  • Keynote Panel: Towards Better ESG Reporting - What Needs to Change?
The industry is doing ESG reporting, but is it doing it well?
    Issues discussed include:
    - What makes for a best practice ESG Report? What differences, if any, should there be between how, say, an exploration junior and a major reports?
    - Why is there no single industry ESG reporting standard?
    - What regulatory and industry guidance is there?
    - Dealing with competing demands from different stakeholders - investors, customers, rating agencies - all requiring ESG information to be parcelled up in slightly different ways
    - Avoiding the common mistakes of greenwashing and green hushing
    - Should the miner’s ESG reports be audited?
    - Reporting scope 1, 2,3 and 4 emissions
