Wilson Combat flatwire spring/Kynshot fit problem? Did WC change something?

  • I've received several reports in the last few days that people are having problems fitting the Wilson Combat Carbine Flatwire spring on wide-body Kynshot hydraulic buffers. It should slide right in without any problem. I show how they should fit using my Wilson Combat springs and Kynshot buffers.
    I wear ear plugs, or muffs, or both, in every shooting video.

    I got the RB5015HD buffer and Wilson Combat spring in today, and it is too tight. When I compress the spring after it's on the buffer, it does not return to fully relaxed. Although when it is compressed a certain amount, the spring widens and allows the buffer to slip through the coils like it should. I wonder if it would be compressed enough in the buffer tube at its longest point where it wouldn't be an issue. the only way to check would be if you take one of your buffer tubes with cuts for your slow mo video and rack the bolt slowly and watch the spring around the buffer.

    • @Blowback9
      @Blowback9  Před 3 měsíci +2

      Possibly, but that's not optimal. It should slip right in with very little effort. WC still hasn't gotten back to me....

    Could I use a dremel to bore out the inside of a flatwire spring so it can fit over a kynshot 5015? I am from Canada where our parts availability is mediocre and the strike industries spring is the only flatwire available to me. It would only need like 0.01” removed.
