  • Experience the spectacular beauty of Washington's grandest mountain. One of the best if not the best day hikes in the Paradise area of the park. This is the clockwise loop as you get to see the mountain in-your-face the whole way up. If done counterclockwise, coming down on the steeper side can be tough on the knees. But truly magnificent scenery from both directions so there's really no wrong way to go around the loop. It's just a matter of personal preference. This hike will reward you with all sorts of panoramic terrain, meadows, moonscapes, peaks and valleys, and of course the star of the show - the majestic Mt. Rainier.
This hike will give you an unforgettable experience. That picturesque iconic vantages and views you want your friends to also experience when they visit from out of town. If you only have time for one hike, this is the one! Happy hiking!

Another great video! Thanks for posting. I noticed you did the trail clockwise. Are the views better? How did you decide on taking the trail clockwise? Many thanks.

We like the clockwise route better because Rainier is more in your face unobstructed on the way up. Also, the meadows are beautiful in the morning, and fewer clouds covered the peak that day. Counterclockwise is also beautiful featuring Myrtle falls in the beginning, then wildflower meadows, then that moonscape like landscape going up. Really, it's a matter of personal preference. You won't go wrong either way. Thank you for stopping by and watching our video. Have a good time hiking and happy trails! 😊

Hi thanks for this video, it looks amazing! May I know what time you started the hike?

Around 10 in the morning. If you can get there earlier, the better so you can get a good parking spot. Happy trails! ❤

Hasn't it been made illegal to film this national park now without a permit?

How about doing it in second week of June

    • @alrosewanderquest

In June, there's still snow that covers much of the ground, and the rivers are running strong with melting snow. It is best to check the weather forecast and check the current trail conditions through its website before leaving home. You know what they say, "The Mountain makes its own weather."
