  • All sounds come from Rm1x , and its connected to PC thru budget Behringer mix which has been used for hall effect sometimes . But from Mix to PC its connected with 3,5mm low quality jack cable and PC has commond integrated soundcard . So quality went down for about a half + This is mp3 version(audacitiy used for recording) which is about more 30% worst :D
    Thats why it sound so old school, dont expect dope sound with High level equipment...

    Great use of the RMX. These things are a self-contained studio in a box. True pro use acid

      Yamaha Rm1x is the best , but hard to learn machine to get you into music production. Its basically Fl studio in the box, but with limited polyphony.

    Great stuff man. Not even a genre im into, but im digging this. just got the Es2 sampler, and... wlel im going to use the rm1x to do a lot of the sequencing, lets just put it that way :P This also inspires me to see how they pair together, and expect it will be amazing with their abilities combined. itll be hard to actually use more gear than just these 2 devices together.

      its quite hard to get two stadalone groove boxes working together... best way is to use only one master like rm1x and send midi just into keyboards synths etc.

      no external effects were used only rm1xs ones
      Also i dont use overdrive or distortion effect ,only tube amp which sounds way more better then other two.
      And for acid basslines - moog,oberheim and other samples are more usefull than tb303 samples which sounds a bit bad .

    Been thinking of digging out my rm1x and came across this vid. The sounds you got out of yours are truly inspirational! Can you teach me?

    • @MrVacicak
      @MrVacicak  Před 9 lety +1

      sonicflow long,big room reverb is made by mix the rest are rm1xs reverb or reverse gate dont remember exactly which one and chorus and delay. These were used if i still remember right. Acid style synth is the one right after TB-303 samples (oberheym or moog i think) is loop of one Patch made of one section which had two or four parts so it was very simple setup . Its kinda Lo-Fi . rm1x cinch>mix jack>pc>audacity. Nothing special only "cheap" setup ,thats why it sounds like oldschool sets

    Can you advice me on how to adjust the swing in the input??

    Would you be interested in sharing the rm1x files for this, or parts of it? I am fascinated by how you managed to get the rm1x to sound this good. My rm1x tracks sound really really terrible, and I love what you have going on here. Even some tips on how you get it sounding evil and overdriven, cos my rm1x sounds happy and cheesy no matter what I do.

    • @nobodyneverknows
      @nobodyneverknows Před 8 lety +1

      +dachhh The hq doesnt sound that dope so the trick here is the lo fi recording techinque as he wrote . Maybe during recording a " good " distortion effect was created. ( Look- sherman filter ) This unit can sound good, try putting the whole mix thru low pass filter to cover this thin sound, try to run things few octaves down also. When you want to play a better sounding leads , tune them down and max out the pitch.
      And use a lot of low pass from rm1x it makes some amazing muddy shit with high lfo settings.
      But the real trick here is the recording thingy, coz U cant make it sound like that naturally.

      I always used to downscale the bass in rm1x , somewhere in settings option(dont remember) otherwise the sound will be really full of bass and bad
