Westies are usually such well behaved dogs ❤ My mom’s almost 15 yo westie stands still for his grooming, twice a week bath, daily pills and skincare (for his dermatitis). I call him a saint cause I’d flip if I had to go through his daily routine 😅

Love my westie. One thing I wasn't anticipating when I started grooming her several years ago was just how much fur they have on thier little bodies. Also just how much work it takes to groom the just right so they have the westie messy fur look, but not sloppy.

You can go to Sally’s or any beauty supply and show them that spray bottle. I’ve seen it before but can’t remember the name

What breed is that? It certainly can't be a westie if it's sitting still while taking a noisy clipper to the paws. Nope, that's not like either of my boys at all.
HAHA At first I was like, “what the heck? of course it is a Westie, look at him” then read the part about the clippers. Which is exactly what I thought as I watched the video. None of my westies have ever sat still through a grooming. Melodramatic bellowing and other theatrics is more the norm lol
Don't any groomers strip Westies rather than just clip?
There are videos online with hand stripping techniques. Yes, stripping is the best option for them however clippers are fine if they aren’t show dogs. My westie came from a breeder that has breeded westies for over 30 years and also showed her dogs so she showed me how to hand strip but she did tell me it’s time consuming and can be uncomfortable for the dog so don’t put the dog through that if you don’t have to
