Long ago, in the fantasy world of Kumandra, humans and dragons lived together in harmony. But when sinister monsters known as the Druun threatened the land, the dragons sacrificed themselves to save humanity. Now, 500 years later, those same monsters have returned and it’s up to a lone warrior, Raya, to track down the last dragon in order to finally stop the Druun for good. However, along her journey, she’ll learn that it’ll take more than dragon magic to save the world-it’s going to take trust as well. From directors Don Hall and Carlos López Estrada, co-directors Paul Briggs and John Ripa, producers Osnat Shurer and Peter Del Vecho, and featuring the voices of Kelly Marie Tran as Raya and Awkwafina as Sisu.

I wish we saw the dinner time scene purely because that would have been hilarious with Namari saying “It’s like 3 in the afternoon why are you yelling dinner ti-“
yess ugh we were robbed
We were robbed
I NEED to see Namaari and Raya together romantically if there's a second film😭the romantic tension was... EXTREME
PLEASE- ✨✋😭✨
knowing Disney since they love playing it super safe it won't happen
@@EmpressEveningGlow Yeah you're probably right 😕
Why do people nowadays always assume romance is in the air? From the scene alone, it sounds like taunting to me; getting the other to crack and become angry at the other to let the other's guard down. In the beginning, it shows Raya and Namari becoming buddies because of their love for dragons! Also, not even twenty-four hours later, Namari betrays Raya and there's this frenimies relationship throughout the movie. Call me old-fashioned, but they were KIDS when they met, for pity's sake! Plus, Raya was against trusting Namari until Sisu begged her to try, only to have it shattered AGAIN when Sisu supposedly dies. In the last scene before they defeat the Drunn, they had a battle royale with NAMARI refusing to accept her part in the blame, claiming it was 'all Raya's fault'! Does THAT sound like a budding romance? Can't we just enjoy a movie that hasn't put romance up front for a change? Like Moana?
@@EmpressEveningGlow But they did cast gay characters in some movies. Although one was in Jungle Cruise and he just mentioned he was gay.
We need the Dragon Blade as a separate movie, it's really interesting I WANT to watch it
Maybe it could be for Raya and the last Dragon 2
I really wanna watch it too so bad :D
@@Phillipking-kp7cg I hope
Raya
The dragon blade
The dragon blade
Raya
I know right
that fish cat scene was robbed from us. that would have been absolutely adorable and funny 07:18
AGREED
We needed more Cat Mounts period
The "Dinner Time" scenes would've been so funny!! 😂😂😂🤣🤣
My fav part was when Namari was like:
"What? It's 3'o clock in the afternoon. Why would you yell 'dinner time'?"
Yeah HAHAHAHAHA
I wish the flower heart were kept in production, because the lesson of the movie were somehow misinterpreted by peopls. They think that the moral of the movie was "Trust, no matter what, even the damaged of batrayal was too hard." If the flower heart were kept, people would understand the lesson of the story that "If the world might seem to fall and the trust of people may fade, someone must take the first step and lead the way of trusting," just like a domino effect, like the flower heart.
You got the movie's point of trust. It's the loyalty I saw without any trouble, Sisu scenes showing be careful who you support but be kind even to those you don't quite like. The flower heart's result would depend on the person though many people quickly get confused even with film shared symbols.
8:48 "...never heard of... HIM" that's gave me chills, I loved the idea of Dragon Blade omg
Maybe we could use that idea for a Disney+ series.
They should have kept the 'dinner time' and 'cats distracted by fish' thing XD
that would have been halerious!
i have to say, i think they made the right decisions all around.
the movie, as released, is one of the best to come out in years, in my humble opinion.
my mind was blown by the incredible animation and i thought the storyline was perfectly balanced between disney fun and moral lessons.
most importantly, aquafina was as awesome i as i knew she would be!! 💖
instant classic!! 🤗
Yay finally some true lovers of Raya!
I know it would've been a little more dark, but everything would've been more cool if they kept these ideas! :D
hello there 👀
@@floretfall what is up my dude (lol jk)
i agree @Golden Thorn
Facts
I like Nuanced!Numari. But I don’t see why they couldn’t have kept most of the Ideas. They fit thematically (and they definitely feel cut to the film’s detriment-I LIKE the film, and “Hello Princess Undercut!” does my sapphic aroace heart good. But…how Raya meets her crew feels like an afterthought now, as does her sudden trust after essentially being preached at
It could’ve been a lot *better* (and I’m honestly kinda mad-usually I totally get why scenes get cut or changed. This time…not really.)
I watched this movie at my last day of school! Also ty for showing us the deleted scenes that so nice of you! :) new subscriber!
What a lovely way to spend that last day! And you're very welcome for the video! Thanks so much for subscribing! 😊
@@FlicksAndTheCity your very welcome! Cant wait to see more entertaining videos from you!
Thank you!
Same I did to
@@FlicksAndTheCity omg I love your vids!
I definitely would have loved to see things from Namaari’s side… she seems misunderstood and dealt with the inaccurate information she had the beat she could. Also it would be Beautiful to see Namaari and Raya interact more … deepen their relationship and just let the romance bloom on the screen the same way they let straight couples partner up 🥰❤️
Omg, not you making them couples 🙄
Thanks for sharing! I think they did the right thing with not including the majority of these scenes. I do agree that if they included the final one of none of the dragons resurrecting, it would have been more powerful and striking.
It would of been though. People would of been in tears and them dying makes more sense but it is Disney.
It's Disney for a reason.
As a Indonesian, I proud this Film
God bless Southeast Asia
Sisu: I sense a gem piece!
Me: Who are you now Kagome from the anime Inuyasha???
*realization of possible theory*
Dragon blade seems cold and stiff to me, thank God they made the change and made Raya a more relatable character.
Who cares if she's relatable? She's just a better character in the official.
Dragon blade is her secret form so it's ok if they made her cold to hide her identity
I think Namarii and Raya have a Catradora dynamic
literally! and the deleted scene shows it so much!
I NEED THE DINNER TIME SCENE THAT WAS SO AMAZING
It would have been a completely different movie... They can make these cuts in part 2 it would be great if they include them
They should totally figure out another way to make dragon blade since that seems pretty interesting
yeah maybe in a series or something
That could be a good concept.....for a game
Maaan... Seeing this, thinking what could have been, than remembering what they end up do.... I'm sad. With some of this changes this could have been a way better movie (not great but better) and most importantly more unique
Raya the last dragon would be way cooler as an anime
I wanna see a full version of the movie in the old story idea
My sister said "so she's like the "new Moana"" while I was watching this movie and the old druun being able to recreat it's linbs remind me of the lava monster (I forgot it's name) from the movie Moana
Te Fiti
I just watched this movie and I cried omg how BEAUTIFUL
The ending was good
Technically these are not deleted scenes, these are just story boards, which mostly do not get used untill the secound and or later draft, there are many of these scenes, which dont count as deleted scenes. deleted scenes would technically be scenes from the final film, being deleted and never showed as the final film.
lol
Well Disney released them as deleted scenes on the official Blu-ray...
@@FlicksAndTheCity ahh ok, interesting, haha.
thanks ^*^"
usualy i wouldnt count these as delted scenes but if it was dubbed by the creartors as deleted scenes, then theres no arguing with that haha
My initial thought when I watched this movie was that it was a mix of ATLA and Moana.
I did think of ATLA while watching this movie. Both being so martial art based and culture based.
Yes, Raya and The Last Dragon better be not doing with Disney elements.
Awesome video As Expected 👌
Thanks a ton! 😊
You are not lord
I love this movie.
I like the scrap version of the druun
Kumandra was one large HAPPY NAMAARI
Really good so far
I kinda prefer humanoid looking villains rather than...purple evil cloud
I wish the flower scene made it in. It actually fits with the themes very well and is still different enough…verses Sisu being used to preach at Raya (who quite literally lost everything to a massive betrayal and didn’t owe anyone anything…but was made to feel like she did)
I also wish they kept Raya being a well-known vigilante. Same reasoning: it fits with the themes, and allowing others to help (with or without the same betrayal).
So, Raya with the flowers and as a known defender? She’s still jaded (and has good reason to be), but she’s also altruistic, and returns to her prior altruism and her father’s dream. It’s just more complete-“you hurt me, I owe you nothing. But these people didn’t, and they need someone to protect them. You don’t get to change my heart, too.”
I wish Raya and the last Dragon stayed original
I have watched raya 100 times
in the Luca stuff you must you forget when Luca said mother of pearl that's what mister crabs says in sponge bob
Nice, I'm now a new subscriber
Awesome, thank you! 😊
Wow first time getting a comment from a popular CZcamsr thanks!
You're very welcome! 😊
I'd rather have the deleted film than the actual movie
Me too. The deleted scenes were less generic.
Numari and Raya look like they could have been sisters
I love the video!
Awesome, thank you!
Meee toooo I love Disney Animation Studios
Deleted scenes actually can be Raya And the last Dragon 2 lol
i love this!
I don't mind that these were deleted especially the scene that looks like poor Raya fighting monsters on the street. I had no difficulty with this film's original communication. I love Sisu, I'm big enough fan to offer Sisu brand new stories in fiction.
To be honest I saw what I know
LOL
Omg how did i missed this video :(
The original Nimari reminds me so much of catra
Is it just me or does anyone else think that namaari is very pretty
Me!
Pretty buff*
The Dinner Time Scene was funny
Wayy too much storytelling and exposition in this movie. I liked the trust theme, and how Raya had to trust Namaari before anything could be fixed, that was a good climax, however, throughout the movie they kinda shoved that theme in your face. It was getting repetitive and annoying how much the writers tried to highlight Raya's trust issues... We get it, oh my god.
ALSO (sorry for the rant), the side characters were useless. I did not care one bit for the big guy, the small guy, and the baby (why was there a baby).
This movie had potential, but it became another Disney film with better visuals/animation than the story. They really gotta understand that the classic animations that we all remember today weren't because of the legendary visuals, but because of the memorable storyline and poignant moments after we had a chance to really connect and understand the characters. They're really going the logical route for a lot for a lot of the latest animations, and it's not working.
Yep, Disney now is just showing how good they can animate
This movie has so much potential given the rich culture its based on, but the writing wasn't good enough to make it impactful. I agree with you about the trust theme being repetitive, yet not developed enough as a build up to the main climax. I mean- the side characters seems to trust namaari only because Raya asked them to, not because they've understand and bond with each other. The ending is going to be much more impactful and earned if they put much time to develop Namaari's redemption and give each characters a moment to connect. I was disappointed with this ugh it has so much potential but they missed the opportunity to make it more meaningful.
@@Liashideout Couldn't have said it better! They didn't give anyone enough time to grow, that was the biggest disappointment and downfall of this movie...
@@Liashideout I think that's the problem: it's just a movie. The culture is rich, the problem is something that happen long ago, the casts are faried instead of one or two, the message they want to bring across is trust, something that is build upon a long time in which Raya and the others have but not Namari. It maybe much better if the movie is a series instead, where they could build upon the world and the casts slowly but in detail.
@@kadeknadya3726 none of the cast trusted each other until the climax, imo. They bonded for a short period of time. it's a quick build up and they bonded out of necessity to survive. It's quite forced imo. I also agree that this movie has too much character with too little time to build their relationship. The sad thing would be if Disney wont make another movie based on each of SEA nation because of this movie's bad reputation and lack of profit. Though I must say its for the better, I guess. Animation industry in SEA has grown a lot better these past few years. I'd just wait for animation made by locals and developed by locals. They'd have the best understanding of their own culture.
I like both versions 😀
So We'Re GoNnA hAvE a LoT oF sPoILeRs
Me who watched the show before this vid: I don't have such weaknesses
To be honest i wouldn't have changed it from how it is now but the way they had the drugu however you spell it should have been left with a humanoid like figure i fell it would have given them a little more character them selves
True, but you gotta admit, we see Hatred and Discord as more monstrous than human, even when we are the only species on earth who are flawed with it. While the mystical droids had their moments, I liked the idea of the Drunn being this unstoppable force that can only be held at bay for a time; like our emotions, it's a kind of energy we feel, only resembling more like the Dementors from Harry Potter. Instead of sucking away happiness, it turns people to... mindless husks of stone. Huh, I guess they're not so different after all! ^^;
@@kaytlinjustis5643 yeah i guess this is very true i do like how they put it but i feel it would make more sense to have them in a human form not in a droid way but like the husk of humans and as they took the souls of people they increased in numbers or something like that
@@Spartan-hg7ej that would it sadder for me and everyone else. Imagine Raya has to fight a form similar to her own father.
@@kadeknadya3726 well yeah but it would give more character and depth to the story don't you think?
@@Spartan-hg7ej true
I love Raya and the last dragon!
Ok
Yes
Yup
Have a awesome day
And you! 😊
U know the micheals vs the machines as well?! Wow
I wish everything was included in the movie!
They showed trust needs to be earned but the dragon said to blind trust. Then the movie said the dragon was right while showing the opposite
0:07 good transition
I think they did really well with this one i wouldn't want any of the deleted scenes in the movie
Finally found this comment! The movie was and is remarkable beyond words! Sadly many don't see that :(
Something bugs me in Raya and the last dragon and it’s about Raya did she ever had a mum?
Probably dead, and so is Namaari's father.
7:00 just want to point out that they sound like adora and catra. Like the voice actors sound like them, and have similar banter i dont know.
this could be a good sequel
WHATT they toook so much out of this aaa
The one with Boun. If Namaari was a traditional Disney villain, the gay coding would fit in with the mold.
Awe see love Disney. They sacrificed such a cool thing for the grater good. They always do the right thing the Disney thing. I love Disney like I love Jesus but ya Jesus then Disney. So cool how they show the original ideas.
I honestly totally get you bro!
How do you find these deleted scenes
I wached the movie and LET ME TELL YOU IT WAS GOOD
I need a movie with two lesbian enemies aggressively flirting with each other- I just- please-
I mean... just watch Raya and the Last Dragon, lmao.
I like the way they did the movie overall but I personally think it would have been better if Sisu died. The rest of the dragons were stone so it made sense they came back but Sisu was shot, she should have remained dead. And if they wanted a moment where Sisu forgave Namari then they could have had her spirit say goodbye. But she was the only dragon who came back from actually death and we have no explanation or purpose to it, it just happened. (Personal opinion)
watch it again....
the other dragons, specifically her siblings, used their magic to bring sisu back, as most any sibling would, if they could. 🤗
I’m sorry but your personal opinion sucks. If they had done that it would’ve absolutely broke me and probably a lot of other people.
@@angelicareal7381 as an author myself, all I have to say is... that is our goal 😏 (and don't get me wrong it would have broken me too, I just think it made more sense overall and that Disney only avoided it cause they've moved past their lion king time)
i love the video and the movie so much 👍
😊

I WANT THAT DINNER TIME SCENE DISNEY
If these ideas were added into the actual movie itself, it wouldn't have been so bad.
caitlin van heerden Would HAVE or would’ve.
They usually delete the scenes to make the movie shorter.
Maybe if it is a series similar to ATLA?
Like, what if in those 6 years Raya was the Dragon Warrior? Fighting and saving people against the Druum, but never once agree to have someone as her sidekick since she did it just to save her father, the only reason she save them was because she just so happen to be there. But she never famous, since I don't think anyone can go anywhere without fearing of Druums finding them and turned them into stones.
i wish raya wood not diea.
Actually... that alternative take - with heart of the dragon and Dragon Blade seems very interesting. And for me it still wouldn't really seen "to similar to Moana".
But romantic tension between Ray and Manari? Nah, I definitely don't see it, I think that's purely delusional claim.
Yaaaaas
Ok but do you guys think raya and under cut girl would make a good ship?
That seen where your talking about romance between ria and na Marie it sounded like she ra and catra
Feel a bit too long for a movie. But they can bring these back if they are doing TV series.
Sisu: I sense a gem piece

I just want the dinner time scene
Hi
I watched the movie last night
I would’ve liked the drone with buddies
Omg

What!!!!!!!
My name is actually raya but it’s spelled riyah i freaked oht when i heard about this movie in october in 2020
Who knows they might makes a 2nd one
nemari was using a naganita or naganata
That deleted scenes are more like the part of Kingdom Heart
Also known as the Heartless,
Why can’t that be a part 2
who else wishes this could have been a musicallll
Meeeeeeee, like songs between Raya and Namari's friendship, it would make sense the betrayal if they had so much fun before the betrayal scene.
