Yes, for me, prayer and learning the true definitions of every word, in each verse, and the grammar of each word, insures a right understanding, and proves that diligence, to make my calling and election sure, has given me 'the love of the truth', causing me to receive 'with meekness the Engrafted WORD, able to save our souls'...yes, prayer and faith make the difference!

Well said; basically speaking the truth of scripture found in John 17:17 and 1 Thessalonians 5:17. It sounds trite, but unless you're letting God speak to you and grow you through the Word and you're not speaking to the Lord in His will through prayer, you're grow is hindered.
You can also grow from silence and just listening. We see Jesus do this many times in the Gospels. So we should be like Jesus. You can see I do a lot of talking per my youtube channel. I need to shut up more.

Prayer is defintely neglected. It is such a struggle with the flesh to enter into proper prayer. I do not think there is any better answer to this question.
Silent prayer bro, where you let the Holy Spirit intercede for you such that if fulfills being still and knowing that He is God. Where instead of reacting you let things pass. Remember it is a spiritual battle.

Yet we wonder why we have No power, Can't heard the voice of God, etc. Because we don't pray and read the Word daily. Praying and studying HIS Word= connection with God and Power from on High to overcome sin, temptations, experience growth, etc.
Very very true. I too have neglected my sincere prayer and communion with the Lord. I need to confess it and ask for His help.

Hmmm ... "The two pillars of the Christian faith are prayer and the ministry of the word"; this isn't the middle east and certainly not islam. ¿The two pillars of the Christian faith? Like, John and Paul!) The Means of YHWH'S Grace are what We should be putting!
There are many pillars to the Christian faith, Jesus summed it up in two. Love the Lord your God with all your heart, would mind, and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself. On my channel n different episodes, I talk about what it means to love yourself so that you can love others. I know I have had a hard time and I think others have just valuing themselves.
