong, but at least have some restrictions/weaknesses. every deck isnt for everyone and i hope this deck does well without being too op
Something about the power level of this archtype reminds me of rescue-ace where on release it was like "there's something here but its not enough" and then they got those 2 cards a couple sets later that made them tier 1, I feel like right now its fine but they're like 2 support cards away from making this deck bananas. Maybe like a Mathmech Diameter type effect thats an omni negate when used as material or sumn
Rank 4 turbo gets nice buff with this, the fun thing about the backrow is that it attaches to ANY rank 4, so you can make Bagooska and add more materials to it. Normal summoning Ice is 1 card combo to 4 mats worth of rank 4s as well (5 if you sent a Raizeol for Ex and have Palma) so making it a 7 card engine any xyz deck can go into with spare level 4s to make Duodrive at the end of their combo as well. There's potential here so I'm curious what that last card end up being
that is cool that there is a restrictions on those cards and seeing that some are thunder cards and some may have a hand effect it stops them from trying to summon Thunder Dragon Colossus as it only takes 1 thunder monster and a thunder monster using a card effect from the hand, this may look fun to play
It's actual good, balanced card design. The deck can do its thing, be fun and strong if it can but has a clear weakness that has to be played around. Setting decks like Snake Eye and whatnot as a standard for an archetype or engine's viability is toxic and backwards because they are pretty inherently unbalanced (almost as if by design from Konami to move product...hmm) and able to start, extend, and play through breakers with ease. Also unrelated, Diameter did nothing wrong. Mathmechs were hosed by being Cyberse and, thus, splashed into generic Cyberse Link climb craziness. If its end state was "Final Sigma for game," nothing in archetype would be touched. And even then, Cyberse was never the menace recent Fire abominations have been in the modern meta.
Oh but there's a workaround to that. Players will find a way to have Colossus as part of their turn 1 board with how generic the Thunder Xyz is. Also the theme doesn't restrict you to Level 4s even though you're gonna be playing mostly Level 4s anyway, but Thunder Dragon plays or any non-'Raizeol' Thunder Monster Card with an effect in hand as a searchable tech played before doing the 'Raizeol' plays will be the standard and an issue if impacted with representation in the meta.
Yes you'd be locked out, if you summon a Raizeol Monster with their unique inherent summons. But the Spell/Traps don't lock you, so what I meant was to summon Zeus during opponent's turn (Battle Phase) to board wipe them. And keep the Zeus for an extra attacker next turn. Though, you can also choose to use the trap on your own turn before you get locked. (So you can attack them for 3k before you combo). P.S. Both these combos are very niche but doable.

Honestly a very solid base for the archetype. There's definitely a lot of balancing factors in the archetype, but I prefer that over having the archetype be used for unintended purposes that'd break it. It's a Rank 4 Turbo Deck that'll definitely get benefits from playing the Mathmech Xyz monsters, and it's only going to get better with future sets supporting the strategy. I like it a lot
Really liking this in Time Thieves because Perpetua can get even more material onto your xyz and the spell could be a searchable xyz Reborn to get spell/traps onto Redoer if we got a better trap. The graveyard effect still might make it worth summoning

While also being pretty future proofed by being locked to Raizeol and not having an omni-negate slapped onto it making it broken
So after watching this video the first time, I’m already seeing some combos and additional cards to blend into the deck! First off, after seeing the Stats on Sword Raizeol, I can imagine running a small engine of Flamvell Monsters, or other Level 4 Fire Monsters with 200 Def, to get you easy use of Rekindling. With Rekindling, you could easily put multiple Level 4 Monsters on the Field to summon either of this Deck’s Main Xyz Monsters to get maximum use of their Best Effects! Furthermore, this Deck could VERY easily run a Utopia engine in the Extra Deck! Multiple stacked Xyz Summons could possibly Build into a High Power S0:Utopic Zexal!

Add in theres some R4s that trigger in Special Summon. Also weak to Nib dont make something bad tbh. The #1 deck in the game loses to Nib.
yeah XYZ reborn was LITERALLY the card i was thinking of when deadnader was shown you basically stuff your whole deck with 3 of every monster that are all extender by themselves, 3 xyz reborn and every hand trap monster relevant to the meta, and with the quickplay you basically have sky striker 2.0 without all the restrictions hell with how light the EX is you can just play ghost reaper and fill the EX with every relevant EX monster to the meta

I’m so sick of side set archetypes being trash, especially the cool ones. When fiendsmith engraver is a 1 card ftk board that can bridge or be bridged into snake eyes and yubel combo, but rock of the vanquisher has a harsher link restriction than spright elf which is banned, something wrong
Nah yall don't see the vision. This does work with armored xyz engine. But the key thing is the extra deck cards play well with ANY xyz cards that give benefits will attached. That's the key. Not just that you also can play thunder dragons with these guys. Trigger TD effects, normal summon the searcher. Go into colossus and then xyz plays from there. Armored xyz works because your ED monster isn't specific materials. Summon it. Search two. Rank it up to 5. Play on from there. You don't NEED to use the "lock me in" affects first. Plenty of other cards that let you go xyz summon without restrictions THEN go into this stuff. Is it busted? No but you can defintely make it work or tech it into other decks. The attaching materials is great for some monsters that need them to work. Even if you don't go into a ton of stuff you can use the armored xyz package go Zeus on your opponents turn and board wipe or go Typhon. You don't need them on your turn.
They’re rogue at best right now. The new Six Sam support just slaughters it. Not to mention that new Sinful spoils archetype with their first summon omni negate.
Tear was fusion, now xyz is good, was there a Sychro in between if so, the meta might be cycling through the summoning techniques so I wonder when pendulum gets the spotlight
The only other xyz monster that I can find that likes being dumped is rebarian shark which can top deck a R.U.M. Maybe seventh one. Rank up spells can still be used as long as it’s before you get locked into rank 4.
Or use the one phantom Knights rum to make a dark req xyz dragon on the opps turn assuming there's also a consistant way to get at least 1 dark in grave to banish.
@@TKDread well one of the new Xyz monsters can detach materials from other xyz monsters to search for more raizeols so the old phantom knights rank up is arguably more consistent.
@@FlashStatic only fishy part would be getting the parts into rotation. my knowledge is limited but i think the best ways are to rank up into arsenal to special mimicry or make a force strix and use the normal summon for mimicry. the second way can work under the R4 restriction.
@@TKDread Time thief perpetua attaches a spell to redoer. Ex Raizeol summons itself by dumping rebarian shark to the grave who then puts a RUM on top of your deck and redoer detaches the spell to draw a card. This combo requires many xyz summons but in tests I had no problem getting 4 out consistently.
@@FlashStatic I found a stupid simple line that does the job. Plug In can tuck another Plug in under Redoer... you then bin redoer using Node to reborn a raizeol so you have a dark in grave for the Rum =D
This archetype is nice. Nothing too crazy, but still decent. I wonder how this deck is going to be mostly played. A going first or a going second strategy?
The rank 4 in-archetype monsters are pretty cool but I can’t bring myself to have hopes for the archetype seeing as it locks you into rank 4s. I know you’re not locked into raizeol rank 4s but having these restrictions in this day and age put you at too big of a disadvantage I gotta say, I like the theoretical possibility of having a Dweller or a Bagooska with 4+ materials
This archetype looks pretty bad so far though, they need to rely on other rank 4 toolboxes to really get going reliably. Their own consistency is just not good enough and their on-field value isn't high either, so you need just have to be satisfied with their XYZ and some generic rank 4s, not really anything to write home about.
6:01 Not really. The only one that's remotely useful is Toad, who adds a Water from grave to hand, which doesn't seem relevant for this deck. Maybe if this deck ends up playing well with Utopia/Onomatopoeia cards, then Utopic Sage might also be decent, but even then, that only protects Utopia and Utopic cards, not anything else
This is Deck is honestly very dissapointing for me. Not because of the power level or anything, but because it just feels so... boring and generic. It just other Rank 4 spam Deck, it doesn't feel at all like a Deck Build Pack archetype. Like, the most interesting stuff they have design wise is that they have an Xyz that detaches 2 materials to search 2 cards, instead of the usual Xyz that detaches 1 to search 1 Edit: I just realize that the pseudo Drident is not once per turn. Thats kinda interesting, but the playstyle still feels to derivative

No omni-negates in-deck, but since there are no archetype locks, there may be some good Xyz monsters to splash here

You already know the last card is going to be some kind of ROTA Spell. A Quick-Play or something like the Goblin Biker ROTA would be fitting.
Ex Raizeol is a 1 card starter, ending on a 2700 ATK Deodrive (2 material follow-up) and 3200 ATK (5 pop) Deadnader.
Mimighoul being a flip archetype and now this being a rank 4 spam archtype...this decks might not be good but these are my cup of tea

Problem is ouroboros sends, not banishes. Current meta decks mostly don't care about sending hand to grave

The rank 4 toolkit is enough, also you can use the trap to go into non rank 4s. Also, it’s rest of turn, so you could play other XYZ

I’m so sick of side set archetypes being trash, especially the cool ones. When fiendsmith engraver is a 1 card ftk board that can bridge or be bridged into snake eyes and yubel combo, but rock of the vanquisher has a harsher link restriction than spright elf which is banned, something wrong

Nah yall don't see the vision. This does work with armored xyz engine. But the key thing is the extra deck cards play well with ANY xyz cards that give benefits will attached. That's the key.
Not just that you also can play thunder dragons with these guys. Trigger TD effects, normal summon the searcher. Go into colossus and then xyz plays from there.
Armored xyz works because your ED monster isn't specific materials. Summon it. Search two. Rank it up to 5. Play on from there. You don't NEED to use the "lock me in" affects first. Plenty of other cards that let you go xyz summon without restrictions THEN go into this stuff.
Is it busted? No but you can defintely make it work or tech it into other decks. The attaching materials is great for some monsters that need them to work. Even if you don't go into a ton of stuff you can use the armored xyz package go Zeus on your opponents turn and board wipe or go Typhon. You don't need them on your turn.
Most likely the last spell would be like seventh tachyon or bird call

If you can run a generic Rank 4 engine in this archetype, you can try make F0 to help against Nibiru before committing to Raizeol plays
Pretty sure you are locked out of making any non-rank 4’s while they are on fields or for the turn you use them.
They’re rogue at best right now.
The new Six Sam support just slaughters it. Not to mention that new Sinful spoils archetype with their first summon omni negate.

The only other xyz monster that I can find that likes being dumped is rebarian shark which can top deck a R.U.M. Maybe seventh one. Rank up spells can still be used as long as it’s before you get locked into rank 4.
Or use the one phantom Knights rum to make a dark req xyz dragon on the opps turn assuming there's also a consistant way to get at least 1 dark in grave to banish.
@@TKDread well one of the new Xyz monsters can detach materials from other xyz monsters to search for more raizeols so the old phantom knights rank up is arguably more consistent.
@@FlashStatic only fishy part would be getting the parts into rotation. my knowledge is limited but i think the best ways are to rank up into arsenal to special mimicry or make a force strix and use the normal summon for mimicry. the second way can work under the R4 restriction.
@@TKDread Time thief perpetua attaches a spell to redoer. Ex Raizeol summons itself by dumping rebarian shark to the grave who then puts a RUM on top of your deck and redoer detaches the spell to draw a card. This combo requires many xyz summons but in tests I had no problem getting 4 out consistently.
@@FlashStatic I found a stupid simple line that does the job. Plug In can tuck another Plug in under Redoer... you then bin redoer using Node to reborn a raizeol so you have a dark in grave for the Rum =D

Probably better first but the fact that one card can summon itself by sending aggregator xyz to imperm a card on field definitely helps going 2nd.

The rank 4 in-archetype monsters are pretty cool but I can’t bring myself to have hopes for the archetype seeing as it locks you into rank 4s. I know you’re not locked into raizeol rank 4s but having these restrictions in this day and age put you at too big of a disadvantage
I gotta say, I like the theoretical possibility of having a Dweller or a Bagooska with 4+ materials

This archetype looks pretty bad so far though, they need to rely on other rank 4 toolboxes to really get going reliably. Their own consistency is just not good enough and their on-field value isn't high either, so you need just have to be satisfied with their XYZ and some generic rank 4s, not really anything to write home about.

6:01 Not really. The only one that's remotely useful is Toad, who adds a Water from grave to hand, which doesn't seem relevant for this deck. Maybe if this deck ends up playing well with Utopia/Onomatopoeia cards, then Utopic Sage might also be decent, but even then, that only protects Utopia and Utopic cards, not anything else

This is Deck is honestly very dissapointing for me. Not because of the power level or anything, but because it just feels so... boring and generic. It just other Rank 4 spam Deck, it doesn't feel at all like a Deck Build Pack archetype.
Like, the most interesting stuff they have design wise is that they have an Xyz that detaches 2 materials to search 2 cards, instead of the usual Xyz that detaches 1 to search 1
Edit: I just realize that the pseudo Drident is not once per turn. Thats kinda interesting, but the playstyle still feels to derivative
