Meet The Gaffer #323. A chat with Nils about the new liquid cooled fresnel that sports a removable light engine! www.us.rosco.com/en/products/brand/dmg-lighting
We’ll have to see where it lands and how it gets implemented. Not all units are designed for all kinds of production. There are a number of impressive design elements that may inform future products. What I love about DMG is that they are doing their best to move the industry forward while staying in touch with the past. The full color fresnel from Velvet lighting was a precursor: with DMXable focus. Most competitors have gone with large fans, so this is an interesting step, not unlike the Cineo R15, but not quite that ballsy. 😀
Removing the LED was straight Ghostbusters.
Thank you Luke for stopping by our booth and creating this video. Can't wait to show you the final version of DMG LION !
That beam angle system is absolutely impressive!
That light engine removal was the sickest thing i have seen in a while
Hey Luke, I like your approach... "it will get lighter right?" 😂 - and YEAH, hands on always the best test.
They should do different lenses like a par kit if att all feasible. Wide beams!
Impressive
Reminds me of a visionsmith set up....did he mention pricing...
I don’t know anything about pricing.
Approx 8000 USD list price with one light engine
Motorized spot and flood sounds like a problem in the not so distant future.
60 pounds 😂😢😢
That's...not that bright and...a tad too big
