She was a remarkable, likable person whose main goal in life was to help those less fortunate than her. That is why her loss is being felt by so many.
RIP Madam First Lady. You served the country with grace and dignity.
She seems like one of the most down-to-earth people you will ever meet. So humbled and had a heart for humanity. May she rest in peace.
What a pleasure to see and hear pleasant, polite people in the White House giving an elegant dinner and evening of entertainment. Mr. and Mrs. Carter were such gracious, kind people. A great example to all Americans.
She was born to be a First Lady. I will forever admire her.💐💕
Love and respect a great First Lady of America
Quite ODD.
Don't believe Rosalyn ever had a PROBLEM with the White House China, like Future FIRST LADIES....❤
One of the loveliest and most gracious First Ladies. May she Rest In Peace.,
Comparable to
LADY BIRD JOHNSON 😅
Mrs. Carter was an outstanding woman, so sweet and kind and I love to hear her talk. They’ll never be another as humble as she was May she rest in peace
RIP Rosalynn Carter
The late Rosalynn Carter will no doubt be kindly judged by history for the searing humanity, empathy, humility, intellect, and kindness that she let guide the long, exemplary life of steadfast public service she led with her husband. Though regrettably not one of the most widely known or celebrated First Ladies, I hope the new media attention briefly foisted on her character to commemorate this sad passing will enlighten more Americans, both young and old, about a truly remarkable person who was much, much more than just the wife of a U.S. president.
I can certainly see why he loved her so much she’s so humble and sweet God rest her soul
Her strength and tenacity is commendable.
What a wonderful, insightful, smart, intelligent woman. RIP. I wish I’d known more about her sooner.
Class act, classy lady. RIP Mrs. Carter and God bless.❤🙏😪✝️
R.I.P such an amazing family..
I always loved her accent ❤
One of the most beautiful First Lady Presidents 🌹🌹
I'm struck by the intensity of her intelligence. That was the part I had forgotten.
I get that as well, but not surprising, considering her husband, seems they were a great match.
The memorial service was so beautiful. It hasn't felt like one America in a long time; it did today watching the service.
She was a very gracious first lady and quite a fantastic person. May God welcome her into the gates of heaven and give her eternal and peaceful rest. ❤🙏🏽
She was vulnerable and kind. She certainly gave all of us a better human to admire and emulate.
Her sweet shyness reminds me of Princess Diana. May they both rest in eternal peace. 🌹
Condolences & Prayers to the Carter family.
Such a sweet southern lady.
"I DON'T CARE, DO YOU?"
-Learn to be humble and kind like Mrs. Rosalynn Cater!
- Frontpages of Vogue, Channel #5, or Elle, etc. is just kind of service for men and women with small brains, hearts and shallow souls.
-You can do better than just slogan-"Be Best!"
Nice lady. Classy lady. Warm hearted and smart. RIP.
I loved her. Voice
and the way she spoke…..so Southern
a remarkable lady...so graceful.
Rest in Peace Rosalynn Carter 😊
What a natural beauty Mrs Carter was. Add to that her simplicity, no airs and graces, genuine goodness and naturalness, I would take her a hundred times over artificial and calculated types like Melania and Jackie Kennedy.
Such graciousness & intelligence.
Rosalynn very beautiful and humbled...❤️🇺🇸🙏✝️
Yes she was a beautiful, intelligent, compassionate, and classy woman. We love and miss her. May God grant her eternal rest.
Wonderful human.
Great answer about her brother in law!! A very decent and kind lady…RIP
Always the lady.....
A strong lady under the gentle facade. Demure. Sweet. The rock of Gibraltar. Respectful of other's privacy. And her own family. A grace, a dignity we have not seen in years until Ms Biden.
Omg, Are you comparing this great lady to a sleepy man mannequin lizard???? incredible!!!
@@lourdesvalencia5061
Omg, She’s referring to the Jill Biden…
Familiar with her ? 😉
@@lourdesvalencia5061 Why the hell would a Mexicana say something so out of place and false?
You must be listening to too much right wing media propaganda. No Bueno!
I just love how down to earth and sweet she is, warm and genuine. R.I.P. dear lady.
Can anyone tell me what song the strings are playing at the White House Dinner? It’s beautiful and I’d like to learn it.
What a wonderful lady!!!
Classy!
RIP Rosalynn C. 🙏
Such a lady!
My was she beautiful⚘️ RIP
Kind lady!
She really is amazing. I am too young to remember her at the time.
Such a beautiful, gracious First Lady.
Patronising sickening approach by Safer. Mrs Carter was a diamond and deserved more respect.
She acquitted herself with perfection. I think she was smarter than he was.

@@l.w.paradis2108 Oh, totally agree that she aced it (with sheer honesty and grace). But I felt he was condescending and patronising from the get-go. Why? Mrs Carter never showed anything - in office or later - but dignity and a life of service. It really irritates me that genuine "goodness" is somehow devalued.
@@kym-bid-bidstrup3623 AMEN to that. 🙏
Please,
Go back to watching ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT & not 60 MINUTES....LOL
How beautiful that state dinner was
The White House Staff loved the Carter Family.
RIP Mrs Carter. She seemed like such a humble, kind, gentle person.
PS- blows my mind how horrifyingly sexist this interviewer is. Wow. We’ve come a long way folks.
PPS - Where has this sweet Georgia accent gone? I feel like it was common back in the 70-80s, never hear it anymore ?
I've lived in Atlanta for a quarter century. Most of the South is pretty homogenized these days so accents like the Carters' are going away, but you still find them in the rural South. I agree, Mrs. Carter's accent is particularly lovely.
PS I agree we have come a long way. Those questions are ridiculous! Who cares about divorces, social secretaries and Billy Carter?
I love the way she laughed
God bless Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter, Carter Foundation sunk a hand pumping water in my rural community. We join the lives they touched in remembering her passing on to glory. I commiserate with her husband and children, the united state of America. Ndonu!
Sweet lady.
My favorite First Lady. Rosalyn Carter… First Lady from Plains.
Impressive how condescending the journalists are.
She’s so sweet.
Well that's when FAKE NEWS started with 60 MINUTES in the 60s....LOL
Thank God we have FOX NEWS in 2023..LOL
She was so beautiful
She was so beautiful isn't ?
Damm , she is beautiful and pretty
God loves you and takes care of you so that this message reaches you. God is the one who created this great universe and has complete control over it. And the greatest loss that a person loses in this life is that he lives while he does not know God who created him, knowing the Messenger of Muhammad, the last of the messengers, and the Islamic religion, the last of the heavenly religions. The great intelligence, before you believe in something or not, is to read it, study it, and understand it well, and then you have the choice to believe in it or not. I advise you on this now before you do not have time to do that.
🙏🏿 Beautiful First Lady in and out a sweet spirit Beloved First Lady Rosalyn Carter SIP
What a wonderful lady. I loved the way in which she ended the interview.... not sure if she wasn`t only half joking either!
She was dead serious.
R.I.P. America's Southern First Lady Rosalynn Carter

Behind every great man is a great woman
One of the best first lady the White House ever had.
What a classy First Lady. Melania Trump was hardly worthy of the legacy of that position.
Yes, Rosalyn Carter was a charming, lovely and wholesome First Lady. May she rest in Peace. (Not an appropriate time to be dismissive of others.)
@@aislinnkeilah7361 why does it matter?
She was sooo pretty back in the day
I met Billy in Georgia. He is a great guy.
I think you meant that he was a great guy. He died over 30 years ago.
What a wonderful first lady
3:53 - 4:50 - It's about Chip and Caron, I suppose :(
In fact, it's sad a bit that Jeffrey is the only one of their children whose marriage survived :(
Chip and Caron were the first of marriages to dissolve in the Carter family, with the pair separating about two months after this interview.
The comparison is striking between Rosalyn Carter and the cold-blooded, social-climbing, waxwork on casters that was Nancy Reagan.
So, so true
Nancy Robbins Reagan felt because of her family background that she had to do a lot to make up the difference between herself and more distinguished spouses of leaders.
Those violins or whatever sound really good. They sound like old tv show and movie music violins.
@ 2:26, I find, these are interesting questions. I remember voting day, I believe it was in 1975, we were on our way to go vote for the next President of the United States of America. My boyfriend, at the time, Doug Pritchard, were seated in the back seat of his parent's vehicle. We were too young to vote at the time. Though, Doug's Mother, broke out a bottle of champagne, popped the "cork", filled four plastic champagne glasses of champagne for the four of us. And THEN, she broke out the peanuts. Her husband was driving at the time, though, credit due here, he was the inventor of cruise control working for the U.S. Government.
If that’s the case, then he clearly plays favorites, because there are many people that are on the receiving end of injustice, disease, and brutality beyond comprehension.
Get real .
WHY WHAT A LOOSER…!!! SO NEGATIVE TOWARD MRS CARTER… SHE WAS SUCH A LADY SUCH A SOUTHERN LADY PRESIDENT CARTER CHOSE RIGHT…!!! MAY SHE REST IN GODS ARMS…❤️🙌🏾🙏🏽
She had what Melania never had and can't be bought. Class
Vale Rosalynn Carter. A great lady.
The interview questions at the beginning were inappropriate. Intrusive and too personal. People being interviewed should be allowed to maintain their dignity, not be pried into by someone trying to dig up some dirt.
Madam Ms. Cater, FLOTUS May She Rest In Peace - Paradise!. Amen.
Her accent a deep Georgia accent or really just yer general Southern accent?..I assume the prior...either way southern ladies with their southern drawl..ooh la la 😍😉
First lady Rosalynn Carter | 60 Minutes Archive 0605am 29.11.23 the peanut king........................ brother billy? he was the peanut king, wasn't he? wearing a cardigan was seen as outré for a president? i like a good cardie. that's a very odd insight he made..... i am surprised you didnt mention the colour of his socks.... or footwear... as though that was an expose of his inner turmoil or political angst. after carter - the political world took an about turn and now forever repeats itself... refer to present day issues with iran and middle east per se, GNP, pollution concerns, battle of sexes etc etc etc... listen, so independent a trucking spirit did these guys have that they chewed gum with aplomb for the cameras... touche!!!
Boa tarde.
What ridiculous questions! Good for Mrs. Carter! Grace ❤️
Lovely and smart First Lady. What awful questions by an interviewer. RIP Mrs. Carter 🙏🏻💔🇺🇸
Imagine there's no heaven... or religion
Shes chomping on her gum just like a kid. Amy Carter.
Did she look like a kid?
The entire tone of this interview is so gross and sexist.
well, the first thing i would have taught my daughter would have been not chewing her gum so loudly with an open mouth. but that seems to be something that americans love to do, same with chewing your food with an open mouth which seems to be acceptable in the us, it's disgusting! she seems to be a lovely lady, rip rosalynn!
Chewing with your mouth open is not ok in the US. Not sure what you’re talking about. Also, have u seen how other people around the world eat? No utensils, wash hands, on the floor, mouths open, etc. if the US is a problem for u, please do not travel anywhere.
So you said something nice about Mrs. Carter as an afterthought-after you bashed her daughter & Americans as well
@@sylviagregory3585 apparently I did but since I lived in the US for nine years I have experienced it first hand.
@@Jiorgiapeach I've spent nine years in the US, I know what i am talking about. you can even see it on TV.
This is true here in the states, the way many are not taught many things that Europeans find common amongst all classes.
not particularly impressive but whatever
Super humble, modest, down-to-earth, and relatable.
Rosalynn Carter well not be forgotten she’s in a better place now.🪦🕊
RIP Rosalynn Carter beautiful soul ♡
