-DO NOT TRY THIS. IT WILL MOST LIKELY LEAD TO SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH-
A quick run I took after a group ride. Board running as a board should run. 79 MPH free spin.
I've seen too many people dying on these things lately. No person or board is above full safety equipment. Helmet at minimum every ride.
You always make my workday so much nicer with your jams and awesome overlay 😎👍
Thank you, Jimmy. Much appreciated!
Absolute Chad
I'd love to make a board like this, unfortunately my lack of knowledge, tools, and funding will always hold me back. At least I still downhill to quench my thirst for speed.
Not making a board like this saves you from certain death
@@ankieb3980 this is a pretty negative thing to say about someone that is literally breaking boundaries in this community and I'm pretty sure many of other people said the same thing about people who wanted to fly planes in the beginning ride motorcycles in the beginning things of that nature the key to it is not getting out here and trying to emulate something you see somebody else doing without having that type of experience or know how. This man knows what he is doing. and he will only get better. Good day to you brother peace and blessings.
You know what actually I think it's probably cheaper to build your own board like this my problem is not knowing where to start as far as getting the information that you would need to even begin this journey. 🤦🏼♂️
That lean in the mid 50’s is insane!
It feels really nice tbh. Terrifying, but nice.
It's summertime in Colorado! Awesome content, thanks.
Love it how your reinventing style and posture for riding at speed. Keep up the good work 👍
This is inventing. This is how you ride an electric channel truck board on 8" pneumatic tires at 60+ while holding a selfie stick and achieving stable footage.
@@wiggpickle I still vividly remember the first time I was told Channel trucks are no good at speed, and how I keep seeing it repeated on sites. Or the number of times I get told I need to Tuck to go faster. But yeah, I can’t hold a selfie stick at speed. That shit is some voodoo!
Same. I heard a lot of nonsense and that's what fueled me to build this board. People don't generally know what they're talking about.
Ma boi Heath goin up mtn roads at 50mph passing cars! I can't keep up on the EXN 🤩
I've hit 33mph going downhill on my zealot s and it was terrifying, fun but terrifying. I can't imagine 60+ mph. I know the board is made for it and you're clearly a WAY better rider but damn dude that has got to be exhilarating. Love watching your videos man. Stay safe.
Holy crap!!!! That's moving!!!
He on x games mode I go 25mph on my backfire board and I be scared shitless
I'd shit myself if I saw some dude on a skateboard overtake me @ any speed 40mph+
Awesome!!! :) What knee pads do you use?
Thank you. These are Leatt Dual Axis Knee and Shin Guards. Highly recommended.
you rocking anything for hip protection?
I have padded shorts. I would like something heavier around the hips, but don't know of many options.
Sick bro.whats the battery Charge at the end of the ride?
Voltage was 80.5 at the start and 77 at the end. Something like 15 - 18 percent drop in battery percentage.
beautiful! It seems you have quite some weight on youre back foot??? 18S4P???
Thank you. I have good bit of weight on my back foot, especially through the turns. The rear has less steering angle in it and is inherently more stable to place your weight on. You also need your weight on the rear when braking, so yeah, I guess I spend a lot of time towards the rear of the board. 20S6P. 4P cant provide enough amperage for a high performance board, in my experience.
@@wiggpickle huge pack! 😂 Do you ride harder bushings in the back and softer in the front to compensate for speedwoble? Or do the Hypertrucks just don’t give a sh…?
Love your posts my guy, really makes me think of a set up like this as well, do you think having a propel edeavour independent suspension system as the base for a similar set up would help with the handling at those high speeds? I was thinking of the irregularities in the pavement as well and the way I see it, in theory, it should absorb the shock while minimizing the possibility of speed wobbles. Been wondering this for a while now and who better to ask than you :))
He has stooge 3links trucks. Nothing beat the stability and maneuverability that these provide at high speed. Spring trucks make more sense offroad.
Who has stooge trucks??
Thank you! There are a few things about the Propel that would expel it from this type of riding. The suspension doesn't have the rigidity it would take to achieve these speeds. I have modified Lacroix Hypertrucks. They're extremely rigid and allow for no fluctuation in wheel alignment. They move on one axis only. A more advanced suspension system than what is currently on the market is needed to achieve high speeds. The deck is also too short for high speeds.
Another cool video there Heath. Can I ask you about your ride style, it seems you have your arms folded.... is there a special reason for this, or just the way you find comfortable?
Don't speak for Heath ofcos but at those speeds, I doubt you'd want to be flaying flinging your arms around esp if one has to hold a 6ft selfie stick as well
Thank you. My front hand is holding a 5 foot selfie stick. I press the stick and my remote arm against my body to stabilize the camera and my torso.
How do you like the flux compared to the lacroix?
The only thing Flux about this is the deck and enclosure. The deck and enclosure are closest to what I needed for my build. They're great. Not boutique level materials, quality, etc., but great.
@@wiggpickle Makes sense going with the flux for high speed stability. I'm curious why you run belt drive? Seems like most high speed folks are moving to gear drive. Is there something you prefer about belts?
Limited options for hypertruck gear drives. Most or all using plastic gears, which I don't trust at this power and speed. I prefer the ability to quickly change gearing with the belt drive. I would prefer gears, I just don't see a good enough option on the market currently.
@@wiggpickle Makes sense - it's tough to beat the flexibility and variety of options that belt drives enable.
Just wondering why don't have a brace for the back foot?
Because I'm too scared lol
@@wiggpickle to scared i would think that would make it safer because its easier to stay on the board
