  • A brisk walk around the Metrocentre. I didn’t know what sort of response I’d get here. I didn’t push any buttons and got two different responses from guards/assistants and it ends with me going to see the management offices.
    Part 2 involves the conversation within the management offices.

    The Metro Centre is dead these days compared to the 90s and early 2000s people just don't want to walk around a giant building spending money they have not got on things they do not need .
    All the life and plants etc have gone it's quite depressing just walking around watching the Zombies that are still trapped in the building walking around aimlessly .

      True, however Amazon has replaced it with people being zombies on phones instead buying things they don’t need with money they don’t have.

    @museed't death: and all the other ill informed regarding public photo/film. Simple facts. Shopping centres & shopping malls, including all car parks and access points. although the public are allowed, they are privately owned. The owners or management and can apply any rules or restrictions they want. If no filming without permission is one of those rules. If you don't have any permission. The security can ask you to stop photo/filming. If you refuse they can ask you to leave. If you still refuse, the have every right to eject you using reasonable force. It's no different than being refused entry or thrown out of a pub. The only places your ALLOWED to Photo/Film supposedly without interference is from a "Public Right of Way" (footpath, bridleway, street or road) Unless the police get involved, as most people know the police don't obey the law ;-)

    • @protarget1
      @protarget1 Před 3 lety +1

      @Allan Gregory Correct On any private property the police have no jurisdiction or right to enter private property, unless invited by the owner or a warrant. That's way security are employed. and they can use reasonable force to remove you. It's no different than been ejected from a pub or night club.

    • @protarget1
      @protarget1 Před 3 lety +2

      @Flyer Distribution Lets try again, Fact's There is no legal right to film in public.. There is no written laws in the UK to say you can . You are ALLOWED. The reason why your ALLOWED is because of the millions of CCTV Cameras that's sprung up over the years. Hence the term. "There is no expectation of privacy in a public place". If there were laws brought in to restrict public photography/film because lets say a privacy issues. Then every CCTV Camera would have to come down. Big Brother wouldn't like that . In the US it is written in their Constitution as a legal right. Unlike the UK . The only places you are allowed to film/photo without any interference is from a public right of way. Footpath, bridleway, street or road. It's simple. If you can be banned from any premises then you have no right to be there. If the cameraman is on private grounds, irrespective whether the public are allowed, you still have no right to be there filming if told not to.. If asked to leave by security and you refuse, they can use reasonable force to remove you. It's no different that been thrown out of a Pub/Night Club. Only one privately owned company allows filming on their premises "Network Rail" but still with restrictions www.networkrail.co.uk/communities/railway-enthusiasts/guidelines-for-taking-photos-at-stations/

We don't US rights are backed up by law in the constitution. in the UK there is no written laws to allow you to film in public. You are "ALLOWED" BTW What people don't realise that there's no legal right of access on private housing estates. The roads are owned by a collection of all of the owners of the houses on the estate. . Each owner will own a share of the road. The owners may also own other common areas, such as open space and visitor parking areas. The owners will usually collectively hire a property manager to maintain the road and any associated green space. The only time they would be public access, is if any of the roads become adopted by the local highway authorities

Some may come in and openly film. It raises more questions if they're found to be covertly filming, so it may be easier to film openly and play it off as filming for shits n giggles
