Say what you want about the temperature and ride, another form of entertainment for this ride is up on the big boat with the water guns.

Seeing everyone laugh at and with eachother is making me happy. This is a good ride to bond with other people that you don’t know.
This is why I like going to parks by myself. I get to meet new people, and sometimes even make new friends.

I remember when we went to universal we rode this ride, and we joked with the employee loading us up that he should come on the ride and join us. Well when we got back, the employee was wearing a full water suit, jumped into our ride, and went a second time without getting off. good memories

australia's dreamworld one got shut down on that round tube ride as it went up the belt that leads to a room it bumped another tube with people and both flipped killing them it was closed down last year

Yes, because the logging truck looks so real. Disney's ride may be more "environmentally conscious", and like I said, I love Disney, but Bilge Rat Barge's is just a better water ride.

Probably because it isn't very safe to load people onto these boats barefoot. The turntables could lead to crushed toes if not careful. Universal enforces a strict no barefoot policy on this ride for the same reason.

For stuff like this we bring sandals in our bag. At least you won’t have wet shoes cause that is the worst. We may bring an extra set of clothes for our son too who is 10. I don’t want to hear that all day. 😂
Looks like one of the best rapids rides out there in general, but the level of detail and theming really sends it over the top.

Kali is probably one of the weakest raft rides out there. Super short and calm, but it does have a drop.

Doing this in cold weather doesn't help either.
I'm not joking, this is the scariest ride there. This ride is the definition of evil and i've never seen anyone get off it without being 100% soaked. The lines for the dryers are always extremely long.

I went on this once. We waited half an hour, got stopped for 15 minutes, got soaked, and then got stuck on the conveyer belt to go up to the big drop. To make matters worse, storm warnings were playing over the radio.
M well, I went on this ride last Wednesday, I didn’t know about this ride. I had little time to prepare myself to this trip actually, but you see, I was at the park, there was rain announced for that day, I started my day at the park going to Jurassic Park ride. A little wet, it was still sunny, yay, I dried really quick. Went on more rides and at a certain point started to get windy, and then pouring. I went to the Spider-Man ride. All fun and games, inside thing, then I looked at my map and noticed this Popeye ride. I tightened my poncho, that I had put at that time and made my way to Popeye ride. No lines, which I expected because of the rain. Well, you know what happened. There was no piece of my skin that remained wet. The temperature in Orlando started to drop quickly after that. But I have no regrets. On the summer that ride must be the best thing.

Went to universal for 3 days last summer. On the last day we brought clothes to change into and literally went on this thing for 3 hours straight. (wasn't crowded so we never had to wait longer than 10 minutes^^) Amazing ride! :D

I LOVES THIS RIDE!!! When I went to universal studios my boyfriend and I got to ride it 8 times in a row without getting off :)) it was dark out and we walked right on . Definitely my favorite especially at night

The first time I was on here I was terrified and water bothered me because I didn’t like it in my face but I got super drenched my first time and I yelled at my parents 😂 but now I love it and if I ever get kids I’m making them do this lol. I always aimed for the water when it had the small waterfalls just dropping in places

I love the dry storage in the center of the boats on this ride. I wish all of these type of rides were built that way.

We always go all water rides between 11am and 2pm. That is the hottest part of the day and in Florida that can get into the 100's so the water rides feel amazing and it takes no time to dry out. You will need to reapply sun block after water rides to avoid sunburns!!! Also wet denim is Very Heavy and can irritate your skin or cause a rash. Athletic wear is best because it's loose, light weight and dries quickly.
I just wear quick-dry clothes - surf shorts and t-shirt.

Wearing sneakers on this ride is not a good idea. We always bring a change of clothes and make this one of our first rides. We love it!!

This ride is so amazing!! It was so worth the wait, and you WILL GET SOAKED!! My sister got stuck under one of the Jets and was leaning on my laughing 😂. She later said it felt like a back massage 😂

Not because coasters are bad, they just scare me.
Water makes me feel calm, therefore water rides are calmer for me.
I remember going on this Ride 4 Years ago. It was honestly the best Universal Ride out in the park.

This is the BEST rapids ride I have ever been on. The speed theming etc. I haven’t been to this park in 20 years and still remember this ride fondly
I was there in a cold day. I have never gotten such a bad cold!
Oh yeah and the dryers at the exit door dont work and cost 5 bucks
Only been to IOA once and I remember this ride VIVIDLY. You get absolutely DRENCHED in every seat! They have those full-body dryers after you get off but none of them were working that day an it was so hot. Couldn't tell what was water and what was sweat! Fun ride though!

This looks like one of the more fun Rapids I've ever seen. Great theme
I was in the park in November 2015 and there was monsoon conditions. Everybody with any sense ran for cover. Not me. I went on this ride time and time again on my own. It was like being Lieutenant Dan on the top of the ship. But the best bit is always when some damn moron gets on with stonewash jeans and his wife is wearing a veil or something and the whole floor floods and then they get drenched. The dryers eat dollars but they aren' t miracle workers.

Highly recommend u bring flip-flops and put ur shoes in a bag, cause u will be walking with soggy shoes the rest of the day

I love this ride so tricking much. It's a great ride without the theming but the theming truly makes this one of the best rides of it's kind
Great ride. Really fun to be honest, as long as you don’t care if your clothes get wet and that you will get soaked. You will get wet either way and some may get drenched but trust me. I learned it the hard way. But this is one of the best water rides I’ve been to and it’s really hot usually so it’s good to cool off

My family and I went on this ride thinking it was an innocent riverboat of some sort...oh were we wrong...we were soaked...and I left my glasses on the ride
I went on this ride and some of family friends had been on this ride before and they literally wore ponchos and still somehow got wet! This ride is probably know for soaking people. Even though you get soaked the first time I ride it we went on it two times and it was amazing! Although they said not to take our shoes off we did the first time cause they let us but the second time we had to sneak them off right when the ride was starting. I have to say hands down to Universal you have ultimately reached the point where that when anyone is burning or wants to get soaked they will go on this ride🙌

I rode this thing many, many years ago, and it's still my favorite rides. A lot of fun and great way to cool off. Just be prepared to be drenched by the time you get off.

My family and I went on this twice and we were soaking wet!😂 Me and my cousin were dumb enough to go on Rip Saw Falls after.
UGH! I loved going here for summer, this ride, the mummy ride, and the dinosaur one were all very amazing! loved it. Oh and of course harry potter land!

Most of you should know after watching this. Never go on this for the 1st ride. Take your shoes off if possible cause if not you'll be walking around with wet socks all day and it isn't fun at all .

Insanely fun ride! Went here four or five times over the course of my childhood...first time everyone in my family had to buy dry clothes from the park (dryers didn't exist back then). After that we brought dry clothes and stored them in a day locker, middle of the day heat meant time for this and the log flume ride then change clothes and back to the dry rides lol

My family as been going here for a while now and I'm telling you it's the best experience ever .We got on this ride and it was so much fun we are going again in July. This time we are going to lots more parks than we normally do I most definitely recommend going with friends and family or just by yourself it's an amazing experience

Here's a tip for women and girls: do NOT wear white linen shorts or pants on the day you visit this park. There will be absolutely no mystery to what you're wearing underneath after this ride.
