The old trick used to be to call a 4 man line out on your throw but only put 2 men in the line out - if the opposition followed your call instead of seeing how many men you'd really put in the line out then they'd concede a penalty - easy 3 points

Most teams these days are expecting the rolling maul from the lineout and are therefore prepared for it. With a bit of imagination and guile this video shows it's quite possible to catch the opposition out with a well constructed set piece move. This begs the other question: Why aren't sides more inventive at lineout time - especially when they are just 5-10 metres from the try line?

One person's inventive is another person's risky
Sure, top level teams might have scouts and backrooms that analyse what their opposition will do in the next match... But walking into a lineout, you're weighing up a lot of factors and sometimes Bread&Butter (down and drive or off the top) looks like the best play against a side that seems to be reading your game and not buying your dummies
