    Nearly twice the cooking volume of the standard Rome iron. The larger size allows you to get creative with pizza dough, tortillas, biscuit & crescent roll dough etc... Cooking area is 5"x 5" x 2" deep.
    To use simply place a piece of buttered bread in the clam shell style compartment, fill with preserves, pie filling, cheese or meat. Add the second slice of bread. Close the lid and toast over the fire until done. Perfect for campfires or backyard firepits.

    I love Pie Iron Cooking. Not sure about the pickles and peanut butter tho. Don’t be afraid to load up the ingredients and keep it simple. I have made some amazing pie iron meals (and had some amazing failures).

    We use pie irons from Palmer MFG. I don't like the loose hinge type of iron.

    You should've told me, I would have driven up there and chopped ya up some good firewood and some good kindling to get that fire up and going well!!! 😉

    I had a cast iron waffle iron with "Rome" in the name but not sure it was exactly the same brand. It worked very well, except it was too small. I like your iron. The few recipes you mentioned which came with it? - not so much 🤢😉 As always, though, I appreciate your demos 😊

    Pie irons are NOT ready to use out of the box.
