    How come you multiply mm to inches, in multiplying different unit you need to covert either one of the two. 38.1mm x 10 inches this is what you did which is wrong . I hope you rectify your explanation.

      1.5 X diameter of pipe X 25.4 ( to convert it to MM ) = Take off in MM . Lols di mo gets ? Hahaha

      Boss ang formula kase is . 1.5 inch X 10 (diameter of pipe) X 25.4 = take off in MM .
      Ang ginawa nya is ganto . Inuna nya yung 1.5 X 25.4 = 38.1 . So to convert the take off of 10 inch to MM simply multiply 38.1 X 10 = take off in MM . I hope naintindihan mo po

    Easier way is to break the OD in half 4 times add 1 and 2nd number for 90, add 2-4 number for 45 .
    So 12,6,3,1.5 … 18 “ is takeoff for 12 lr 90,
    Another example , 6,3,1.5,.75, 3.75 is takeoff for 6 inch 45.

    Magandang araw kabayan. Matagal na akong laging nakasubaybay sa mga lecture mo. Ako po ay Quantity Surveyor Pero Wala po akong alam sa sa piping. Pwede po bang mag paturo kung paano mag estimate using inch dia at inch meter at paano piniprepare para sa reporting. Yan po kasi ang tanong sa akin ng interviewer na Hindi ko nasagot. Salamat kabayan at saka God less.

    boss baka pede nyo ma share san ba at panu nakuha un take off na 38.1 sa 90 at 15.8 sa 45 elbow.. gusto ko lang talaga malaman may list na ako dati nyan kaso nawala sya at di ko natandaan

      yang 38.1mm na convert yan mula sa 1.5 inch (1 inch = 25.4mm). Bali 1.5 x 25.4 = 38.1mm, the same sa 45 elbow 5/8in or 0.625in, 0.625 x 25.4 = 15.875

    For 90s: Long radius is x1.5 of pipe diameter. Short radius IS the diameter of pipe. So a 6" 90 long radius has a 9" takeout. A 6" 90 short radius would have a 6" take out. Simple. Not complicated

    Dude, why make it SO complicated? Very simple. 1.5 X pipe size. ex. 6" pipe, 6"× 1.5= 9".

      Raduis of the 90 degree elbow, R= 50% of diameter of the elbow + diameter of the elbow. R=.5d + d; R= 1.5d.
