‘Night Market Neighbours’ is a series from the CBC Creator Network that features a variety of food vendors from the Richmond Night Market.
Linh Tran, Jenny Nguyen, and John Nguyen opened Banh Mi 429 to reinvent a Vietnamese classic. The three friends met at Douglas College shortly after they immigrated to Canada from Vietnam. After working for several years in various roles, they launched a new venture out of a desire to bring authentic Vietnamese flavours to the Lower Mainland. Crispy baguette, bold Korean spices and tangy pickles work in harmony to create one of the world’s most amazing sandwiches.
