After starting to experience quite a few high pressure alerts on our boat air conditioning systems, we decided it was past time to flush out our Cruisair/Dometic AC units on our boat. After investigating the easiest way to do this (including getting quotes from others), we decided to do it ourselves.
This video explains how we did it, the equipment we used and the results.
As usual, you are on your own with doing this yourself. We are simply showing you how we did ours.

Nice to finally get this project done. Now I have the flush kit for the A/C units and for the engine heat exchangers.
Did you reuse the same batch of barnacle buster for each ac unit? What do you do with the mix in the bucket when finished?
We reused it for half the total time on next ac unit. Then used fresh for other half of time. Check with Barnacle buster on the used mix water disposal. We were at dock so had access to disposal at marina
@@SailingPILAR thank you
If I may be so bold to ask... What is that violet thing on the beggining of the video, hanging on the right side, used for? 😨
It’s a muscle therapy device
Did this solve the high pressure faults?
Not completely. We also had to adjust fan speed to automatic.
Plastic connections exposed to sun - wtf are boat mfg thinking? I replaced all my through hulls with stainless steel
