I was really hoping to see you fold it back up. I just bought one of these, its sitting waiting to be installed. I have a CVT hybrid, Its a great tent and setting up is pretty easy, but the close up is pretty tedious which is why I went this route. The CVT was on a trailer before the gladiator, so it wasn't too bad there, but for being able to explore during camp on the gladiator made it tough to be able to move around. I think this set up looks really easy.

Did yours come with the inside support bar mount or did it have a strap originally? Ours only has a strap on one side then the pole connection on the other

Hi, Thanks for the review. I set my tent up today in the wind and could not figure out if the noisy rain fly can be removed? If not, have you tried rolling it up and tucking it back somehow and if so can you tell me how you did that. :)
I always have mine “up” using the provided rain fly rods. I’ve not tried leaving it down.

It is not. You will want to get a pad or self inflating air pad.
So where’s the part where you mount the tent on your rack? Did the tent comes with mounting kit or what did you use?
There are rails attached under the tent that you use to attach to a roof rack or in this case a bed rack. It comes with the mounting hardware.
What size tires you got on there?

Does it flap in the wind?
No sir.

After a year, do you still recommend it?
I actually sold the whole truck/rack/tent about six months after installing. I’ll be honest in saying I prefer the nature nest hard shell tent on Amazon. We just got back from a 3800 mile, ten day trip and it was amazing. You can find my Instagram pics @the_northman_adventures !!

I sold because I have the attention span of a gnat :). I’ve already bought another Gladiator and will be building it as well ;)

I dont see any mosquito net. They make camping gear for the moon?😮😂
