What the Sheikh meant is talking about other cultures for just the sake of conversation and time wasting was not recommended by the rasool sallalahu alaihi wa sallam... Of course travel and knowing cultures is recommended in Isiam for the pursuit of knowledge, earning and knowing more about Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala and His Qudra and to propogate that experience for the sake of benefitting others to pursue the same.

The title has nothing to do with the content. How to purify your soul is by tawba and istighfar and this video was about completely different things.There is also a funny mistake in the video: at 10:09 the sheik says akil but it is translated as alcohol. "the alcohol is what tells you what the real goods, what's really good for you". lol what?

A very humble request, yet another request, to be relevant to the title please.
People will still listen for the sake of Allah, though may start avoiding due to it not addressing the title directly.. and your talks aren't a couple of minutes long.
The person speaking sounds like he (may Allah raise your status, and guide you to always speak the truth) knows a thing or two about the essence of the knowledge of Deen Al-Islam.
May I request very humbly for three things, and please check with your teacher/shaikh/ustad prior to commenting back in-sha' Allah.
1. Kindly differentiate between Allah's word AlQuran, sayings of the prophet salalahu alaihi wassallam AlHadith, and especially when you are quoting Aslaaf rahim Allah, after the time of prophet s a w... also mixing stuff from yourself.
Please don't mix what is from Allah with people's sayings and also quoting people and what the prophet s a w said, in the same sentence you're uttering, so much so that it's hard to differentiate what's from Allah SWT & the prophet s a w, and what's from others including yourself.
Quran and Hadith need to be clearly separated from own stuff (we're ordinary Muslim who can make a mistake, whereas Allah swt is free from faults, and His prophet s a w don't make mistakes.. plus it's not respectful having own ramblings getting added on in between quoting from Quran & hadith), then after that you can add your commentary, or support what you're saying with ref from Quran (chapter & verse) and Hadith (no & the book).
2. You were mentioning drugs, and supported it by saying Um el Khabaa'iss (used for alcohol only, being the mother of evil) whereas valium, paracetamol, tranquilizers, antidepressants etc. etc. etc., are all drugs, prescribed to & used by needy Muslims everywhere everyday.
Opiates medicine, and now even cannabinoids are being prescribed and Muslims are taking them as medicine, even getting Fatwa to not observe fasting in Ramadan due to taking medicine!
Also, treating an illness isn't compulsory (Fardh) in Islamic way of life.
Medicine don't cure, only Allah AlHakeem cures, or doesn't for that matter. This is AlQadr (ordained) for us.

Allah AlMaalik has strictly forbade making Harram which Allah AlKhaliq hasn't made Harram.
3. Since when cheese cake or calories are going to make anyone fat or gain/lose weight (can it be supported by AlQuran, or AlHadith that they do?).
Whereas an article of Faith (Emaan)' we utter, and not fully believing in it puts our Emaan in real danger, is that 'all good & bad comes (only) from Allah' (AlQadir).
Even food isn't nourishing, or water a thirst quencher (millions falling ill eating top quality foods everywhere everyday, while all of us have bloated ourselves drinking water or other liquids at one time or another in life without really quenching the thirst.. some people get well taking a particular medicine while others get worse). More people die of lung or throat cancer, who didn't smoke than those who do! One can check statistics for reference.
It's only Allah AsSammad, Who alone nourishes & revives people & things, we eat & drink 'coz it's Sunnah s a w.
I'm thinking the speaker has sincere intentions, just that he gets a bit carried away in excitement speaking the truth.
Guarding our tongue is half of what will help us in entering Jannah in-sha' Allah.. the other half is what's between our legs!
