Ibn al-Qayyim
The Hardened Heart
.
The slave is not afflicted with a punishment greater than the hardening of the heart and being distant from Allah for the Fire was created to melt the hardened heart.
The most distant heart from Allah
is the heart which is hardened.
If the heart becomes hardened,
the eye becomes dry.
.
If four matters are exceeded in quantity,
beyond what is necessary,
the heart shall become hardened:
Food, sleep, speech and sexual intercourse.
A body afflicted by disease does not derive nourishment from food or water,
similarly a heart diseased by desire does not benefit from admonishment or exhortation.
.
Whosoever desires to purify his heart,
then let him prefer Allah to his desires.
.
The heart which is clinging to its desires is veiled from Allah, commensurate to the degree that it is attached to them.
The hearts are the vessels of Allah upon His earth,
hence the most beloved of them to Him,
are the ones most compassionate,
pure and resistant to deviation.
.
They (the transgressors) preoccupied their hearts [in the pursuance] of the Dunya,
would that they preoccupied them with Allah and the Hereafter,
then surely they would have reflected upon the intended meaning of His poignant Words and Verses.
Their hearts would have returned to their masters with a wisdom,
marvelously curious and [in possession] of the rarest of precious gems.

If the heart is nourished with remembrance,
its thirst quenched with contemplation and cleansed from corruption,
it shall witness remarkable and wondrous matters,
inspiring wisdom.
.
Not every individual endowed with knowledge and wisdom, and assumes its character,
is from amongst its people.
Rather the People of Knowledge and Wisdom are those who infused life into their hearts by slaying their desires.
As for the one who slew his heart and vitalized his desires,
then knowledge and wisdom are naked upon his tongue.
.
The destruction of the heart occurs by security [in this Dunya] and negligence,
its fortification occurs by fear and remembrance.
If the heart renounces the pleasures of the Dunya, it settles upon the [pursuance] of the pleasures of the Hereafter,
and amongst those who call towards it.
Should the heart become content with the pleasures of the Dunya,
those pleasures [of the Hereafter] cease [to continue].
.
Yearning for Allah and His meeting is like the gentle breeze blowing upon the heart, extinguishing the blaze of the Dunya. Whosoever caused his heart to settle with his Lord shall be in a state,
calm and tranquil,
and whosoever sent it amongst the people shall be disturbed and excessively perturbed.
.
For the love of Allah shall not enter a heart which contains the love of this world,
except as a camel which passes through the eye of a needle.
.
Hence, the most beloved servant before Allah is the one whom He places in His servitude,
whom He selects for His love,
whom He causes to purify his worship for Him,
dedicates his objectives for Him,
his tongue for His remembrance,
and his limbs for His service.
.
The heart becomes sick,
as the body becomes sick,
and its remedy is
al-Tawbah (repentance)
and protection [from transgression].
It becomes rusty as a mirror becomes rusty,
and its clarity is obtained by remembrance.
It becomes naked as the body becomes naked,
and its beautification is al-Taqwa.
It becomes hungry and thirsty as the body becomes hungry,
and its food and drink are
knowledge,
love,
dependence,
repentance and
servitude.

Allâhumma a’innî alâ dhikrika, wa shukrika, wa husni ‘ibâdatika
O Allah, help me remember You, to be grateful to You, and to worship You in an excellent manner”
But none will keep it in remembrance except as Allah wills: He is the Lord of Righteousness, and the Lord of Forgiveness.(QS Al Muddatsir: 56)
from this we learn that its good to be hungry sometimes, to be in discomfort sometimes -helps our iman
it's ok to feel bored and we dont have to be not be entertained all the time , the less the better
you do not have to fulfil every craving
you do not need to pity yourself and then treat yourself with decadence over the smallest efforts
all these things can lead to a hardened heart subhaanAllah
Salam ma laykum may allah bless and ease the sufferings of the ummah and may allah protect the people of palestine and Afghanistan and Lebanon and may allah protect the masjid al aqsa from oppressors and may allah unite the ummah upon the quran and sunnah and may allah destroy the enemies of Islam and may allah have mercy on all those that have passed away before us and may Allah have mercy on us when we pass away and may allah cure all those that have a sickness and a disability and that have corona and may allah grant them a cure that leaves no aliment and may allah protect the muslims from hellfire and from the fitnah of dajjal and may allah answer all our prayers and duas ameen

Someone break my heart 💔 he promises to marriage.
He comes to me for marriage. I reject many times.. a lot.. but he still continue .. I accept him.. but he changes his attitude now after an year... And now he gave reason that he is hurt that I said that in some argument...
Now after all should i go and complain to him.. I just played with me... He was the one who come to me.. he is now who left.. in all these... Where am I...
He just played with me like a doll..
Now when he left I have so much to complain I can't even complain to him... It will look I am coming to him again..
But this situation really destroyed me.. I can't explain it.. should I should just leave it to Allah.. or go back just to complain....

Salam sister do this wazifa for 3months and on the days you “cant” pray , mark those down and make up for it : the wazifa is , after 2sunnah of fajr , read darood sharif ( allahuma salay ala) 11 times then surah fatiha 41 times then 11 times darood sharif again and don’t be distracted with anything,concentrate on that specific dua you are making , or the struggle you are going through,then finish reading your 2 farz fajr and make your dua . Keep this up for 3 months and give charity along the way as well , feed birds or anything you can do . Also recite surah fatiha through out the day . Hope this helps ameen
After you finish reading this after fajr you can also blow it in your water , this has shifa in it

Should I go and complain someone who promises me to marriage and now left me saying that he is hurt from that argument... He was the one who comes to me for marriage.. I reject many times.. finally I accept now after an year he left me.. am I doll who he can play with and then left.. I am hurt the most.
Should I complain to him or just leave it to Allah...
depends on how you going to approach this complain if you going to go at him and blame him then its not worth it if you try fix it with a good attitude then maybe, but in my advice leave it to Allah, do not hold grudges, if you do feel down and sad read some Quran and abit of dkhir to get your mind off slowly In Sha Allah you will heal, May Allah make it easy for you and guide you, Ameen!.

So,Just leave everything to Allah and better try to move on!!! Remember one thing! This was a test from Allah you should better turn back to Allah and move on! Cause everything happens for a reason!!
