OH, I'm crying. You guys, I LOVE your zeal for nostalgia! My mom, Marielen (sounds like "Mary Ellen") Christensen is the lady who started the ball rolling on an industry of stores that sold scrapbooking supplies as such officially, back in the 80s and 90s: 1981 as The Annex and then about 1995 as Keeping Memories Alive, in Spanish Fork here in Utah. And even though I don't have the fortitude to make my own scrapbooks, her general appreciation for the preservation and other care of memorabilia has definitely rubbed off onto me, so I love doing it even though my photos typically go unbooked. But I surely shoot a lot of video for our later watching, and though I haven't yet tried having those of my childhood toys that she still has at her house restored, I love the idea of it! So all this nostalgic stuff that you show really has me appreciate you as a couple!
Remember playing H.E.R.O. On my friends c64 (breadbox version). In the autumn at his room. Time stood still 😊😊😊❤️❤️❤️
His father opened the door , guess to see if we’re still was alive 😁 first thing he’s commented was the room was warm, and going over to turn the oven off. But it was off.
The heat was from the crt-tv , the c64 transformer and us. 😄

I am a USAer and I like saying "happy Christmas" just to be consistent with the other holidays. We say "happy" for all the other ones that are meant to be cheery, don't we? So why break away from those just for Christmas?
But yes, our big Christmas celebration a month ago was really nice, and I hope yours was too!
Tuned in to watch another Retro Xmas special, about half way through I said to a partner “ just how much this channel brings back memories” and just as I said that up popped my photo of me playing my old spectrum 48k, thanks guys for doing that you have truly made my Xmas special.

Neighbours when it started was actually on the BBC at 12 30 and repeated at 17 30 on BBC one before it was moved to Channel 5 after the BBC cancelled it due to lack of viewers.
Archer Maclean also died on Christmas Eve. The guy was an absolute legend and a the games were a big part of our lives as we grew up. Dropzone was just an epic shooter... IK+ was just fantastic. I loved Mercury on the PSP, a great variant of Marble Madness.

I’m so very sorry for your loss. I read through RR’s comments usually anyway, but more so when Harleyfractic helps with a PCBWay spot. (I read some comments to her and answer questions if they pop up.) Anyway, I saw your comment and I just wanted to tell you that empathize with your loss and I hope you have a chance to celebrate your bestie’s life and keep them close to you as time goes by.
I lost my fiancé in 2004. Sometimes, I swear I can feel her presence in dreams. My parents are both gone now too. It’s important to keep them in your present when you can. Sure there will be moments of melancholy, but the good times and the love will keep them right there with you. At any rate, even though we’ve never met, there’s some silly man in Ohio (that’s me) that just wanted to say that I hope you are doing okay and to keep your friend with you every day.

The Retro Show is always fun. This episode was even more nostalgically fantastic. (Not saying that because Harleyfractic & I happened to pop in there haha) but I’ve been sort of down lately and in need of something that reminds me of the fun & warm times that I recall.

So good to see a TCR at 15:52, I wasn't cool enough for Scalextric, but I had something FAR better, which, er, no-one remembers anymore. TOTAL CONTROL RACING. Where you could CHANGE LANES! And also overtake the slooooow jam-car. Anyway, that lorry model was also available separately as I had one myself and it was my prized possession! I loved the 'paint-job' on it, with the red cab and yellow and orange stripes. So much so, I'm actually trying to recreate the colour scheme on my Mister Multisystem case without even revealing the subliminal reference!

Well talk about being late to the party, i've only just got round to watching this, I've been meaning to watch it since you put it out, but better late than never eh? 😀
Fantastic video, that made me feel like it was Christmas all over again, but a better Christmas like it used to be in the 80's, when I can remember getting my very first C64 off my parents that came with tons of games (which I still own, a silver label machine too!!). One Christmas when I was probably about 8 years old, my parents got me (sorry Santa got me😀) Optimus Prime, and we have a photo somewhere of me sat in my PJ's early that Christmas morning unwrapping it with glee, ha ha, great memories!!
This video made me feel warm and fuzzy several times, and your channel touches on everything I love about retro, not just the games, but the classic TV like Knight Rider, and the other greats of the time which I love, that are related too like Airwolf, Street Hawk, The A-Team etc...the 80's was such an amazing time for Computers, films and TV, much better than today in my opinion!!
Even Astro Wars is a fave toy of mine, which I had as a kid, then one silly day, I felt the urge to swap it for something else with a friend of mine, I can't remember what I swapped it for, but it was clearly nowhere near as cool as Astro Wars! I ended up re buying it from flea bay several years ago, and I have a video on my YT here, of me completing it and getting 10,000 points, not on a difficult setting though ha ha...what a great retro electronic game to play even now, it's still loads of fun, and the sounds are great...could do with a volume setting though as it's so bloody loud, and probably the reason why I never used to play on it late at night as a kid, for fear of waking my family up, eeeee happy days 😀
