As a tony fan this is probably the most composed I've seen him. Visually speaking he looks much more in shape than his last few fights. I only hope he can put his training into action Saturday night.

Six years ago, Charles was ranked #8 in the FW division. To see him be the reigning, defending, LW champ now is surreal. What an incredible career.
For sure. And even before entering the ufc, he faced so much adversity. He had many diseases as a child. He says he didn't have what to eat properly until 18, and entered the ufc at 21, so his physic was not fully developed, not only because of his age, but also because of the bad conditions he lived as a young man.
tbh i wish we couldâve seen a khabib and charles or a charles vs mcgregor, but charles would smash the latter suggestion.

As a brazilian, I understand everything he says and every phrase he says is filled with class and finesse, even when he says he's gonna knock his opponent out. I donât speak a lick of Portuguese but he is still my favorite fighter. Through the translations and subtitles alone, in combination with reading his body language, he just radiates confidence and overall champion caliber. Plus you can just see how good of a person he is.

Regardless of what happens itâs a bit sad to see that Chandler Gaethje and especially Tony are nearing the end. And itâs going to be a whole new generation in the next year or two. 2016-2021 was the best 5 years IMO of the UFC

And it makes you so much more exited to see how Chandler vs Tony and Charles vs Justin plays out!
Huge Charles fan heâs back when I first started watching ufc with Anderson on top at the time. Charles deserve to be on top. Heâs literally climbed the ranks. You can see how much growth heâs done and continues to develop. I hope he continues his legacy and beats Justin although itâs Justinâs rightfully time too. They both worked hard to be where they are. I think Justin comes out hot as usually but Charles finds a way to a sub by the third. Regardless I hope itâs a good fight.

It's a long story, but basically he was very ill for many many years in his childhood, doctors said he wouldn't be able to walk again, he was very poor and lived in really bad conditions. He had a fucked up life back then. And this stone (not an egg lol) was a gift from his father, the David stone, and it would give him power to face adversities, like the David bible story. And somehow the stone helped him at that time. I'm not religious so for me, it's obviously just a psychological thing, maybe it's just a normal stone, but for him it has a deep meaning.

Everybody thinks itâs Gaethje by knockout or Charles by sub but people are overlooking Charlesâ power. I think heâll catch Gaethje with something that will stumble or drop him and then lock in a sub.
