@@jarvisfowlkes3200 It was quite obvious that he lied. To both Jake and Aiden about having a boyfriend. It was obvious that it was a lie when Aiden tried to know more about it. Tom got defesive and started spewing lame excuses.
Do you know about protections from the bears? System must be smart enough to stop the bears but dumb enough so we could use is. Similar is with lying in media. Characters like Tom (in this case; here) or Astarion (Baldurs Gate 3) have to lie convincing enough so we would believe that the characters would believe it, but not convincing enough so WE would believe it. But like with the first one, there is no perfect solution, because the sets of bears and humans overlap when it comes to intelligence so smartest bear is smarter than the dumbest human.
So it happens that sometimes we believe in a lie that we are not supposed to believe because it's a lie prepared for a character while you're supposed to know that the character is lied to.

I'm glad you're seeing the positves of Jake's developement (he still has a lot to grow but it takes time) because I see so many people are still mad at Jake for still having doubts but to me what matters is that he didn't act impulsively even he has doubts about his relationship with others, and that's a step in the right direction.

@@mandu859While Alec has been doing a lot in the first episodes he messed up already and isn’t on the best position, he lost Fiore his first alliance member and overall backing on Miriam was a mistake, I’m sure he won’t go neither Riya, next yellow boot is definitely Yul or Grett, but Alec is not as powerful as he was in the first episodes anymore, on the other side Ashley has kept complete control over everything around her, she stuck to Jake and has been making sure they get the upper hand, getting rid of James helped their position to openly be able to make an alliance with Fiore or unite with Hunter and Ally, to avoid any tie or 2v2 situation in the team they got rid of Hunter the stronger one of the couple and now Ashley made Jake get rid of Fiore putting her in the position of the leader and the swing vote, she has befriended both Ally and Jake and they are both her allies, now all power falls to her, she is definitely a merger and if the 3 of them get to merge together and make an alliance together maybe even Tess could join them up to dominate the votes
Hahahahahhaha! The Trevor shade from Crystal. Reaction did not disappoint.
Krystal is just coming DOWN on Trevor for no reason. How come? Has she seen the flags he made for the finale 2 years ago? The perfect triangular cuts of the fabric, the perfect length of the metal rod, the perfect yet appropriate commentary as he was making them? And, he gives his 100 percent testing callenges every week. If anybody was carrying the show, it was Trevor. Also, i would like to point out his angelic voice as he read the votes in season 1. Really, hes a role model.
With how Jake and Tom being handled and even parodying, I noticed a few things with these two:
In the remake, these got re-worked to possibly parody the concept of love/attraction at first sight. However, this season is focusing on why their relationship is broken beyond their break up, and that is broken trust. While they have focused on Jake and his trust issues, they are shifting that broken trust focus to Tom, regardless of the validity of the new BF. With the past few episodes, it has shown Tom still being in love with Jake while he cannot trust him at the same time.
Since I think this may get discussed later by Jake and/or Tom, something that gets overlooked by both Jake himself and most people is Jake actually broke his word to Tom by trying to call him so soon after the season. While the ghosting, as is stands now, is a source of criticism from Tom, Tom did have a bit of a reason to do this currently. In the remake finale, Jake agree to pause communication to better himself. Based on when said she did those interviews, Jake, even if he means well, disregarded that promise.
While there have been touches of beta this season, this episode has re-convinced me this is both reflecting and re-working a certain element with Tom from beta. He actually wants to tell Jake something, but he doesn’t have the slightest idea on how to do it, especially with how is prone to not keeping his mouth shut by most things, especially when it comes to Tom. If this getting re-worked, Tom’s still having awareness of being filmed means he is not ready to disclosed something yet. This could be personal with Jake and/or professional should also be back for work (meaning Tom has to or really should keep his mouth shut about, which Jake is an active temptation of getting Tom to spill something he has still to keep quiet)
That said, while people noted Jake in this episode, Tom had a bit of positive shift with Jake. Another way to describe ghosting is giving someone the cold shoulder, which Tom has been very icy towards Jake. However, Tom started to thaw both by how caught off guard he was with Jake actually a good ex for a change in addition to Tom, while honest with Aiden, defended Jake a little to Aiden. This can be a good thing (with Jake and Tom) and a bad thing (should Tom need to stay confidential about something) moving forward.
Feel like Jared and Robert were like ok Billy doesnt get to have all the wins this episode
Sure he gets the chance to absolutely DESTROY Riya in the beginning, but then they're like Billy's getting bullied by Kristal and Riya😅
I just noticed the moment fiore gets voted off you can see her crying for like 1 frame. So the demon child has emotions after all. If you pause around 30:56 - 30:58 you can see it.

Someone said they're treating Jake this season as if he was a DCAS leaker: Alec, Ellie, Fiore making him doubt everything, Miriam voted out, Tom probably lying to him, like most of his worries are justified because a lot of people are playing mind games with him, next thing that happens is that Tom isn't lying but his boyfriend is Jake's ex-boyfriend

I WAS RIGHT! Crystal is your new most disliked Character. When I first watched the episode my theories was confirmed because of her disrespect on Trevor's name. He *IS* the best host! Not only because silly Billy is his voice actor but because Trevor is just a wholesome sweetheart who went to jail like onces. 😅

Honestly, this episode was a HUGE redemption for Jake, like it almost felt ooc to see him react rationally and talk about his problems 😭. Over the course of Allstars, he has definitely moved up the ranks and gone from a character I disliked and found annoying, to one I feel sorry for and could almost even root for. Interested to see where his story with Aiden and Tom goes :)

Trevor singing was SLAY Derek sucks for being a hater
A main discussion topic from this episode was whether Tom was lying about his BF or not. This could go ether way. Either way, though, they are more layers to this. Longer explanation below:
If Tom is telling the truth, that revelation is recent. Compared to what with other character between season, whatever happened to Tom is likely to get fleshed out more. I noticed part of Tom’s arc, with and without Jake, has a focus of past re-visiting him in some. Currently, that is Jake. This may possibly reveal something else happened with Tom and Jake that broke Tom’s trust in Jake. Both of them hinted at something else happening in episode 4 (Jake) and episode 5 (Tom). Although Jake indicated they haven’t seen or even talked each other between seasons, context from James with Jake on social media and maybe Tom incidentally, from his new job, finding something out from Jake could still come into play. In addition, if Tom has an actual new BF, is it an offscreen or someone we know? (Side note: If Tom does have a boyfriend, this may be parodying Beth from TDA)
If Tom (based on a few tells having with Tom as well as feeling guilty about feeling like he had to lie to Jake), the last time Tom lied like this was when he was there for work as a spy. While he lost that job, they have brought up the fact that Tom is a cop a lot. Also, with Tom’s awareness of the cameras still, there could be certain production members who may be aware of this too, which may better explain the technology ban this seasons.

to fruition. As things stand now, Tom may feel
guilty about something with Jake (and possibly still love with Jake), but she is still keeping him at bay for some reason, whether that personal (new BF) or professional (something relative to
Tom as cop. That said, what gets overlooked is that Tom started to thaw a bit with Jake this, such as sticking up to Jake while talking to
Aiden. That said, it is going to take a lot more. While they have been building up Jake, Jake not over Tom may lead to Jake impulsively kissing Tom later, which things will get sloppy if that happens. With Fiore out (unless the E6 meant to throwback at S2E3), they bring back a certain challenge to “complicate” things like it did for a certain love triangle in S2.
@@Aices147 Aside from possibly Tom, I get the feeling this may happen with Ally with someone we know (Tess) or she may have a “girl crush” on (Ashley). If this happen, this may gets played out soon for Jake to see it to facilitate a fallout between Jake and Ashley next episode/tome Magenta goes to elimination.

Regarding the Villains' Alliance, the other teams confronted Fiore and Ellie about the letters, and Fiore told Riya in the footrace that episode. However, Riya didn't pass on the message to the rest of her team. Alec didn't know that everyone knew.
The reaction to Krystal dissing Trevor was sooo funny! I knew that it was going to piss Silly Billy off. But seriously, the editing and slow motion made it even funnier. 😂
But yeah, Krystal is so wrong for that. Trever is top tier! His singing also helps prove that as well. 😎🔥👌

Hoi! :) So, Connor planted the letters for Miriam when she got voted out after she exposed the villains alliance to Connor in front of the rest of the yellow team. Miriam gave Connor the letters as she was leaving, and since everyone left on the yellow team except Connor had been in the villains alliance (and would have heard about the villains alliance from Miriam when she exposed them) there was no need to leave a letter in the yellow camp. Connor placed them secretly in the magenta camp and in the cyan camp, and the rest of the yellow team never knew the letters existed, that's why Alec was confused about the letters because for this whole time he has had no idea that anyone knew about the villains alliance except for the people in it.
OMG I JUST PAID ATTENTION TO THE CREDITS FOR THE FIRST TIME- HWAT-? HWAT? WHAT DO THEY MEAN LAKE AND TESS ARE VOICED BY THE SAME PERSON? EXCUSE ME-? Miriam and Emily being voiced by the same person? "People care about superficial things like 'personality'" - While I hate what Yul's doing to Grett, fully agree that she deserves better than him, and even suspect she's being set up for a redemption arc this season, it's nice to get a reminder of how awful a person Grett is capable of being.

Riya slays. 😂 She is a decent human being sort of. She was just a terrible person for Hollywood. She also broke up with Connor with respect. She also offered to be friends with Connor. And I did not verbally abuse him. Ruyaya has made it quite clear where she stands strategy over morals. Which is respectable. Okay trying to kill Aiden was kind of messed up. But she hasn't done that in a year.
