It really gives you a whole new level of appreciation for how many hours and hours and hours of hard work went into those first two L & F albums.

There is no Chicago anymore, just a brand name band made up of Bobby Lamm and a stage full of posers who can't even play their catalog of hits in any reasonable facsimile of sound whatsoever. They are a JOKE! There is nothing like Leonid & Friends on the planet when it comes to the band Chicago with the exception of the official Chicago recordings. For the LIVE experience there is Leonid & Friends and their Chicagovich CD's are awesome too!!

The instrumentation is out of this world, but the singing parts are even more impressive because of the language block. Hitting the notes is one thing, but they have to get the words right too. Very impressive band.
Mud Wiser absolutely agree with here. Amazing how they can turn off the accent when singing these songs

The ability of the horns to play in unison is truly special... Perfect phrasing, pitch, attacks, releases... That is SO hard to do! Hearing everything dry also shows how good everyone really is!
This is great and love the subtitles- I can’t imagine how difficult it was to learn to speak English much less sing and play this great music-they all sound so good- miraculous!
I was in a band that covered a lot of Chicago’s tunes, way back in the early seventies. We learned them the same way...listening to it ( on vinyl no less) over and over again and trying to find the notes until it sounded right. Fortunately, the band had some really good musicians who could pick out the harmonies. I really have to admire Leonid and Friends for taking on what for us was difficult but for them, doubly so. Bravo!
The English pronunciation has always been so good that I thought that everyone spoke English well. I had no idea how much work went into pronouncing words like an American. I'm even more impressed now!
Ah, the hard hard work that goes into the stellar videos we all watch and love!
The musical and lyrical technicalities are astounding for any musician let alone those in a different language without a musical score to start from, until Leonid interpreted one. Bravo! Would love to see some of the sound engineering and video and lighting setups as well to further appreciate the entire package!
I guess I didn't know how extraordinarily hard this was. Especially getting the voice to sound American. BUT they have all done very well!

You could say Vasily's got his job to do, and to do it well... =) Their vocals are amazing - even more so since it's not their native language. Not sure most of would fare so well trying to sing a song in Russian!

As a musician/entertainer, I know how taxing rehearsals can be. I am so happy to say that everything these guys (and Ksenia) put themselves through is well worth the work they've put into the perfection of each song. Also, being from Chicago, and having always enjoyed the band's songs, it is extremely satisfying to see a tribute band "hit the proverbial nail on the head". Well done to Leonid and Friends for all of their hard work. Thank you all!
I love every one of your awesome musicians. Hugs from an American guy who grew up listening to this and attended a couple Chicago concerts in Chicago as a kid. YOU GUYS ROCK! :) And you sense of humor comes through in Russian. I cannot imagine singing a rocking Russian tune IN RUSSIAN. No way.

Fascinating to see how difficult it is for talented and skilled performers from another culture to sound like they were born here, and the payoff is to see and hear how perfectly they do it! I love all these songs, videos and the reveals. You must love them too; or you wouldn't have put out all this effort. I really enjoy seeing your enjoyment of doing these songs so we'll. WOW!!!

They do some incredible work! Anyone who has ever worked in the recording business understands the high level of energy and focus needed to complete a goal. This group has the added pressure of replicating the sound and getting the English words just right. Amazing!
I've been watching leonid and Friends for years now and even brought the music, so you would think after following them for so long that I would not be impressed with Leonid and Friends, but I am, they impress me the more that I watch them and I am happier for it.

These outtakes show how hard it is, even for professional musicians, to piece together a perfect-sounding song. Chicago's songs make the process all the more difficult, because of the many instruments and vocal harmonies. But with L&F you can be sure the final product will sound perfect. Thanks, guys!

I'm sure this 5-min vid doesn't even scratch the surface of the work, more work, frustration, more work, more frustration, belly laughs, frayed patience, and still more work, that goes into the creation of the final product. So just to make it clear, from this Chicago fan, your end results are completely AWESOME!! Every time I enjoy one of your videos, I can't begin to wrap my head around how it's possible to get such crisp strings, sparking horns, multiple vocals, laser-tight percussion, and all the other components, all coming together with the precision of a Swiss watch, in a studio session done in a very "live performance"-like manner. And while making it look like near-effortless, smile-a-minute fun to boot! Much, much appreciation for what you guys are doing!
It's crazy how they bring it all together and are able to deliver, making it look absolutely seamless , without any effort, and the look to enjoy playing as much as I enjoy listening!

It is not lost on us in America how difficult it is to sing these songs in a language you are not fluent in and yet do such a wonderful job! Thank you to everyone in Leonid and Friends. I have both albums and we have tickets to your show that is tentatively scheduled for July at the Northfield, Ohio MGM casino..... of course that is subject to change with the current situation. But I hope to one day see you live! I can't wait!

Love the behind the scenes videos. It shows how hard it really is to produce the high quality music and videos, that you do so well. Doing it in a language that is not your native tongue , increases the difficulty, exponentially.

I guess we should've known that the tight precision, the crispness, the perfection L&F is known for doesn't come without countless hours of painstaking rehearsal behind the scenes. Made even more complicated by doing the lyrics in a non-native language. Major kudos!!

Heard Chicago live four or five time. First time in Kingsville, Tx back around 70 or 71. Terry Kath became my favorite guitarist after that. These guys may be even better. Wow. Please, more music please.
