CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Anderton (Tom Cruise) tries to escape pre-crime officers who chase him with jetpacks.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Based on a short story by the late Philip K. Dick, this science fiction-thriller reflects the writer's familiar preoccupation with themes of concealed identity and mind control. Tom Cruise stars as John Anderton, a Washington, D.C. detective in the year 2054. Anderton works for "Precrime," a special unit of the police department that arrests murderers before they have committed the actual crime. Precrime bases its work on the visions of three psychics or "precogs" whose prophecies of future events are never in error. When Anderton discovers that he has been identified as the future killer of a man he's never met, he is forced to become a fugitive from his own colleagues as he tries to uncover the mystery of the victim-to-be's identity. When he kidnaps Agatha (Samantha Morton), one of the precogs, he begins to formulate a theory about a possible frame-up from within his own department. Directed by Steven Spielberg, who hired a team of futurists to devise the film's numerous technologically advanced gadgets, Minority Report co-stars Colin Farrell, Max von Sydow, and Neal McDonough.

I love how Spielberg is always able to fit so much visual comedy into serious scenes
Imagine if they add a scene of him interrupting "Tonight" from West Side Story.
The old man in the chair is my favorite part in the scene...
that's Hector from "Breaking Bad" in another universe crossing over
Switzerland
there is another film has done similar scene like this, a dude listening to music while his apartment being crushed. I just don't remember the name anymore.
"You can't catch me, gay thoughts!"
This movie deserves more love
Those fancy jetpacks are more of a liability than anything.
Almost like that's one of the male themes of the movie and the book
2:00 - DEFINITLEY a reference to that scene in Animal House where the Playboy bunny comes in through the window.
"THANK YOU, GOD!!!"
I bet those burgers were cooked just right. Mmmmmm burgers!
+Shannmeister That part always tickled me, haha!
Shannmeister She REALLY WANTED them out of her kitchen.
ANDERTON!!!!!
1:34 This dude is like, "just let me die for chrissakes"
Sax kid had a fridge in his room
You got a problem with fridges in bedrooms?
That's a plastic cabinet, not a fridge. I had extremely similar ones in my garage. They might even be the same ones actually, since we had them for years.
@@ToaQuaraxagreed defo not a fridge since it takes 0.5% effort to make it tip slightly
This scene could have ruined the movie but I think it takes itself lightly in just the right way, there are also police forces (pictures of anyway) who use segways. Judging by the look on Fletcher (ANDERTON!!) you could say even he thinks this is goddam ridiculous! LoL
2:04 oh hooo
20 years since the movie came out and still don’t have a jet pack for commercial in 2021
spielberg is awesome!
1:13 Hmmmm....apple pie.
Cool jet packs
Apparently Scientology gives you good grip.
um is this star wars music???
It's john williams who wrote every star wars film's music so that's why it sounds so similar!
Michael Young omg thats why it sound so familiar
Tom cruise said to Sandman( patrick kil patrick villain in death warrant 1990 aka sandman) go to sleep
Those jetpacks would put out a huge amount of heat and would have burned all of them badly in such close quarters.
Seems like the technology is better in this movie than in AI Artificial Intelligence
everybody runs...everybody runs...
I like this movie but is it version of Limitless 2011
1:34 Ben Stein?
great scene but gonna be a lot of burned legs should we ever go with this tech
There are no high rise buildings in Washington DC. You give the appearance these are old buildings dilapidated in the future.
In the previous scene Anderton boards a Metro line and Jad says that there are stops on 20th and 33rd, which apparently do not exist in a real life. I'm guessing this would be in a suburb somewhere? (I don't know much about D.C geography.)
@@hbdragon88 They didn’t bother to do research
I love it.
The future looks stupid
How old r u? What a dumb comment u made
Communist detected)
Such bluey
Dated
This film looks fucking horrendous, is this a spoof or a real film?
