Why I bought Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4k in 2021?

- This is not a review of Blackmagic pocket cinema camera 4K, it's my personal experience using the camera. Here, I am sharing some of my favorite clips which I shot with the camera in Kerala and parts of Tamil Nadu. I used Canon 1300D for the past 4 years and switched to BMPCC4K a year back after months of research. There were a lot of options for my budget like the Panasonic GH5s, Fujifilm XT4, Sony A7iii & Canon EOS R but BMPCC4k was perfect for my field of work. Three things which I used to refine the cameras were bitrate , bit depth and dynamic range. I shoot both handheld and with a gimbal. There are both 12:1 and 3:1 BRAW footages in this video and there are sample grades too. I share my rig setup in this video. Even in 2021, I can say that BMPCC4k is one of the best camera you can buy for video in its price range.

Every single video on your channel is amazingly shot with BMPCC 4K. Bro can you please share what export settings do you use on Davinci Resolve, because I've seen a lot of people exporting their BMPCC footage and uploading it on youtube and it ends up loosing it's quality. How to avoid ugly youtube compression?
I 'm still exploring the best export settings for youtube bro 😅 In premiere I export at a high bitrate 100+ and select VBR 2 pass. In davinci I just set the quality to "Best" when exporting. Both exported as MP4.

Being a Fuji XT3 user feeling little jealous about the raw video capability for pocket 4k. But I have to content with it because I need a hybrid camera.. One suggestion to you is don't push colors so hard.. And don't crush the shadows.. Keep the images clean and subtle.. You can't always pull off Hollywood grading in each and every shot in a travel film.. That requires much more planning and lighting..

Yes I use Sigma 18-35 f1.8 EF with viltrox speedbooster, we can adapt EF lenses by using speedbooster or mft - EF adapters.

Both are good. If you want raw and prores format to work with , false color , LUT import ....you can go for bm. The other has flip out screen, IBIS ....
Check both camera specs and reviews and choose the right one for your field of work . There will be lot of differences like in battery life , recording medium etc.

I think all the lenses which is used in BMPCC 4k required a speed booster. That's why I asked the question.
@@saijukumar4825 Ok bro, it has got a Micro Four Thirds mount , so we can adapt all MFT lenses like panasonic ,leica and olympus. Other than those lenses we can adapt any other lenses with speedbooster which makes it super 35 equivalent .
