    We were just looking at that camper today. Do you have any issue towing uphill with your Jeep? We have a 2017 wrangler on 35’s as well.

      Hi, Mil Spac Jeep. I live in south Florida, where it's mostly flat. The most hills I've done are in Clermont, Fl. I've been there a few times in the summer when temps usually are in the mid-'90s. The Wrangler handled the hills just fine. I feel comfortable going to the Smoky Mountains with the Wrangler towing the Geo Pro. I drive nice and easy when towing the Geo Pro. This year I've upgraded to a Gladiator because we want to upgrade our camper trailer. Nothing wrong with the Geo Pro, we LOVE it. We just need more room when we bring friends and family. Wranglers and Geo Pro's are a good combo. Thanks for watching and for your question. Cheers, JC.

    @Ultracon I have a Jeep 392 Rubicon on order. I love this trailer and the lifestyle you've created. However, I'm still new to all this, and I've noticed my Jeep is rated @ 3500 lbs towing capacity. According the the website the 19FBS is 3300lbs unloaded. My question is how safe is it to haul this thing around through large slopes and mountain passes? How much can my Jeep ACTUALLY handle? Most of the videos I've seen of yours a is flat driving it seems.
    Thanks

      Hi, J Wd. Sweet congrats on the 392 Rubicon! You are correct; you’re limited to 3500 lbs of towing doe to the drivetrain. I tow a Geo Pro model G19BH 3088 lbs (Early 2021 model) therefore, I have about 500 lbs for cargo. I drive nice and easy under 65 MPH. I also live in flat Florida. I’ve now have 6750 miles of towing my Geo Pro with zero issues. I don’t feel I’m towing a camper trailer, and at times I forget I’m towing the camper trailer. I feel safe towing the Camper. My Jeep has plenty of power when towing. I'm not sure how my Jeep would handle claiming mountains and passing. If I ever go to a state with mountains, I will drive 55 MPS or under claiming mountains. Let me know what you end up towing and how the 392 handles it. Cheers, JC.

      @@Ultracon Thanks a ton! You're very kind and helpful. I might go with a lighter model due to the fact I live in mountainous areas (Seattle). I am looking into potential options for increasing my towing capacity still. (If thats possible) Ill let you know how it goes!

      @@jwd557 Your welcome. I’m interested in what you end up getting. I know the Gladiator sport with the tow package can tow 6500 lbs. There is hope. Keep me posted. JC.

    Loved the set up! How long is your camper? I’ve been looking for a camper that could be pulled by my Sahara, so I’m glad you uploaded! Thanks for the tour as well in the last video.

      Hi Eren, my camper is 20’ long 3088 lbs dry. It’s the model Geo Pro G19BH. I keep the camber at a minimum weight with cargo. I keep my tanks empty when towing it. I did instal a brake control on my JLU. The JLU handle the camper trailer with no issues. Plenty of power. Thank you for your complement of the set up. Thank you for taking the time to watch my video and comment. Let me know what camper you end up getting.

      @@Ultracon Any pro's and con's with the break control unit? Thx!

      @Ultracon  Před 3 lety +1

      @@Aaron-pf8cd Hi Aaron, the break control works great. Easy to use. When not is use I keep it in the glove department. The only con would be I have cables coming out the bottom of my dash board. If I had to do it again I would consider getting a mopar break control because it would be inserted into the dash board. Thanks for watching and your comment. Cheers, JC

    This was a beautiful campsite on the beach. Do any of you know any other campsites like this one?

    Nice setup! We are purchasing a Geo Pro 15TB to be pulled with our 2020 JLU Willys with the 2.0. We looked at the 19FD but it would be at or over the Jeeps ratings.
    I noticed that your spare tire was removed from the Jeep. Does it interfere with the camper when connected?

    • @Ultracon
      @Ultracon  Před 3 lety +1

      Thank you, David. The 15TB looks very nice and comfortable. You’re going to love your Geo Pro. Initially I took off the spare tire when picking up the trailer at the dealer to shed weight off the rear of the JLU. Once I connect the camper trailer it was clear there is no room for the spare tire due to the propane gas tanks the trailer has. My spare tire is 35”x 12.5” roughly 80lbs. I’ve been towing my camper ever 3-5 weeks so far. I’ve not put my spare tire back on the JLU. I’m starting to wonder if I even need it. For the most part, it’s just for looks. I don’t do heavy off road riding. Let me know how it goes once you have your 15TB. Thanks for taking the time to watch my video and comment.

      We’ve had several different types of RVs in the past and this time want to go with something smaller as it’s easier to camp at places with smaller sites.
      Two suggestions for you. I changed to 34” tires and used JScan app with the security cable and Bluetooth adapter to correct my speedometer. JScan does a lot more and is very similar to Tazer but cheaper and IMO easier to navigate. Getting your speedometer accurate will help your transmission to shift as when stock and bring back some of your loss mileage.
      The other is there is a FB group called Jeeps and Geo Pros. A lot of good people there with common interests.

      We’ve saved that campsite into our favorites and will definitely plan a trip next year there. It’s about 4 1/2 hrs away from Pensacola.

      @Ultracon  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi Carl, Thanks for watching my video, I’m glad you both enjoyed. My trailer model is: Rockwood Geo Pro G19BH dry weight 3088lbs. Hitch weight 360lbs. I also considered the G19FBS 3075 lbs dry weight and hitch weight 413 lbs. We are very happy with our Geo Pro purchase. These Geo Pro’s are solid!

We will be towing half that weight and seeing how well your JLU tows, it does give us peace-of-mind.
