I was at the stadium just doubled over laughing when Atlanta took the lead, but oh man... the walk off was oh so sweet! Most electric investment I've ever seen! A beautiful sight!
I was at this game and it was incredible. Highs. Lows. Then the walkoff. Just amazing. Really classy call from the Braves broadcaster, neither team deserved to lose. But I’m glad my Mariners pulled it out! Can’t wait for Seattle playoff baseball! GOMS!
the braves are a much better team you guys only one because there closure has been struggling
struggling or not, M's still had to swing the bat.. and those pitches they hit were decent, not out over the middle of the plate.
also, Jansen's not to blame for braves bats being quiet for 8 innings. and I have to point out Castillo and Sewald have been struggling too, braves were even lucky to score what they did off our bullpen, which has been lights out, as well as our SPs.

I'm really surprised by how cheap Atlanta signed Harris for. Eight years, $72M with club options for two more seasons. That seems like an incredible bargain for a guy who seems like he's going to be an absolute superstar.
This has to be one of my favorite highlight videos of all time in Seattle sports. Top 10 for sure. What a wild finish to a wild game.
Mariners Fans have been waiting 21 years for a team like this.....and they are young. Hopefully leadership wont do what they always do and trade away the pieces at the end of the year. We have Rodriguez locked up but we need to keep them all for a few years and see it through!
They also have Ray for a few years as well. They have club control over Gilbert and Kirby through 2028. They are likely to extend Luis Castillo in the off-season. They have JP Crawford for a few years under contract. They have arbitration eligibility and club control over their catcher. That leaves Ty France, who I believe has two more arbitration years left. I would lock him down while doing Castillo. Then maybe Suarez, who has been far better defensively than we expected, and has hit well on top of that. They have three on Frazier and and the same, I believe, on Winker. The only question remains, do you lock down Haniger for a couple years as your primary left fielder and let Trammell and Haggerty man right while Winker becomes your DH? Or do you go for Haggerty and Trammell as your corner outfielders and have Mitch traded away, and rely on Kelenic as your fourth outfuelder?Maybe you chase a lefty starter next year and trade off Marco, as the rest of the rotation is solid and young. You also need a quality left hander in the high leverage back end of your bullpen. Just a few random thoughts.

Last off-season with the Ray contract and Julio makes me think ownership is gonna give it a real shot. Add In the Castillo trade and it clear everybody is on the same page for once.

When arguably the best bullpen in the majors finally has a collapse game, and the Mariners still refuse to accept a loss, that says something. The Braves have got to be saying, "Man, we came back and everything, and they still won the game anyway. That is a scary good club over there, one that refuses to stay beaten. In a short series they are that most dangerous of teams, the hungry ones."

@@Swimfinz You don't HAVE to love Ham Swaggerty, but the "nice young men in their clean white coats" are waiting for you if you don't, and they are indeed "coming to take you away". I also love Shel Silverstien, the guy behind most of Dr Hook lyrics. Monster Mash, Shaving Cream, Tie Me Kangaroo Down, Purple People Eater, Camp Granada, these are all novelty songs, and I love them all. I also love Rocky Horror Picture Show. Tim Curry at his best and Susan Sarandon when she was young and pretty. All my loves rolled into one gooey good season. I was sitting in my season ticket seats for 116, but this is far more fun a team.

I was born in ‘99 and didn’t really get into sports till I was about 13. Grew up watching guys like Rauuuuuuuuuuuuuul, LoMo, Ackley, Dae Ho and then guys like Robbie and Nellie. It was so amazing to watch playoff baseball with my dad and I pretty much feel like being able to see Julio’s meteoric rise is a lot like what my pops got to watch with Griffey. Words can’t explain how amazing it is to watch the talent and success they have after suffering through some rough but fun seasons of rooting for guys like Leonys Martin and Nick Vincent. Seattle really is a great baseball city.

The Mets need to win their division and a healthy Max for this to happen; because the NL is crazy tough with 4 of the top 5 contenders.

Me and everyone being so mad after they blew the 9th inning kead and then walking it off and high fiving everyone. When suarez hit that walk off This was amazing so many people around me left after the 8th thinking it was over and them Castillo and Sewald blowing it.
Well, can you blame them for assuming that was it? Those two have been money all year. For one of them to have a bad game is weird enough. For both of them to collapse, utterly collapse, in the same game is just unreal. Or at least surreal.

This ball game is the prime example, or should I say one of the numerous prime examples, of why and how baseball is so cool -- or great, if you prefer. Just outstanding playing from both teams -- hitting, fielding, pitching -- it really should stand out historically as one of the most exciting baseball games -- at least among games in recent years.

This has got to be one of the toughest sundays ever. Falcons choke a lead, and braves complete the greatest comeback of the year only for jansen to blow it. Why can’t iglesias close out the game, seriously this loss hurts so bad. We are back 1.5 to the mets this is getting bad. Braves need a sweep against the giants. Braves have to bounce back

I was at the game..when Mariners mgr brought Diego in for the 9th.. here we go so I wasn't shocked when he gave up 3-run hr.. but when sewald gave up 2-run hr and braves take the lead.. wth just happened!...had my rally cap turned backwards..Lets go..then Haggerty bunt w/no one on...geez here we go..props to Julio and Rico(Suarez) for coming through... best 9th inning and game.. been following m's since the Griffey Era. munoz will eventually be the closer when he gets more experience i feel. swanson is very good at his 7th and 8th inning role. we definitely need to take diego castillo out the relief lineup

I was at work listening to this game. One of my coworkers (a braves fan) was listening to this game too. I got cocky and started bragging abt our 6-2 lead. Then they racked up the 5 runs in the 9th. Then he bragged. Then we had our homers and I literally did a happy dance in the middle of work. Absolutely amazing game from both teams.
As a Met fan, this was fun to watch.

We were up 4-1 when I started work. I was listening on the radio on my way in. I thought this would be a pretty sure thing seeing how our bullpen has been. I check the score on my last break and see we won by 1 in the bottom of the 9th. Not until I got home and watched the game highlights did I realize what a great game this was! Man, maybe the game of the year. I'm the same age as the Mariners, lol and I'm very cautious about getting too invested. I love the M's, I was here for that '95 season and '01 and everything else. But for the last 20+ years it's been a struggle and I don't get too invested. But this team is different and I can feel a change in the atmosphere. This is a special team and I think it will just keep getting better for a while.
Mets fans appreciated those two homers in the bottom of the ninth.
Are. You. Kidding. Me!! That was the game of the year. After the first game of this series I was thinking that we had a long ways to go before we were at the level of a world series contender. Now I feel like we can compete. I know the Braves are more talented but we took two of three without our best arms on the mound, with our best hitters slumping and our manager making questionable decisions. This team still needs some upgrades but anyone else feeling shades of 2012 Seahawks here?
