Yeah. Jake has done some inexcusable stuff, but I don’t hold that scene against him. If he didn’t they want would’ve either tied or Aiden would’ve outsped him. Many people in past challenges did worse including outright harming contestants. Especially comparing him to Riya, who straight up tried to kill Aiden, Jake is a saint here. He even gave Aiden advice to jump and made sure he was safely up before sabotaging him

Honestly I disagree with you on the "Jake is as bad as Riya" statement when Jake took Aiden's card, because Aiden got karma for taking the bird from Jake on episode 2 and he even said something similar to "it's the game, no hard feelings right." Also like they both said, it's part of the game to win, so it was a little entitled to tell Jake "i'm next" knowing well if Jake goes last his team loses....so no Jake isn't as bad as Riya, he was just playing to not have his team go to elimination.
Jake is definitely getting just as bad as Riya but not for the card thing. (Even tho personally I wouldn’t let him do that) he’s causing drama in his own team. He took out their strongest player (James) because he got mad that Jake accused his boyfriend of cheating, then he cost them the challenge last episode for not focusing and getting crushed by a ball and now he’s picking fights with ally. One of the few people left on his team. And I didn’t even mention the iPad he broke cause he decided to play tug a war with it. Actually scratch that, at least Riya is helping her team win

@@Ale_Creates That card move, while smart seems like a d**k move to do. It’s something I’d expect Riya/yul to do. Funny how the person he did it to was the person he hates🤔and I saw another comment you said about praising villains. No one is saying that what a villain does is a good thing, people praise how smart the move is, regardless of whether it was an honorable move. Ellie throwing Tom onto Aiden or Jake throwing Aiden card are d**k moves but smart ones which is what people praise. Jake isn’t an evil guy by nature but he’s a self destructive idiot who honestly should be in therapy instead of a game show that can be harsh. Disventure camp isn’t a place to be nice, it’s a place where winning is everything
It's the exact same line, hence the wink, the "You understand," and the finger quotes. (Plus that's a subtly mean challenge - "You're in a race, last to get to the finish line loses. The only obstacle is cooperating to get out of a pit." - While Riya had already done the betrayal so didn't need to pull the ladder up, there's no real choice in that challenge but to betray the people you just cooperated with.)

Keeping Gabby is the wild card would be a BIG plus for the villains alliance. They can take the heroes by surprise and pick off people and masquerade it as someone elses vote because no one knows about Gabby's decision. Like taking out Aiden and act like Jake voted him, Jake by making it Aiden or Tom, Allie by using Jake and vice-versa. This is THE opportunity!
I can see Gabby going either way. For example, Gabby going villain could result in self-implosion, especially since she is part of the Izzy archetype, which type of character are prone to get mishandled and sometimes randomly too. While people want to see villain Gabby, Gabby could, after blowing of some steam and getting out impulses, could reel herself in. She has reeled in. Hence, why she sought Tom (not Ellie) for help in the remake subplot.

@@Ale_Creates It's a show, meant for entertainment. Liking villains for "owning it" doesn't mean you align with their views or behavior, it means they're doing their job of making a show engaging. Blue team is the dullest of them all in that regard, I almost feel like fastforwarding all their scenes, and now they're recycling the same tired JakexTom storyline but with the staff team instead.

When it comes to money, economics theory is one thing, but in practice, it's very different.
Imagine Ellie is 2 Million dollars in debt. Getting 1 Million dollars isn't going to make much of a dent in that debt, so I doubt she'd lose Gabby for that. However, getting 3 Million dollars, would pay off her debt and then some. That could be a reason why she's considering 3 Million and not 1 Million.
So there's way more variables with prize money than JUST happiness. It would be like calculating how much water is on earth by measuring how much water is in the oceans; You're leaving out so many other relevant variables.
Hah, sure! If you can show me Ellie is two million in debt I will retract my statement. But I'm pretty sure 1 million was already a life-changing amount for Ellie in season 1 ;)

We know she wants to go to school for fashion (I believe), and as most adults know, school fees are no joke (not even including rent, food costs, transit, etc.). And $1M would likely just be enough to get her through college, then she's back to square 1, as if she didn't even win.
However, something most people forget, is the fact that since Disventure Camp takes place in Canada, she would be taxed for the winnings, as it would be considered income, meaning $1M is more like $500k, and $3M is like $1.5M.
So if we consider your graph as gospel, if you include tax deficits, the difference between the two is less, but the locations on your graph would have a larger difference, so even if you don't consider other factors, her considering $3M over $1M is still realistic.

While Yul deserves all the karma he is owed, I will stuck up with him slightly over firing Emily. The whole “lick the spicy abs” was going too far. While Yul has shown some actual affection for Grett early on, there is a difference between someone doing that on their own accord and being subjected to do something sexually that someone isn’t okay with. So, I’ll agree with Yul that a line was crossed.

As far as what we've witnessed with the events that has led to Gabby suddenly channeling her dark side, I can only imagine one scenario of her joining the alliance becoming a reality (Please don't spoil me, I wasn't asking for anything).
Most of the group may be reluctant to have Gabby on board, especially Grett because the last time they worked together Gabby ultimately betrayed her in favor of her love for Ellie. The only person I think she can get through with the team is likely Riya, considering that Gabby was a big fan of her career. Riya was indifferent to the praise, but there is one thing that might spark her interest. Riya has grown rather annoyed with Aiden who keeps pushing for an apology about that near-death experience, and Gabby wants revenge on Aiden for his part in having Ellie voted off the island. Considering they both dislike Aiden for different reasons, and because Riya is most dangerous when she's in control, she could arrange a deal with Gabby:
If Gabby either somehow finds a way to convince the team to have Aiden voted off (If this is the plan for the next episode) or if she can at least find a means that Aiden will be forced to leave the game due to a 'freakish, tragic accident', then Riya may just 'consider' having Gabby join the alliance. Of course, if going by that theory, and given what we've seen Riya do throughout the show, she's not likely going to keep her promise. But so long as she keeps Gabby under her thumb and uses Gabby's insecurities to her own benefits, it will only prove again that Riya is both a dangerous adversary and thus an additional reason for us to despise her.
I don't get it. What makes Yul likable to you but not Ellie or Riya? 😅
The Aiden Among us really got me-
Derek's name badge was - while the wrong way around for looking at it normally - the correct way round for the monitor he communicated with the contestants on.
(Side note - The challenge is one I'd dislike if it was part of an actual show, the first part was irrelevant to the outcome, but as a showcase of the current team dynamics worked well. The second part of the challenge was fun and aesthetically it was great. It worked for a scripted show based on competitive reality formats, but it would be bad as a competitive reality challenge)

You do have a point about the scene with Ellie and her relationship with money. While some people will argue that Ellie already said she wouldn’t chose Gabby over the money via the personal greetings, I think you are on to something about Ellie having bigger issues that may never get addressed, even if she comes back .
Based on how episode 10 of remake played, I’ve speculated if Ellie has self-esteem issues. Even prior to this episode, I have questioned Ellie being the most desperate to win the money as well as a sense of selfishness and noted distrust she has for almost everyone, which she tested the waters a little with even her GF, Gabby, this season.
I think Trevor inserted stock footage of a space ship to make it look cool since he is canonically editing the episodes

I get the argument with unnamed friend with Jake and Ashley. The last time Jake was like this was the remake finale at the loser motel where Tom was refusing to talk to him as well to show Jake can me more self-depreciating Unlike the remake finale, Jake was more self-pitying this episode. With Jake being toxic in that morning scene with Ashley, something felt a little emotionally manipulative from him.
i think gabby or the villain alliance will sooner or later reveal tom‘s lie about a boyfriend which will make him seem untrustworthy. i want ally, tess and aiden eliminated finally😭😭😭

Over the past couple to several episodes, I’ve been getting the impression that Ellie is supposed to more of an intentionally hated character on the show’s part this season, like how Jake was with in remake (with the show arguably indirectly admitting that with Trevor’s recap in episode 11) and Yul (both season). Thus, I almost feel like Tom’s over excitement at the elimination was possibly meta-commentary over how the show really felt when they finally could vote her off.
