Nice set up,hopefully in the near future I’ll have something similar.👍
Oh my days 😂big Pauly your cat wears the trousers in that house hold talk about luxury it took over the room 😂
Scary Terry ! Yes haven’t you ever heard the ole saying “Dogs have Masters, Cats have Servants!” Lol
Good stuff and received my group buy DVD. Will be hitting up for some more. Thanks and keep the great videos rolling
Congratulations! You finally did it.
great video. I picked up that same player few weeks ago and its great. you can change the hdr settngs too through the remote. Cool little demo video. Keep up the great vids.
bluraymadness Yes I spotted the HDR button after a little while!
Hooray for you Pauly you've got a lovely setup there love the 65 ince 4k tv and 4k player. Such a lovely picture but I can only guess the real quality looking through my 1080p hd monitor lol.
I'm watching your TV on my TV, lol. Good picture 4k has.
Getting really tempted by 4K now. The more I see of it the more tempted I become. I guess the January sales might be a good opportunity to get started on that. Great to see the setup Pauly. Also when will you be drawing Dunkirk UV code?
You can pickup a 4k player for as cheap as £127 at the moment. This is a non-frills player but the image is stunning. Will draw the uv code today!
BigPauly That cheap? Where have you seen one for that price? Curry's?
Tom Rice Yes both Curry’s and John Lewis
BigPauly Cheers. Will look into that
Got mine wall mounted and it's 75inches TV in try to adjust the contrast or balance that may inpove the picture on the phone and TV
Nice set up Pauly, are you going to upgrade the sound - soundbar, surround?
Your new television looks great. Is it one of the quantum-dot featuring ones? Just interested in what impact quantum dots might have. Thanks, Andrew
Andrew Cholerton I don’t know if that’s what they call it but also have a look at my Dirty Screen Effect Video too!
BigPauly hi, will do. Thanks for the reply. Regards, Andrew
Nice set up Pauly 👍 but I don't think much of the nibbles lol
101 steel Haha let’s just hope I don’t start licking my own ass! Lol
BigPauly 😂😂😂
Pauly You mentioned you only have 2 4K discs but haven't you got the Dunkirk 4K disc in the steelbook?
TRACY BROOKS Yes you’re absolutely right must test that one this weekend!
So for right now it’s 4K OR 3D? If you get a 4K TV you can’t watch 3D movies ? I’m curious about the HDR and you certainly seem happy and impressed Paul but I’m not giving up my 3D right anytime soon. I’ll make the jump when they combine the two. Nice haircut BTW. LOL
Steve Ciani Yes I’ve got the 3D setup in the cinema room and 4K downstairs so I’ve got the best of both worlds. There’s no 3D on the tv anyway so I’m happy with my setup!
You *can* get players that do 4K and 3D and also there is at least one TV that does (a 65" one a friend just bought) but they ain't cheap... and 3D is practically dead in the USA (the biggest market) so you may have to move fast - they are unlikely to combine the two generally as 3D was specifically dropped from the 4K standard so there is no such thing as 3D 4K, only the potential to do one or the other with one box/TV :(
Justin Key I think our only hope is what HMV have been doing with Spider-Man Homecoming and Apes, releasing 4K,3d and BR in one package. At least you’re covered with all the main formats that way.
Dont you have Alien Covenant HMV steelbook thats got 4k disk in.
Duncan Scott No I don’t own that Edition
Is that the panasonic for £129 from currys??..i was gunna get that but the man said it was very basic and not to bother, no wi-fi etc. But looks ok to me.
Andrew Leyland Yes there’s no wifi so you’d need to be hard wired for things like Netflix. I’m only gonna need a connection for firmware update so can easily disconnect the cable after the software is updated.
BigPauly iv already got netflix etc on my 4k smart tv but the bloke in currys really put me off from buying it. 😔
Andrew Leyland He probably wants you to spend £300-400 on a better player. It’s all in the sales I think! As a basic 4k player the image is stunning and if you can live without all the extras it’s a great starter price.
BigPauly iv got a budget of £200 but fancied that 1. He actually never talked me into trying to get another, just told me to avoid that 1. Im still looking 😒.
Andrew Leyland There’s the Panasonic UB400 for around £180 this one does have the wifi
jeez mate you should got better tv brand all picture settings looked poor to me compared my samsung QLED Q7F 49inch that tv looks like shit but my tv cost nearly £1.200 picture is flawless out the box
brian cufc27 This was the faulty tv with the banding that I sent back. Although you can’t see it from watching from the outside, the picture was very good despite the problems. Plus I hadn’t perfected all the settings at the time. The tv was replaced with the same model and is way better than the old one. The 4K picture is incredible so I’m very happy.
BigPauly thats all you can ask for mate just ive allways swore by samsung tvs think there amazing really wanting new QLED Q9 when it realises but ive not got room big enough for 65inch but 49still looks big in my room were have my tv setup
brian cufc27 Yeh I just wanted to go bigger but I am happy with my purchase though. One day hopefully I’ll be able to afford an OLED.
You. Can't even see the full size 65 inch big Pauly on videos and photos it makes it look small 😂but it's not trust
your sitting far to close to your tv you should be atleast 9feet away from 65inch tv if not more
brian cufc27 Probably so but can’t as how the furniture is set out. We’ve always sat in the same spot.
BigPauly think 65 is to big for room size you got your losing lot fine detail when watching 4k a 43 or 49 or 50 at push would work in that room im tv fitter so im trained to advise people on the perfect tv for the living space
brian cufc27 Thanks for the info, I used to have a 55 inch Samsung. I think we’re probably sitting between 7-9 feet from the tv as we don’t use the sofa end near the screen
Welcome to the 4K bandwagon - be prepared to be disappointed. A part from the odd film, most UHD Blu-rays look only marginally better than their HD Blu-ray counterparts. In some cases, they look worse - looking at you Oblivion... The only real benefit is Atmos, though you do find the odd gem such as Sicario - which actually does look the bees knees in 4K.
