And if he does that he may not be on the bases enough to reach 70 steals. 30/60 is basically a guarantee since he only needs 1 homer. 35/70 seems reasonable. I don't see him getting 40 homers this year though.

It’s crazy but to put it in perspective the 2001 Mariners finished 116-46, 70 games over .500!!

Yes, he's not been active in homeruns for about a week, but singles, doubles, and triples have become more common. He's also striking out less. Olson was often hitting home runs or striking out. Not so many strikeouts lately and more hits.
He got rung up a few times in big spots on clear balls too. That's baseball.

To me that is sad because the Rockies a underachieving team.
The Marlins are sitting as close to .500 as u can get at .504. Atlanta is 19.5 games ahead. HOW can Atlanta be 40 games above .500 when they are only 19.5 games above a .504 team?
After 130 games, a .500 team would be 65-65. At 85-45, atlanta is 20 games over .500.
Sounds like the announcer had something else in mind.

If a team is 40 games over .500, they could lose 40 straight games and still be at .500. The Braves are 85-45.
Because when you win, you pick up 1/2 game in the standings, not a full game. You only gain a full game in the standings if you win and the rival loses.

The reason with the Marlins is that it's cut in half when deciding "games behind" bc to gain a game, the Braves have to lose, AND the Marlins have to win. One team going up, while the other team is going down.
And to prove you wrong once again, if the Braves are 20 games above .500 (as you are trying to claim). So what are they when they lose the 20 games? Still 85-65...which is still above .500. So you are just wrong, man.
