  • Here is an example of one of our steady state days in beautiful San Diego and how that can be coxed. We kept a low rate and threw in a few power 10's. I tend to talk a less on steady state pieces to allow the boat to run and focus. I say things when they are needed, to inform the crew, and to keep them accountable.
For reference, my rowers are bow: Maddie, 2: Olivia, 3: Jordan, 4: Amber, 5: Hammonds, 6: Catherine, 7: Jessica, 8:Kelly

Cox Talks by Cat Sheffler i just became a coxswain so i’m trying to figure out what to say during steady state drills to help my rowers improve their technique. i know how to cox race pieces but i’ve just been struggling with coxing them, especially since i’m in a 4 and i can’t see them

@@nadiasethuraman2550 i came here for the same exact thing. During peices when getting to the higher rate we tend to loose technical aspect and i want to work on different things to say to the rowers when doing steady state or peices
