Him at the beginning of the video, "No bad copy" of the record. Also him, spends half of the video saying most of the copies are crappy.
So he's not a Lit. professor, use your imagination...he means none of them are bad, but some are much better than others. The effort gone into listening to dozens of issues of this thing is maddening.
@@BattManion1979 theres levels bro good to us is crappy to him
@@sickassfoo5410 My point was, he means 'no bad copy' Gimme a recomendation, all I have is 2nd press US and UK.
Ric - I was thinking the exact same thing. There are no bad copies - but these first dozen pressings are all crappy and on noisy vinyl. LOL. I guess maybe you can hear all of that when it’s being played on a $50,000+ system. I don’t begrudge him and I’m not jealous. Also, I’m guessing my ears aren’t that good either. So, give me one of the crappy copies that I can afford! My
@@BattManion1979 sorry I meant to reply to the guy you replied to I dont have darkside i have a beat up 1st press echoes and a grundman remaster of wish you where here and saucerful of secrets
There is a missing 35lb plate in our gym, I think that’s it on top of your turntable!!! ;-) Hahaha
I’m already falling behind in homework but here I am at 2:56am watching this
Luis the beast 3:04 a.m. here
we all were there are almost 1,000 versions of the record on Discogs
Love this series. I've watched them all and have purchased based on your advice. Would love to see more!
Great video, incredibly informative. Please do these pressing comparisons, and don’t stop doing them. I’m falling more and more in love with vinyl by the day, but I was born way after it went out of style and getting solid information on the smaller issues of it, such as the difference between various pressings of LP’s, is rather hard to find. Thank god you made these videos, and thank god the two I’ve seen were focused on my favorite albums. To reiterate, thank you for your effort and never ever stop making these.
I concur!!
please do a run down of Wish u were here . great job on the Dark side review. very helpful
I'd like to see the wish you were here comparison also!
ME TOOO
Love your comparison videos.. what a treat and value you are sharing.
If the A-2/B-2 lacquers were used for the first British pressings, I wonder what was the reason the A-1/B-1 lacquers were not used or were rejected for release.
Sometimes they cut a lacquer and it doesn’t come out good so they just throw it out and start again.
Love your reviews. Very helpful!
I was so happy to hear that my 30th was in your top 3. It has never dissapointed me.
Have been waiting for this. Thanks!
I own a Record Store myself, and I very much appreciate your Professionalism and extensive knowledge of records from a Collector's Point of View. This is a VERY INFORMATIVE VIDEO.
Thanks Mike! This video was very helpful! A 30th Anniversary mint copy will be arriving at my home in about a week! This will be my first copy of Dark Side. I've always loved the album, I just never had a copy. I replaced my stylus with a Soundsmith Ruby OCL. I'm looking forward to hearing the album on my system!
Thank you again for the in depth review. This is the kind of information more broadcasters should be putting out, so that we the buyer can make informed decisions! I just purchased an A3 B3 pressing for $82, VG cond.
Hello Mike
I've got the A3/B3 UK pressing.
Thanks for the video
Thank you for this (and other) great comparison videos! I would love to see a similar comparison of "Wish You Were Here".
Very informative and interesting, thanks very much 👍
Thanks. Very informative & helpful.
This is a superb review of one of the greatest albums of all time. I very much appreciate your review. I remember buying the 30th Anniversary version for around $27 when it first came out. It is indeed a really good pressing. Now I need to figure out if I'm going to get the UK A2/B2 or the A3/B3 version. Thank you very much for this excellent review, Mike! 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks for the advice I had no idea there were so many different pressings, I don't think we would have that many here in the UK.
Thank you so much! You know your shit! Covered all the bases and really helped me condense my list. What would you say about represses using the A3/B3 stampers? Ever heard these or similar pressings where the original metal was used? They would of course be not as nice and a little worn inherently but perhaps a better option? I own similar “French for UK” pressings of Abbey Road and the white album that use the original stampers and I think they sound pretty damn good. I can see maybe where perhaps the original run could be more full sounding but considering they use the original metal parts and they are much less I think opting for one of those and the Kevin Gray would have me all set for a while as I already have the “BG” as well.
Thrilled that you’re back to doing these shoot outs. Have been telling my friends to check them out.
Can you do “Maggot Brain?”
1st pressing all day!
Maggot Brain - definitely the first pressing. I thankfully have a clean one and it’s far better than any other press. Though that album truly deserves a high quality audiophile treatment!! If I could choose ONE album to get a Bernie Grundman or Steve Hoffman/Kevin Gray work over, that’s it.
i have a "westbound records" reissue which is ok
original is supposedly where its at though , the 4 men with beards gets bad press so id avoid it if you can
I have an original Canadian maggot brain, which is fantastic. No idea whether it is better than the US but fewer were likely pressed so maybe it’s better
An original pressing is by far the best copy, cut VERY LOUD AND HOT! A world of a difference from the late 80s reissue I have…that one isn’t bad, but I am quite sure it’s digitally sourced. There’s noticeable noise reduction in the beginning of the title trackx
I’m new to vinyl collecting and listening and you just blew my mind with all this. I’m only into it because I love to hear my favorite music on its original format but duuuudddde, apparently there’s so much more to it than just going to a record store and buying some beat up records to listen to 😅
Hey some of the beat up records I got from stores are my favorite.
But don't get me wrong I'm also on the hunt for some if these rare gems.
YEP. But that's what's great about this hobby. You have your elitist snobs, but most people are cool and love to talk music and vinyl. We educate eachother. Online vids can be great, so can a cool used records store. I judge a record store by the owners and employees friendliness and knowledge. If they are snobs that obviously are just in it for the money I shop elsewhere.
@@CalWaverly My last collection of close to 800 were primarily not minty premo records. Lots of used record stores, vinyl shows and Goodwill finds. Of course I had my standards, no scratches, no musty smells or tore up jackets, but I'm okay with some pop and hiss. It's nostalgic for me. Don't get me wrong I had some gems mixed in, but I'm working with a tight budget.
That being said. I had more records than I ever played. Some got a few spins, many got none in the 8 years I aquired that collection.
Now that I'm starting over from nothing I'm choosing quality over quantity. Sure lots of records look impressive, but what good are they if they don't get played? A waste of money, time and effort. Big lesson learned (the hard way).
Now I'm going to focus on albums I LOVE. I don't need all the commons, or filler albums. I don't need the entire Jethro Tull catalog just because they were cheap, for example. Same with many other bands. In some cases a greatest hits or best of album will suffice. The newest Motley Crue hits album from Walmart is a great example. It actually has all their hits. And and far as Tull is concerned Past Masters will do the trick.
I realize many hits packages lack some of these actual hits and are garbage, but in some cases they will work for the casual fan. Just do your homework.
So, for now on I'm only buying what I know I'll play, and go for the best copy I can afford. In most cases $30 or less.
I'd rather have 50 records I love in M to VG+ condition that will get played than a "collection" of used so so records that primarily just take up space and in the end is a waste because they don't get played. We can lose perspective and get caught up in the "collection" over our love of music. I hope my mistake can help others. I mean if you have money falling out of your ass go buy everything you see, but my guess is most won't get played.
As I am now in my mid 50s I'm accepting that time is short and I'll never regularly play hundreds of albums. Nor do I have time. I can always listen online to certain songs/albums and I'm okay with that. In other cases I'll want vinyl because I LOVE that album, and I have time in my busy life to spin a few. Hope that makes sense. Has anyone else come to that conclusion?
Peace.
I bought a British A3 - B3 in VG+ to NM condition for 50 bucks four years ago (side B is NM, side A is VG+). I thought it sounded heavenly but given your attention to detail, I believe in your second-place assessment and am extra happy. Just couldn't afford the first pressing (thankfully, Wish You Were Here was about the same price for an NM UK first press). Thanking you for your meticulous care and subscribing to your channel.
I got the A5 B5 pressing, 1974 issue i think, sounds really nice, but the 2016 release is my go to version, great depth and no high end distortion when the clocks sound at the beginning of time.
50 years and it still sounds so fresh.
Great lecture, btw.
Woohoo!, I have the 30th anniversary edition but actually still haven’t played it so am going to spin this tonight
Wow that is in-depth , you have some amount of copy's . I have one from the mid 70s here in the UK , it's a bit crackly now but I think it adds to the warmth :) interesting article thanks for posting
I love these videos. I wonder if you could tell the difference on my non-audiophile system that includes a pioneer pl-512 turntable I purchased when I was 14, which I still use.
30th anniversary is now same price or more than the Japanese pro-use pressing.
Great video! Which label do you recommend the 30th anniversary edition in? I’ve seen it on the Harvest label and a few others. Thanks
Mike, I wanted to thank for this video. I finally got my hands on an A3/B3 and got to hear Dark Side of the Moon really for the first time. It simply blew away the 30th, UHQR, Pro Use, MFSL, just like you said!! You are a wonderful resource. Many Thank Yous.
I hope he reads these replies...
Since I live in Australia and alot of my records are Aus presses (minus some of them), I'm wondering what is your opinion on Australian pressings?
I just subscribed to your channel, and have enjoyed hearing your input here on these albums. What would really help many of us out, would be for you to list in your notes the details of your best pick and how to ID it, so we have the reference. I watch these videos all the way through. But as I said, it would be so much better if you listed your choice in the notes like you do on your website for some titles. Great website too. Thanks.
I'm gonna start taking notes as I watch hiss vids. I learn a lot from them. He knows his shit, and isn't as vinyl snob.
That’s Amazing the amount of copies very impressive Thank You!
Wow, I actually have that 30th anniversary still sealed. Tag says it was 14.99.. I can't remember if that's the price I paid because I bought it years ago. I was certain you would say it's garbage, but it looks I bought something good..LOL
it depens on whether you grew up in analogue or digatal era..muddy or bright..
I’m totally impressed
Never seen anyone break down so many Pressings
I actually have to play this album sometime
I think I have to be in the mood
But I want a good pressing
So much to talk about this
Smoke up. You'll be in the mood....lol
Great detail - thanks 👍
I feel very lucky owning two clean copies of the first UK pressing, both A2 B2 one is a factory sample also. And I paid around 450 pounds in total for both. Yes I’m from the UK, here you can find first UK pressings for a lot less obviously. And the best advice I can give is: buy a good record cleaning machine: 8 times out of 10 your records will go up half a point in condition (say a clean VG+ could get to EX or M-) after properly washing them!
Thanks for the video. I have a few copies - but they include the A3 B3 and 30th Anniversary
Looking good Mikey! Youve come a long way from the Beanie-Baby store on 52 in Hudson bro! still miss working on your old cars and tapping Plains to trounce noobs with white weenie - LOL Good times!!
Deck parfait for the win!
I was wondering if you were able to do a comparison of the different pressings of King Crimson "In The Court of The Crimson King?" I have two different versions myself, a 1978 Atlantic pressing and a 1980 UK Polydor double back that has both this album and Larks Tounge In Aspic.
Excellent video - made even better by finding out that the copy I own is the 30th anniversary version.
This may be the most in-depth video on any subject on CZcams.
Spot on for this review. The 30th is my goto but I do like the MOFI's as I have both as well. But my BEST version is a European production safety master tape I scored this year. It just kills any vinyl out there. Don't play it too often for obvious reasons so a quick DSD 128 copy back to tape still sounds amazing.
You lucky bugger
Excellent and DEEP review, wow! So surprised by your dislike of the EMI 97 RE, my NM sounds really pretty...I will have to try another pressing!
In 2002 or 2003 for the 30th anniv Gilmour states on the record that the 1973 mix used for A1/B1 ( scrapped) and A2/B2 is 3rd generation tape. Most of the drums, bass and rhythm guitars were bounced into a 2 track mix. He states they have goneback to the very original tapes and sychronised altogether is orignal takes and better sound quality and mixed to SACD quadrophonic format. So can you really detect the degredation of the tape after 30 years? I had a A2 B2 2 LP single sided Test Pressing which is dated 14/02/73 The only thing I recall which hurt my ear was the guitar solo during Time broke up at the high frequency, but that was cool. The Money defect was absent. In the 1980s Pink Floyd asked Harry T. Moss to mix the catalogue so you see HTM in the matrix
I'm so excited to have landed an A3/B3 for a reasonable amount on ebay! I've blown my savings by doing so, but it is one of my grails after watching this video last June, and I imagine the opportunity doesnt come round very often! :) Thank you for the informative advice here! :D Very excited to get it
Curious what you paid...
I just found a copy of the A3/B3 on Ebay and considering making the purchase. . Question, does this pressing really sound great? Thanks in advance.
Subscriber here. Awesome vid, as always. (After your LZII vid I’ve ordered a 2x RL and a Classics Records reissue. Thanks.) I would LOVE your opinion on Physical Graffiti for someone who CAN’T afford another Classics Record release. Keep up the good work. Navigating this hobby ain’t for beginners!
I bought a new copy in New Zealand in 1985 and it has the Harvest label. It's SHVL804 but surprisingly it mentions quad in the dead wax. I don't have a quad setup so i can't tell. I don't know what stamper version it is.
Just a note on the Quad SQ version of this record. I have I think a European pressing not sure which one. While I agree with Mike about the sonic quality, it's worth listening to one of these pressing because the music is different. An SQ Quad record can be played by a stereo cartridge, but of course you won't hear all 4 channels and it might not sound correct in stereo. Typically mixing engineers make EQ and loudness and other sonic decisions when they remix a record. But the SQ version has some musical takes that are different. The first and most obvious example is the end of the first Sax solo on Us and Them. If you listen to the SQ record, you'll hear an extra measure of music played by the Sax at the very end of the solo. In fact, there are several Sax playing differences which makes me wonder if they remixed it from the individual instrument parts and just used a reel of Sax playing that was different than the original. You'll also hear sounds going between the speakers that are different from the original. I'm sure that was done to enhance the quad surround experience. So try to listen to an SQ version not for audiophile reasons but for the novelty of hearing a record that we all know so well that will sound a bit different.
Just checked which version I had after watching your video in bed last night. Got the 30th anniversary one. I’m well pleased. Have actually been looking for an MFSL copy. I won’t bother now
Another great video!
If I upgraded from the C52 to the MP 1100, would there be an improvement is sound from my vinyl?
I have the 2016 pressing. I find it very good.
I’ve got 30th anniversary and i love that release. Sound is amazing, clear, powerful. I guess is the best pressing i’ve heard. I enjoy SACD sound a lot too. Great video. Thanks so much
SACD is the 30th anniversary edition, 2003.

30th anniversary are LP and SACD, great sound both. I’m waiting for 50th ann. release on 2023...
Mine SACD is not Capitol, just EMI
Camilo Antoria same, 1st record I bought getting into vinyl from CDs, and I had no idea what I was buying. I hated it at first because I had a cheap turntable with below average cartridge, but the recorded itself had a lot of surface noise. After finding out what the record actually was, and a system upgrade, plus getting the record professionally cleaned, It has become my second favourite pressing of this album.

This is GLORIOUS thank you.
From my First XI boxset I have an A-10 with second labels. Have you heard this one Mike and is it the same sound quality as the A-11? It also has "HARRY" written in the dead wax ,
Thanks, normally follow your suggestions. Haven't steered me wrong yet.
I stumbled across Pinkfloyd and the original press lp when I was a kid in 92. I was babysitting my cuz and my aunt had the album with a sweet stereo. I started to listen to it for the first time ever and I remembered I got scared and turned it off. I finally got the courage to listen to it and it blew my mind with the bass. Went from New kids on the block to this. Thank goodness for rock and roll.
I've got the solid blue UK pressing and the 30th anniversary pressing and both sound great..I try not to play them too much as they are worth a few bob🎵🎵👍👍
no offense but if you don't play them... What's the use of having them?
I’d like to know what you think of the remastered versions
Hi, I bought Dark Side when i was 12 tears old in 1975 or 76 in Dublin, Ireland. I read the inscription on the vinyl. It says SHVL 804 A-9. Does anyone know what that means?
Awesome video, I just ordered a 30th copy from a seller that just played it once after opening it this year, I can't wait to listen to it since I bought another copy years ago in regular condition, and I also have the first US version and recently an UK 5th edition, so according to you the 30th edition beats all UK versions from the 70s after A3/B3? Is that true? I hope so!! 😬
Very interesting to hear all the comments on the LP. Loved it. Always wondered if you had played them on a British system though, say a typical English made system with their signature cables and European sound, what would you have found? So many different nuances. Things out front, things behind.. Cables hiding or promoting said nuances also..
Same question for the Sgt. Pepper's film you made way back and or any others.
The long awaited comparison of Dark Side. I pretty much expected the outcome of the best but was surprised at how you didnt like the US copies. Dont have one myself but people seem to like the Wally cuts a lot.
I like my A3/B3 and MFSL the best but Im still on the hunt to get a cleaner and possibly earlier UK and the 30th by Kevin. Gotta have em all.
The Wally cut is over hyped. Strange EQ choices on noisy vinyl. But again because this album was recorded so good it only shows it’s weakness compared to the better pressings.
I've watched this video about 10 times and am still not sure what to go with! All the versions have gotten crazy expensive! Love these videos and hope you make some more someday!
Brandon. Don't panic. Just buy what you can afford. When people say, " this is a bad copy " it will probably be just fine. I have a solid triangle first press and yes it sounds great, but the 2018 remaster sounds good too and is a fraction of the price. I also have a sealed 30th Anniversary copy. All of these copies I bought for peanuts. It's only recently prices have shot up. What you want to avoid is a copy that has been played to death and used to roll a fat one on as that will be full of what you don't want, scratches, dirt and little specs of ground in hash! My advice, wait to see what is released in March 2023 50th anniversary. We have no idea what is planned, if anything, but may be worth the wait!
Very interesting segment. I’m new to your channel. Do you have a video on your setup?
I was able to score a strong VG++ A2 B2 with the second label on eBay recently for under 150 with shipping from the UK to US. The man speaks the truth the A2 B2 is where it’s at. I have a 30th anniversary that I bought new and the A2 B2 is definitely a sonic upgrade
I was so happy to learn what versions to sell out as I'm restarting my collection and of course this is on my want list.
the DDR pressing sounds surprisingly great, too.
I have the current 2016 release and it sounds awesome with my set up. Today is April 4, 2023.
thanks .. i think i dont have to buy more .. i got the got the german 1st press .. the 30 any press ( is your from Netherlands too ? or is there a usa and a EU version ?? ) and the 2016 BG
I've just pulled the trigger on a 30th anniversary copy, mint, still sealed off Discogs for £50 on the strength of this review... You wasn't joking... it's a great sounding record.... Wish You Were Here next please as that's next on my radar.
Andy Betts Wow, $50 bucks only? That’s a Sweet deal! I have seen it go for $150 to $200 bucks new on EBay.
I just ordered the 30th anniversary. $75 NM complete.
The Japanese Pro Use compared to the 30th...anyone have both? What are the differences. I have the pro use. Thought about getting the 30th
I've had the 30th Anniversary copy for 15 years unopened and it will stay that way, all this time I thought the Pro Use was the better pressing, now I need to buy another copy of the 30th anniversary
@@joecapodicasa5485 what s the point of keeping it sealed?...sell it in the future? Please my friend..open it and enjoy it ;)
According to the phenomenal stereo equipment you show on the background, I believe you! May I ask you, honestly, what do you think of the SACD version?
Thanks for sharing!
i was wondering the same thing, with all due respect it is too dumb of a question to respond to?
The Sacd is a remaster and remix so sounds quite different. However vs the 1994 cd and 2011 cd, as long as the sacd layer is played in a dedicated sacd player it sounds very very good indeed for digital. The cd layer sounds off however so i would only buy the sacd to play the sacd layer and if possible in multichannel as thats why it was remixed to suit. This is from an owner of all 3 editions 😊
Hi, Mark from Ireland. I bought the SACD to play on my SACD player in 5.1 & its the best I have heard it. Have CD & Vinlyl I bought in 1975. I can't say how good the vinyl is as my gear in the 70s was cheap gear as I was only 11 or 12 yrs old when I bought it
Interested to know if you've heard / have a copy of the Australian Quad release which has A2, B1. I've just received a copy of A2 B2 original UK press & the sound quality on that while definitely spectacular, despite some pretty noisy sections, was actually pretty close to this Australian Quad.. which looks like it's around the $20 mark on cogs... I'm not listening through a wall of McIntoch amps, & just starting to develop my ear for quality after watching your vids... SO maybe I'm missing what makes a record crappy.. but yeah.. hook up an Australian Quad & see how it stacks up.. :) Thanks for the cool video..
So, my copy has SHVL 804 A-11 on A side and SHVL 804 B-11C - 1- 3- , the A side also has a 5 in the deadwax, and D on the B side. I also have the posters and stickers, and the vinyl is in great condition. My question is, how do I know which release it ?
WOW! And I thought my Swedish pressing on a crisp white vinyl disc was pretty sweet until I watched this review video!! It has not been played more than a couple of dozen times since I bought it in the early 1990s, and I have been extremely careful not to damage the record, so the playback quality is still superb! I own 4 different DSOTM records as well as some CD variations, but the white LP is my favorite. I'd like to believe my ears are still as functional as ever, but I've been enjoying high volume rock music since the Beatles first hit the radio waves, so L'm sure I must have lost a small percentage of my hearing along the way.
Bought my copy of this around 1988. Need to re-listen to it and check the matrix numbers. No doubt, I've got one of the interior pressings, but it's still a great record and it was a game changer to an 18 year old me.
Hey mike.....Mike.. is the "Canadian a2 b2 "the same as the uk a2 b2...the stamper says a2 b2. So I figured you'd know. Thanks
When it comes to Dark Side, SHLV 804AH, the Toshiba EMI is the best followed by MFSL UHQR is second. Of course, opinions vary. Vinyl does also. These two I mentioned are both rare and pricey. Good luck finding them. Enjoy them if you do have them. For nothing brings joy like listening to what you love unless it’s making it. Stay safe my mates!😊👍🏻😷
@15:00 -- What is the label brand for the A2 / B2 pressings?
Is it EMI?
Great Video....Totally agree with you on the A2 B2 version....it trunces the mobile fidelity sound lab and the japanese pressing i have ...Got to hand it to you Bruv...You Know Your Stuff.
Waiting for the delivery of a sealed copy of the 30th anniversary edition ☺️
would love to see an Animals review
Glad you said the 30th Anniversary. I have that and have always loved the sound of it.
I have bought at least 10 copies since day 1. The two best are the UHQR which I bought new for $40 and first pressing of the CD imported from Japan, but it has no OBI and was boxed in a domestic box.
I have the A3/B3 and it's fantastic!
Quadrophonic UK pressing mixed by Alan Parsons. sound absolutely fantastic in stereo, too. much better mix than on the "original"
I have heard that the quad version is excellent
@@vinylrichie007 the quad mix is the absolute best mix of that album.
@@lucalone Someone want to permanently lend me a quad system and copy lol
Are the 1992 Doug Sax mixes the same as the 1994 releases? I got into Floyd with the 1994 releases on cassette and CD. Which year is better or is there a difference?
my 1979 MOFI is the best version I have ever heard of this, with detail never heard before. I hear things I never knew were there. The bottom end seems perfect, but maybe I have been kicking the bass up a couple notches.
Yeah I have that version and have never noticed a lack of bass on it.
Yea I think what he meant to say was that the Mofi Has a lack of Midrange because it was Mastered with a Smiley face EQ. The High and Low ends are definitely boosted.
I have both the EMI Pro Use and the 30th Anniversary, and your video is going to make me go back and compare the two again. For the longest time I have preferred the Pro Use copy, but who knows, maybe I need to listen with better attention to that bottom end definition. I will say the synths on the Pro Use pressing sound far more present and textured to me than most copies I''ve heard.
poetryonplastic the pro use is very much the hyped up copy out there imo....
To me the Pro Use has loudness problems on the guitars and while it separates the bass quite well its not as solid and tight as other pressings. I would like it a lot more if it didnt hurt my ears when listening to the solos.
I used to own a solid blue UK A2/B2...it didn’t have the skip in Money...it looked clean but unfortunately my copy was noisy as hell and had groove wear. It was such a letdown. I thought it was worse than my US Wly ... I didn’t pay a ton for it thankfully but boy, was I disappointed. I ended up selling it for more than I paid to someone who was happy just to have a “solid blue” I guess. Now my go-to copy is the 2016 reissue. You kind of glossed over it and while I haven’t heard the others you talk about (I remember passing up the 30th Anniversary when it came out because I was an idiot and only collected originals), but I do think the 2016 is a pretty gorgeous pressing! I know it’s a digital file, but I can’t find too much to fault. It’s a truly beautiful listen and will do just fine until the day I stumble across a bargain on one of the 30th or UK’s.
Excellent vid
What's the consensus on the 2016 reissue? I didn't see it mentioned here.
How can I know which pressed record I have? Got a 2016 one.... I guess is American, but hoyw can I be sure?... Thnx! More videos like this, please!!!
hello, a question...if i find japanese pro use and 30th anniversy for the same price, what i should to buy ?
Hi if I could ask you a question I bought a copy dsotm and was told it's a 1st issue US the numbers in run off groove say smas - 1- 11163- f38 #1 on side one and f-26 #1 on side two...what do you think 1st or 2nd issue? Thanks a bunch!
Nice! Great info! I seem to have an early American Capitol pressing with "Wly" in the dead wax.
I have heard they they have cut the A2/B2 UK pressing directly from the original stereo master tape in 1973. and the triangle is solid blue.
I would love to see how those quad versions would sound in an actual quad set up. Also I'm going to be in Mesa on Black Friday do you think you'll have those quad copies for sale mike?
I had the quad version. it was a piece of garbage don't waste your money!!!!✌
