- Very rusty and broken trench pocket knife restoration. This knife lay underground for 105 years. It was lost at the end of the First World War. I found this broken knife at the site of a German military camp. A handmade knife made by a soldier. The blade of the knife was broken. I decided to restore a pocket knife. I removed the rust and made a knife blade. I hope you liked my restoration.

Not sure that I’d call this a restoration but rather a well done crafting of a new knife using scrapes of a WW1 knife
I used everything that could be used)
Exactly.
That was not a restoration, it is like a resurrection sir, beautiful piece of of work in my opinion, thank you for the video.
Fantastic rebuild on that WW1 pocket knife!
the blade came out superb, perfect grinding, and thin behind the edge. You are a master
I love the fact that you basically did a new knife. great work
Even if you can’t make them usable or the same as they were, it’s interesting to watch the process of finding and restoring these relics.
What a beautiful knife! Looks so much better
Video is an impressive demonstration of skilled restoration, as the rusty and broken knife is brought back to life after being buried underground for over a century.
Not much original left, but the end result is a nice knife.
Cooool again ❤😮
Thanks!
Hello mister beautiful knife good job well done
Thank you!
I think you did a great job saving what you could of the original, it looks great!
Thanks!
Beautiful knife 👍👍😍😍
Great work.
Excellent !
Excellent outcome! Interesting that you made it a single bevel!
Good work!! I liked your approach to making a good blade without resorting to heavy forging. That being said - the knife was originally so far gone that what you did is basically a re-build, not a restoration - the only original parts left are the brass liners and bolsters...
You did your very best! I enjoyed watching the proces, so continue ;-))
Outstanding work. Very satisfying restoration 👍👍
Amazing 😮 beatiful and great 👍👏🗡️ Congratulations and Greetings from Belgium 😉🇧🇪👋
Perfect
Great work
Thanks!
super
Amazing job keep it up
Love it. Beautiful.
The end result is very interesting and valuable 👍🏻, but the title ...
"Making a replica, modeled on ..." 😀.
The absolute satisfaction I get out of watching your videos is amazing. Keep up the great work my friend.
thanks!
Nice
So beautiful indeed!
Wow !!! Masterfully done !!!
You've done it proud.
I love seeing you give old items new life, by doing so you honor the original creator. ❤
Very nice work considering you hadn't much material to work with.
That is a great understatement! I can’t believe what he did with so very little!
That was one excellent rebuild. I take it that knife will not be going to a trench!
)))
It's not a restoration, it's a remake.
Красота
Beau travail, félicitations !
“It’s perfect”
Amazing
👍 handsome
Do you ever sell this stuff? If definitely be interested in this knife.

I used everything that could be used)
I’m really sad that there isn’t a way to salvage the actual blade
The blade was broken 100 years ago
I certainly do admire the skill and dedication, but absolutely not a “restoration”
What was the point in cleaning that old one if you replace every freaking part?
Difficult to assess what is salvageable until everything is cleaned up.
