I think the realism in the way he fights is awesome, when learning how to fight with knives you are taught to cut whatever your opponent comes at you with, if they punch stab their arm, if they tackle you stab their chest etc. and I love the way he brings that realistic fighting style to life.
The freaking battle screams he does are so damn intimidating, man. If some guy came running at me yelling like that, I'd just lay down right then and there.

For me it's hard to say between Punisher, Daredevil, Wolverine, Deadpool, and Ghost Rider. Would love to see a team of those five, something like X-force where they take on missions that others like the Avengers deem too dark or a line that they can't cross.

His superpower is in his rage as well as in his proficiency with guns, especially automatic guns. Thanos would cry for his mommy if Punisher breached security.

It's interesting to see how Frank doesn't even bother guarding hits; he just tanks them. As long as he gets the job done, he doesn't care what happens to him.
That was part of his regimen in one of his comic runs, he trained himself to tank body shots without flinching ( even though flinching from a punch helps lessen its damage ) so that anyone in a fight with him would immediately become intimidated by how absolutely unfazed he seemed to be by their punches.

Frank Castle was a beast in Daredevil but gradually changed in his own series, ruthless but with his own brand of justice.

@1:06 You see I love moments like this, when a comicbook character exudes their natural traits as an enhanced individual. Daredevil dodging a bullet at point blank range with that nice lean-back-matrix-style reflex. Reminding us that his reaction time is far beyond the natural human limits.
I like those little details.
Is not about reaction time, at least not fully. He heard frank's hand move close to the trigger, he heard him touching the trigger, he heard him start pulling the trigger. Plus, he knew which direction frank's hand was pointing. After all this, yes, reaction time
Apparently there were a few times where Frank shouted "I DON'T WANNA HURT YOU, RED," in some of his and daredevils fight scenes but they were scrapped
if that's true, that's a poor choice. because the show makes it seem like daredevil is way better than frank, when in reality, they are pretty even. it looks bad on the shows part because it makes it seem like the opponents have to be dumbed down when daredevil fights them so it's (almost) a guaranteed win.

3:49 is my favorite scene. Pre-punisher Frank Castle is a force to be reckoned with.
The thing I really like about this character (dunno if he's like this in the comics) is that he makes no pretense of having some sort of higher goal in killing these people. Nor does he really grandstand about it. He knows what he is and what he's doing. He's a monster. But he's ok with that, because as much as he knows he's wrong he's too filled with hatred for these people to care. They're the reason why he has nothing, so he'll keep taking and destroying so they can feel what he feels. It just so happens that killing them ends up benefiting the city of New York. Just like Daredevil's Vigilantism does the same.
I watched the Punisher first.
Then I finished Daredevil because I heard Frank was here.

See this..this right here is what made Punisher so damn RESPECTED! He didn't have to be likeable like they made him out to be in the Punisher series. I hoped they would keep this level of darkness and rage in the Punisher series, but sadly they (the creators) held him back from being a true fuckin force of nature death incarnate that they could've made him out to be.
Actually he is more brutal in the punisher series. The last fight with Billy, or the killing of Agent Orange by gauging out his eyes using his bare hands, or ripping out a piece of his neck with his mouth even when Frank was himself tied to a chair... You think that was less brutal than this?

Gotta appreciate that Frank doesn't use police firearms to arm himself because of the supposed evidence it would leave. That or he just only likes his guns.
The punisher parts of season 2 are probably some of the best TV in the past 10 or 15 years. The Elektra sections make sure to grind that my momentum to a halt. Really is a huge disparity of quality between the two storylines.

the only thing I don't like about the show is that Frank is not portrait as the psychopath that he actually is.
in the comics, the best Punisher stories always focus on how Frank is actually just a lunatic with training and guns, without any remorse and genuinely enjoys killing, it just so happens that he focuses his wrath on criminals, but he can just as well be on the other end.
The fact that the death of his family was a twisted way of him "becoming free" of his morals and become a complete psycho is super interesting and something that isn't explored in the series.
Here he is just a "Wolverine" copy that "kills because he's the man for the job", which is so not what the Punisher is about; it's like if the Doomguy/Doomslayer would only kill demons because it's the "right thing to do" instead of "he's just a psycho that kills demons for fun"
Ill never be able to accept another actor as the Punisher again. Bernthal nails it to perfection. No one else could even come close. The way he projects rage mingled with tragedy is unsurpassed by any other who ever tried taking on the mantle of the character.

I only saw a few episodes of Daredevil and never saw The Punisher at all. Needless to say, those fight scenes were incredible and I have to watch my Daredevil DVD. Punisher never came out on DVD or blu ray, is that correct?

Technically speaking, the Punisher is an antihero as he fights evil like heroes, but with the same methods as a villain. Its equivalent with superpowers would be Deadpool. But the one who I can't stand for that stupid empty moral is Daredevil.
