  • In some ways San Blas feels a world away from the problems of everyday life; in others, it's right at the forefront. Plastic on the beaches is a common sight here, as the ocean currents bring it from all over the Caribbean. Like many developing countries, there is no way to dispose of single use plastics once they wash up here. Join us for a beach cleanup of our favourite island, Chichime.
Also in this episode, Spinnaker sailing in the trade winds with our Swiss guest Joel and a beach yoga session! Enjoy!
If you like our videos and want to support Bohemia's bar tab, you can make a contribution at / sailingbohemia .
Peter and Tom are gay sailors who learned to sail relatively recently in the San Francisco Bay, before casting off the lines to cruise Mexico, Central America and beyond!

Dudes, start the fire first, wait until it's good and piping, then throw the plastic on. Good job cleaning up that liter , we like that.

In the previous episode I saw that the stern of the Bohemia said "Bohemia London".
Have you changed the ship's flag from USA to UK? And if so, was it difficult to change it?
    Greetings from old Europe!

Hola from the New World! No, it wasn't too difficult but there was some beaurocracy involved. Most of the difficult parts were due to the British registry requiring a tonnage certificate, which of course we didn't have... Other than that it was just a case of proving ownership with the bill of sale. We changed it a few years back in Mexico as we no longer had any ties to the USA.
