I’m so happy I found your channel. I have a 5year old and his interest are changing. It’s been getting overwhelmed with all the stuff. I’d admit I’m a little nervous to get rid of his old interests because he use to love those things so much, what if he wants them back. But I’m motivated and excited .
Carson is getting so big! Can’t believe he is almost 6! 🌼 Looks like he loves how organized his cards are. 🌼

Catherine I use qtips on my window tracks cause I too don’t want to stick my fingers in the hard to reach corners!!!

My boys and their dad were avid sports card collectors! They are grown now but it was a part of the childhood they loved! I don’t have a steamshot, I use that rubber maid scrubber and it works great in window tracking.😊
I totally forgot about that scrubber and now I want one!
The boys are growing so fast. They are so cute! Your such a good mom and I bet he was so happy to be involved with the organization of his room. My kids loved to change their room around

Carson's room looks great 👍. He has gotten so tall. I do remember your old house and him being a baby and you worked out of the house full-time and he went to daycare full-time. Time has really got to slow down!

I didn't really like using steam shot either, it was too messy. I bought a paint brush from the Dollar Tree and used that to loosen up the dirt and vacuumed the dirt up. Then I used a damp cloth and some q tips to finish it up. I can't believe how grown up Carson looked, I've been watching you since he was just walking. 😊

Living in the Northeast we have tons of junk in our window tracks from the weather, I use mine but I feel this job is the time to use the Clorox spray, green bottle I spray the tracks let it sit and it is amazing how it cleans, I make sure to use wet paper towels to wipe it well and toss those since there is chemicals in the Clorox, especially good for the corners! I hate touching that stuff as well. I found the Clorox works best. Carson's room looks fantastic, seem like there is more space the way you have it setup. Great video!
Good tips!! I really don’t like cleaning window tracks, ours get really bad and I feel like it happens so quick!
@@CatherineElaine I hate it as well, if you let the clorox sit a while then try your steamer on the tracks, it helps get that corner gunk out with less scrubbing. I love your channel! Beautiful boys!
I use a toothbrush for those crevices. Warm water and Dawn Power Wash. My windows looked like that a year or two ago. There were two jobs with my spring cleaning that reminded me why spring cleaning is so important. That is one of them. You guys probably have a bigger problem than I do because you live in a region with a lot of snow. I live in the South with lots of sunshine all year.
Yes I think it’s the yucky winter weather we get that makes them so bad! Someone else said a toothbrush too so I’m going to try that!
I find the electric cleaning brush works best. I have a brush head for the sinks and one for window tracks. Steam shot is just in my opinion a maintenance tool. Not for heavy dirt like I get after cold winters. I like my microfiber towels but I use paper towels for these projects because it's so yucky!

Goodness I can't believe how big Carson is. Remember when he was smaller than Sutton when you all were at your old house & even at the apartment. Time flies...
I usually do dry brush & vaccum intermittently to loosen everything up & then steam clean. Maybe this will work for you too?

I’ve notice Target’s really been raising the prices of their affordable mid-range items. A $15 lamp is $50 now
This is so soothing to watch and what excellent habits you’re teaching your son! Wish i’d learned at his age lol
The window tracks are my least favorite! I would use a clean paint brush to get into those cracks to break up the dirt. You can use soap and dawn powerwash and then wipe down with cloth. Works better and keeps Mess down 😊
You can include him during your decluttering to help him learn how to keep things in place at all times.
Honestly it sounds like a good idea but he doesn’t want to declutter anything, even if he hasn’t touched it in years, so it’s better I go through it and then have him help me organize! When he gets a little older I’ll be able to include him more I’m sure!

We have car detailing brushes that I use. But I hear a Qtip works well too 😂
I don’t have clothes in my car but I do have Amazon boxes full of things to donate in a closet for 6+ months at a time and as soon as get them out I’ll have another box started 🤣
Wash the window tracks and areas with an OLD toothbrush in very warm pine Sol and dawn water.
Catherine, you're not alone. I wanted to donate some old purses to get the tax credit(SD) for donating, that was 2022. The bags have been in my car since last summer. 😂

I would try a Microfiber with a brush, I’m going to try myself my sliding glass windows, windows…..( when it gets cooler, lol)…..

Hi Catherine, I think Carson has a really nice room, simple and boyish. If Carson is upset that he can't keep all his artwork why doesn't he take a photo of his pictures, you can then keep them on a usb or memory card, these are less messy and take up less room to store. Can't believe how big Caron is now!!!! 😆

I ended up getting rid of my steam shot because it just didn’t work like I thought it should.
