Tuff to mill in a parking lot. Small milling machine but still a pain in the ass. Did a lot of this but mostly on highways.. Crossing over right to left or left to right can be a challenge. Also if you mix in semis with quads it can get challenging. I really enjoyed it. The first time i did it was a disaster. These operators were screaming and yelling millings flying all over. They hate that. Pull away to fast and they will spray the top of your cab the next time you are in line.....
If you can go with minimal beeps by the grinder operator it means you're doing a great. I like to load mine really heavy to the front in the beginning so you don't have a pile in the middle and nothing in the front.
Awesome video Brian. Glad to see the truck working double shifts for ya, that helps the wallet out. The words about the backup beeper bout had me rolling in the floor buddy.
They say that anyone can haul mix. It takes a good driver to make it look easy. Which in the end makes the looker think it's a simple easy paying job. Lies. The driver is fooling you. It's not as easy as it looks. The driver is talented and well seasoned!!
Well, today, just about anyone is hauling asphalt, concrete too. There are not many good or even average drivers these days. IF, you've common sense, and you work like YOU own the place, this type work, or any other, is simple. Many fools driving these days went to school for it, and they still haven't a clue.
@@JamesSmith-jq2jc @James Smith hauling concrete has a life of it's own....hauling anything in a city is easy...when you're hauling on country roads it's a totally different animal. Yes that's right those big paver jobs can make for along day! I pulled pneumatics powder trains. We were on McCarren airport runway repave. When I got to the job site. I was the 13th truck in line. Had a tri axle with a high lift gate get stuck... (It was the bed that wouldn't raise, $60 Solenoid that would take 10hrs to get) they scooped what they could out with a backhoe, then set a Toro Dingo in the back with some shovels and brooms and with a couple 6x6 to ramp it up on in the bed to clear the side of the bed they got it cleaned out for the biggest part. I wouldn't wanna been in the bed of that truck and it at least Mid 80°F out on a sunny day, with Asphalt in it.
That's actually really good, Im allowed 55 on the truck and 50 on the pup, would be much easier for dumping asphalt with the super dump, less time waiting in line lol
Never ran a strong arm.. debating between that and a six axle solo though down here in Oregon. Any real advantages to a strong arm vs a six axle other then what the vehicle can haul?

Rock, sand, dirt, asphalt, Washington state has some strict bridge laws basically has to do with the weight per axle on the ground to spread out the weight id the load to not damage the roads. California is even worse
Good job đ love seeing new jobs that I have never seen before

Mike Moniz has a bad ass beep

Roger beeps are ghay...
It would seem to me the wear on the tires is off the charts when turning.
I quit that morning, thatâs why your down a truckđ€Ł

Is that what you guys use for an asphalt tarp? Looks like mesh. My tarp is a heavy vinyl/ rubber tarp.
We have both
It's mesh
@@BRIANVANDUYN I thought it looked like mesh seems the heat from the asphalt would escape threw the mesh . Different states I guess.

@@BRIANVANDUYN We all use the heavy vinyl here in PA.
What can you net with that truck? Slick setup!
25 ton

I haul 25 ton on a tri axle. đ
What rear axle is that? Doesnât look like a Maxle or a strong
Unfortunately it is a strong
2000 tons we do that in 12 hours đ here in new hampshire no lie
How many tons was that load?
25 ton
What are those wheels that fold down at the back for. ?????
They are to spread the weight out over bigger distance

what is the purpose of the raised axle at the very back?
It is to spread out the weight of the truck so they dont damage the roads and bridges

its a mesh tarp lol ??? hauling mix ?
Asphalt rated Haha
Mix colder than shit with that screen they call a tarp
It actually wasn't cold at all
I thought it would be cold because of the mesh too but it breaks the wind good I guess because it worked
I find that truck price hard to believe. You couldn't run that enough . That truck would have to run night and day. Not to mention, license, taxes...
Dude the truck makes 30+k a month
If you don't believe me call up western peterbilt in fife and ask what the cost is after financing
What camera were using ?
Dji mavic zoom drone
Guessing you're ripping through brakes being in neutral stopping while loaded for whatever reason you're doing that....
You would be surprised to know did my first brake change at 100k and they still had a lot of life left
How many metric ton could you carry with a truck with that many axles here in Canada I have a Tri axle dump and I can carry 36000 gross metric ton
Im not sure what you mean by metric tons her 1 ton is 2000 pounds and she can haul 25 tons here that is 50,000 pounds
So metric ton 22.5
Net
36.2 gross
Bugs worked out on the strong arm?
