- A 4K electric bike ride around Toronto. In this one I take The Union Folding Fat Tire Electric Bike by Movin out for a spin and offer my initial impressions. I start at College Park and head over to the Garrison Crossing. Recorded in 4K at 60 FPS with a GoPro Hero 9 Black.

Oh my...I have to put one of those e-bike's on my potential future e-bike list.....Movin' to the Grovin' on the roads...I'm getting up there in age so having an e-bike like that for those long uphill battles would be just fine.🤣

It looks like a much smoother ride. I think even the video is less bouncy. The larger tires should be safer on the tracks. All in all i like it. Stay safe and enjoy.

Get going from a stop by using the throttle for a moment and then start pedaling. Much smoother start that way
There is no zero start throttle on this bike. The same for my escooter (I can enable it via the app though). I don't mind the pedal start but I can see why some might.
Looks like a really good bike and its a local firm too. You could probably ride it in some snow too. Good range too.
I hope to take it out in the winter!

Love ebikes, especially considering I have knee issues from years ago playing football and hockey. Perhaps I missed something, but I thought you already purchased the bike. If you haven’t, I highly recommend you purchasing it.
I have purchased a different bike (that's shipping right now) but will probably pick this up too!
Seems cool but it makes me wonder. With large tires and an electric motor, is it a bicycle or is it a motorcycle. Do you have to wear a helmet? Can you use your cellphone while driving or parking? How long will it be before you need an M1 licence to operate it?
It's limited to 32kmh so for sure more of an ebike than anything. Helmets are optional but I wouldn't ride one without... and the same rules apply to driving so using your phone would be a pretty hefty ticket.
Nice! Your video is featured on their website. Electric bikes are nice but how comfortable are you leaving this bike outside if your running errands? I have a feeling that the lock will be cut in under 10 minutes if you leave it unattended. I purposely use a cheap folding bike because I know no one will steal it :)
It is? I saw them post on Insta, I can't find it on their site! I almost never leave my bikes unattended but yeah I'd be a bit wary leaving something worth this much out of sight!

Wow, with all your e-vehicles available you'll be out 24/7, and you will be able to explore Ontario...cottage country, Durham, Halton without effort. At $1600, it's very affordable. Nice, smooth video but that honker is loud and sharp which may scare timid pedestrians/cyclists. You should have used it on the knucklehead.
That should be your standard form of transportation - comfy, fast, smooth, much safer than the e-scooter.
They both serve their different purposes. I'll be making use of both for sure.

I am interested in getting something to give me confidence biking in ice/snow in the winter. Been enjoying riding so much during the summer I hate to stop for the snow season.
This is why I got this bike!! You can still use in the winter. Definitely the best ebike I have ever had.
I've got the Rize Fixie on order (being shipped) but I don't think that would be something I'll use in the winter or in harsher weather. The bike in this vid will probably be well suited to the winter IMO.

Been thinking about getting something like that. Does pedaling feel smooth. Is it hard on your legs.
It feels really smooth!! Not too hard on your legs. Definitely way easier going uphill than a regular bike.
The pedaling feels quite smooth and natural to me and you can increase the pedal assist. Like any bike getting going from a stop takes some effort but this was no different from my regular single speed.

Was this bike provided to you by the store/manufacturer? Not sure what product placement laws are like in Canada, or ditto for policies on CZcams, but either way you may want to consider disclosing that info up front in future videos. :)
I disclosed that I was taking the bike out for a test ride in the video. I wasn't compensated in any way (other than free use of the bike for an hour) and have always wanted to try something like this so I agreed to make a video with it. There's a box you have to check if it's a paid promotion before uploading anyway which this was not.
@@JohnnyStrides Good on ya! Yeah, didn't think you necessarily crossed a line per se, as again I'm not 100% clear on how those disclosures need to be navigated. Might be just a personal preference for those content creators that tend to have several products pushed on their respective channels to front-load that info, as oftentimes viewers cannot consume videos in their entirety, and they want to be transparent off the jump so as to avoid any misunderstandings when products are being integrated as the focal point of the video.
Having said all that, the bike looks great. I might have to check it out myself. :)

Not really IMO, it was more or less my first impressions.
Too much money for a bike.
I'd better buy a electric scooter 🛵 with that. Nobody would steal your moped, but they would sure steal a bike very easily..unless you chain it every time wich is a big headache.
I rarely leave my bike unattended so it's not really an issue for me. Price wise this is quite affordable relative to other bikes with similar specs.
