Very important to keep clean. My folks had stopped using their dryer because vent was so clogged that it just steamed their clothes instead of drying them! I pulled the dryer out and used a leaf blower to force everything through. No luck until I realized that the outlet was on the roof. I got up there and removed the vent cap and tried again. My mother said it looked like Mt. Vesuvius erupting into the sky! 🤣 All good after that.
I would have paid money for a view of that and popcorn. That sounds like an awesome video.
That is a GREAT idea! I happen to have the world's most powerful backpack leaf blower (Echo PB-9010T). This is gonna be fun! Plus, it's a short distance to the vent outlet on the other side of the wall. So, shouldn't be any major issues.
The key to a successful business is right here in this video. Great owner, great employees and first class equipment.
I am a retired firefighter of 41 years. My entire career was spent in Augusta Georgia. The last 21 years was in the position of Battalion Chief. You are 100% correct about when to and when not to run your dryer.
Me 20years as a FF. You're right Chief. These guys are doing it right.
Good call on adding it! It’s such an easy upsell and a totally necessary service! One of the leading causes of house fires is a dirty dryer vent. I’ve personally done hundreds of them and they’re honestly a ton of fun to do. We found that any couplers in the line lead to snags so watch for that!
I was just about to talk about this being a needed service and about house fires!
It's a very neglected responsibility on maintaining a House! Another thing too is many vents don't have a safety screen on the outside and if people don't have one installed highly advised! Otherwise you take the chance of critters crawling in through the vent and into the dryer....speaking from indirect experience my cousins left to california put his dryer on before he went and while he was gone a rabbit crawled up in the vent somehow got into the dryer while it was still on and died! Destroyed the dryer!
Fire can generate from inside the dryer too, the bottom of the dryer is typically just empty space. And over the years a layer of vent material can build up, one little spark will lite it up. I had this happen to me, the heating element was open at the bottom. And with age one of the elements burned away and fell in the dust.
My moms drier kept stopping within 4 minutes of being started. Even though she assured me there wasn’t anything wrong with her vents (she lives alone in a 8 year old house), I still got someone out there to clean them. They sent me photos and videos of the cleaning, she had a 4 inch long clog that reduced the vent to a fraction of an inch. Drier works great now, and she cannot believe how much lint there was. Clean your vents! If anything, at least get a DIY kit from the hardware store.
Honestly, for a house that old i dont think it was all that much, at least not in the area they were able to reach.. Theres probably much more in the dryer itself and the dryer duct closest to the dryer.
do NOT attempt to use the spinning brush on your own, especially if your vent has bends or longer than 10 feet. As somebody who does this for a living, I have seen so many customers get that thing stuck in there all twisted up and had to pay over $500 to get new vent installed.
Dad just wanted to play with the new toys! Dad’s childhood home has a beautiful exterior and the kind of yard all the neighborhood kids would have came to play in. What a great new service to offer! I bet your customers are going to appreciate it greatly.
Your dad is the kind of man I never had for a dad and you are the kind of person I hope my son becomes one day. A wonderful family. Blessings to all.
This is one of the most overlooked maintenance items.
This is not only a safety item, it also affects the efficiency of your dryer.
Nice real nice
Really like seeing the family together. Your Dad is a great guy with super business sense.
Dads are people too
When I was 3 or 4, my neighbor’s house burnt down due to a dryer fire, and that’s stuck with me my entire life. I’m compulsive (as my parents were after seeing that) about keeping the vent, hose and dryer output clean. I think this is a wonderful added service for your clients! You’ll end up saving someone a whole lot of heartache from losing everything in a fire. Great video as always Myles - love to see the family keeping Grandmother safe! As for your Dad - may I suggest a lint roller be kept in the van? 😄
One major tip - wear face covering while doing this! I caught a nasty sinus infection last year from getting a faceful of lint at work, and I could have avoided weeks of agony by just wearing a simple dust mask.
Yes, PPE is important
Plus polyester fibers from clothing can get into your lungs and cause similar issues to asbestos/drywall/insulation.
Literally replaced my outside vent yesterday. Over 30 years old and long overdue. Quite a few years back I had a coworker complaining that his dryer wasn’t working well. He’d never cleaned his vent since moving in decades before. The first part was rigid metal, but past that was about a 20 foot run of vinyl duct with the diameter reduced to about 2 inches by all the lint. 😖
Aww, this was an important video, but also good to see everyone!! You can see the pride and sentiment in your Dad when he speaks of when he was a kid playing on the yard. So cute! Thanks y'all!
Wow, Caymon has gotten so big!
Great to see you as a family at your grandparents house. I think you are spot on with this new service. It is so important.
I had this done recently, my exit is out the top of the roof. I was amazed by the build up. This is a great service to add!
I haven't cleaned the vent yet, but I had to disassemble and repair my dryer, boy was it full of lint!! Vent catching fire! The lint is just hanging out next to open flames in that baby! Also, now I know it isn't that hard to disassemble most dryers and fix them.
Safety. Practicality. Necessary Maintenance. A family working well together ❤ 👏 💛!!!!!! Great business sense! Great common 👏 👍 sense! As always: Fabulous video!!!!!
Such a handsome bunch!!
Great service to offer!! We had ours cleaned a couple months ago…. Our condo complex had every unit dryer vent cleaned!
I loved that slo-mo to normal speed shot, Well done~
This service is absolute GENIUS! Love your family vibe!!!❤️
This is a very important service for everyone, and great advice at the end. Last year I started my dryer and left for 15 minutes, came back to my house on fire. Something I will NEVER do again.
Thank you for the information about the dryer! I did not know that. I love the family business; your passion for what you do shows in your work, and your love for one another is present in all your videos. God bless you guys! 🙏🏽
DaD ain't old! 😂😂😂 Carlo is so adorable!
Good strong family. Definitely an inspiration for us all.
It is a great service to offer. But, the best part of all your videos is the family interaction. If all families had what you do we would be a much stronger country. I was blessed to have phenomenal parents. That gave me the foundation for a wonderful life. God Bless.
Can't wait to see future videos of the dryer vent cleaning. Great addition to your services!
Just some observations, get rid of the quick connect on the end near the nozzle, it's too heavy to let the heads spin/work, just make up a whip hose for each that is long enough that you can put the quick connect further away and let the nozzle float and spin freely. Next, get rid of the tiny vinyl hoses and tiny quick connects, they greatly limit your CFM getting to the nozzles, go with the larger hoses and better flowing connections to boost flow and make them run and clean better.
Dad was having fun! 😊. I liked this though. Definitely satisfying. 👍🏼👍🏼
You all have the sweetest relationship. I love watching your family and I hope your business continues to increase.
Nothing like a family business!
That's such an underrated service. Now I'm curious to see how our duct looks.
Great addition! I didn’t know this tool existed for dryer vents. I do this quarterly on our dryers at work, but we use the spinning brushes with 8,000 attachment rods. They’re cumbersome and time consuming. I got one stuck a few months back and we couldn’t knock it free. My boss tried with the second brush and it got stuck too. He ended up cutting the duct to get them out. I’ll be pitching these tools to him this week!
I absolutely love this video happy that you all added another greatly needed service too. It was good to see all you boys with your dad helping out he sets such a great example for y'all. I know grandma is proud of him. Myles way to keep Cool Cayman at little brother status with that race 😆
Aww pops like "I'm old?" I was just told a kid I used to babysit is 19 and he has a kid already I was like OMG IM OLD!
What a wholesome family.
What beautiful characters you men are. ❤️
I'm so glad to see you also do this ASMR!!
Dad was so proud showing us his home. Thanks for sharing!
Awesome! I wish these guys were in my area! Love to watch how thorough they are. Great new service!
Your dad still young leave him alone 😂😂 . . What he like 42? . . Its always nice when y'all get new equipment or add another service, you can see the excitement written all over your father 😁
Brilliant, such a well oiled and well trained machine guys, Respect❗
Awesome. Great job guys.
That is so cool. Great service addition.
Love seeing dad and brothers teaching each other ❤
Man, this is what I need for my arteries lol!
This was so satisfying to watch, I wish I had access to even half the tools you guys have!
May be not too far off from that type of technology.
Lmaooo
I didn't even know this was quite a service!
Good of you taking one for the team with that dryer vent blast! Really important to learn about this kind of service.
This is a terrific service to add. I do mine myself, but because ours is vented through the roof, I have to move the dryer to perform the service. It’s a royal PITA to re-seat the venting, as it’s all sheet metal (no accordion duct due to space limitations and the previous accordion type installation would collapse). I would love having someone I trust do the work competently. As my husband and I age, I imagine we’ll find someone. The first time I cleaned the ductwork, the dryer was performing poorly and the area around the lint screen was always clogged. We had a friend whose house burned to the ground due to a clogged dryer vent, so we’ve always been aware. I used my iPhone camera to see up the vent stack, and you couldn’t see any light at all. The vent was completely clogged. After using a vent brush kit attached to our drill, you could see the vent cap and blue sky and could actually SEE the vent stack itself. But it’s a MESSY job done from inside. Hire a professional if you can!
Beautiful family man! Great to be able to pass down these type of skills, you’re very blessed.
This reminds me. I need to clean out my vent, and dryer. Took a long time to dry my laundry the other day.
I love these videos 💜 What a beautiful family 🥰
I love the dryer vent,I love to smell the nice scent that the dryer blows through the vent.
Great Service!
What a great idea! Wonderful results guys👍
Your father's childhood home is very nice. Nice that your company cleans vents.
Yay! We get to see little big brother... Damn he's big!
Our clothes dryers just go in our laundry's here and we empty the lint filter attached to the dryer, after we've used it.
We don't use dryers here very often due to our dry climate
Great service to add! Do you think ACS will eventually get into whole house duct cleaning?
I would love to become an apprentice. I am a house keeper/ floor guy. I do carpets and wax floors mainly. You guys could teach me so much. So I could go back to my home state and start a cleaning service. Much respect.
loved that y'all are teaching the yougin the ways!!! Will be a fine young gentlemen when he get older
It's so beautiful seeing the generational love and care.
Awesome Service.
Love the new camera. The HD quality is exceptional!
Funniest part at 11:30 removing the cable. Hahahahaha!!!
Great service to add complimenting what you already offer. Plenty of scope for really satisfying cleaning videos as well.
Great service.
How about adding a funnel-shaped net or similar, that attaches around the hose to catch the majority of the lint being blown out? Then you'll avoid getting nearly as dirty and having to blow yourself off (phrasing)..
Preferably hard plastic flame or similar, so you can push it over the opening.
That's what I was thinking too! Not only would it keep all the particles off of the person doing the cleaning, it would collect everything and you could see how much was actually in the vent.
Thank you for sharing this and taking care of moms house.
That is a great service to offer - lifesaving!
Great video! I didn't know that there was such a tool to clean out dryer vents. My mother in-law used to tell me not to run the dryer when I'm not home, I thought she was just being paranoid. I guess she was right! 👍😊❤️
The two youngest Clean Team members have grown up so much since I first started watching :)
To me it's wild that dryer vent tubes like this exist. In Australia we don't tend to have those, but some people have ducted vacuuming so who knows. I can imagine they'd be great places for critters to hide out, as well as add to the many fires we already have due to dryer lint etc.
You might want to use a mesh bag around the vent (to catch the lint), or find a way to run a vacuum so it catches the lint as it comes out. Maybe a big blower vac tube like you might use in a wood shop to catch the dust off a lathe?
We tend to hang our clothes outside in the sunshine to dry, electricity is expensive here, costs about $8 a load to dry, in a 4kg dryer.
I did this all summer one summer with my friend who is a Vet. We came up with an idea for him to be inside of the home with an electric leaf blower sealed to the vent with a coupling i designed to prevent a mess and I’ll be outside using the drill brush/whip depending on what comes out. The cleaning process would take about 20min and it comes out spotless. He would then take apart the dryer to clean the dryer itself. Many people just do the vents but forget about the dryer. All in the job was 1.5hrs and everything checked out perfectly. I remember going to a development site and the property owner came up to us and said can you please come and do the whole development it hasn’t been done in about 30 years 😮 we both said omg lol 😂 but point is this is just as important as doing a yearly PM on your heating system. It has to get done.
So satisfying to see the dirty vs clean vents! Lol you got Cayman good! 🤣
Sweet family interactions. Lovely.
Wholesome stuff.
That first tool with the flappers can work for a/c vents too. May want to add that for a service! Helps get rid us dust in house and provably helps with allergies
Aren't the ac ones bigger though?
Yep, I never leave the house with my dryer on! Love your videos. ❤
To prevent you guys getting so full of lint and hair..use a shop vacuum next time. The even have an adapter that will allow you to vacuum and run the hose at the same time. Keep up the great job Dad..you've seem to have been raised well and passing it on to your own boys also..
That new service is a great idea!! So many people neglect it and it can get messy...not to mention burn a house down. Cayman is getting so tall...Your dads done a great job from what I see in both the business and the family..very blessed:-) Happy May Day guys:-)
I don't have anyone around where I live that cleans dryer vents, so I bought a dryer vent cleaning brush. Got a whole bunch of lint out and it reduced drying time.
That is a great service to add on. Not many people get theirs done and it makes it that much more important. Miles... Looking good as always. Is that Cayman I see!😲😲😲 And Carlo!!! Growing like a weed! Papa always gets you to laugh no matter what he says. Great video guys. Sending everyone love and hugs.
Really cool tools! As far as being covered in dust afterward, a good pair of lightweight coveralls will work well to keep it off you for the next job
Great service to add. Get the dryer vents cleaned
I do dryer vent cleaning. But I use rods with the brush and a shop vac. That way I can catch the debris and show the customer. Though your setup can also be used on dusty ac ducts. Might look into what you got.
Great job.
I love you guysssssss 😍
So cool to watch.
Interesting - it is very similar to the jetting tools/system plumbers use to open blocked drains, except you use air and they use water through the nozzles. Cool. 👍🏼😊
Very beautiful childhood home.
Love the bloopers❤️
Excellent video
This is a very useful service that gets missed out on a lot but definitely can help save on drying time and reduce potential fires.
I would think grabbing a pair of safety glasses and perhaps have a mesh net over the tube to catch the flying bits coming out so there's no cleaning up of the yard and less mess on your clothes.
You guys are such a cute wholesome family
Hi Guys, needs some sort of pipe bung with a Y shape pipe like a drain junction fitting one side for a vac hose and one side for the air cleaner brush pipe. Then you can also show how much fuff and dust has been collected. Great channel 👍👍👍
Love your dad so much
Your dad isn’t old, you young whipper snapper! You should hope you look as good as he does when you’re his age. 🤣 I clean my dryer vent once a year.
That is a very good idea guys.
That's a great service to add! If you remove the weight at the end of the hose, by removing the quick connects, it will be easier to feed it into the pipe. The less weight on the hose the better it can push itself down the pipe. Great video!
Great tips! Thanks
I love the father son bond❤️❤️
A good tip for any one with a dryer, you don't need a tool. But from time to time when drying a load, go around to the vent if possible. And just make sure it's pushing a good amount of air, if anything make sure the flapper is being opened.
This is a great great service I bought my first home and the dryer vent was so clogged it wasn’t allowing my new dryer to dry it was so clogged they had to drill holes in the duct work in the basement at the curve part it cost me about 180 bucks and they used the truck mount like what you have in the carpet cleaner van as well as a vacuum hose no lint was left behind also and they used a rubber cap to seal the holes really great service next I’ll have my air ducts cleaned also a service they offer that’s wonderful pricy but I’m sure the air purity will be worth the cost ✌🏽
Good service.
Nice you expand your business. Congrats and best wishes.
Your father is amazing. He needs to know that and that he's raising bright young men like yourself and your brothers. He should teach a class on all the things that would help people improve their life and knowledge from working hard to ... well everything I've seen :D Keep up the good work and family enjoyment.
