    On this episode of the evo build we tackle something most evo owners are going to have to take care of no matter what! and that is head studs.. I explain a step by step on how to install and change your oem head bolts to ARP headstuds by using the 1x1 method. Super simple process and honestly encourage anyone upgrading their turbo to do this for safety!

    Friend, what model of arp bolts did you buy and for how many horsepower do they serve me approximately? Lastly... what is the proper torque of 85 lbs? thank you!

    Only things that i've questioned about this is assembly lube on the stud end going into the block, and how tight the stud itself should be.

      @@ChrisGoorbarry my car pushes out coolant to the over flow when I’m on boost. But driving normal is fine. Do you think changing studs might stop it?

      @@Jackvue5 no, i had the same issue. It's your Headgasket. But worry not, it's incredibly easy to do a head gasket replacement on the Evo. Just make sure to add sticky notes and Ziploc bags to keep track of all your hardware.

    Why you doing 35 65 then 85 when your doing one bolt at a time???

    • @SkyboundMar
      @SkyboundMar Před 3 lety +4

      That's what I was thinking. That torque spec is only for evenly torquing down a new head gasket, but he could've just went straight to 85ft-lbs since he did 1x1

      L19s are great if your running 40psi or higher below that theres no need for it. Im at 38 same studs.
