More of these please ! Prague is great but there is more to see than just one city. And I love the fact that now you even have local/regional tourist offices sponsoring you. Thank you!!!
Thank you for the support, it would be possible without that!
PS - Just replying from Karlovy Vary, filming a new guide here starting tomorrow!! :)
There are videos where they are in different cities there.
Did you just watch a different video to me?
I thought I loved Prague... I actually love the Czech Republic. These last 2 videos of yours left me with a "woah pikachu" face. Can't wait to visit! Cheers from Portugal!
Yeah the green grass is and lush forests are entirely different to what you are used to in subtropical climates. Our climate means you get 4 seasons, and since we are half continental half oceanic climate type, there are no crazy extremes like -40°C. Harsh winter is -20°, hot summer is around 35°C. To be honest with you, you can just point your finger into the map and visit the area. This country is ideal for cycling, and during last 2 decades even dutch discovered us, and started buying cottages for summer vacations.
@@Pyrochemik007 Yeah makes sense cause Azores is all green grass everywhere and we also usually say they have 4 seasons per day there 😂
We can’t wait to welcome you here💛 Thank you!!!
@@Pyrochemik007 ona ta příroda na jihu Evropy není zas tak odlišná, jak si myslíš. 4 roční období jsou snad všude v Evropě, možná krom ostrovních oblastí.
Rip off country
Nothing better than watching the Honest Guide and drinking a Pilsner Urquell!
I miss Czech Republic, hopefully going back next year to visit family ❤️🇨🇦🇨🇿
My husband is from South Bohemia - we haven't been able to come back to see family since 2019 ❤️ this made me feel very homesick for Cz
I wished this video was much longer. I never knew South Bohemia was so beautiful!
Thanks to your first video about České Budějovice, I spent an extended weekend there two years ago and loved it. České Budějovice is a beautiful, lively town. From there I did a day trip to Český Krumlov (beautiful but also very touristy) and a boat trip to Charles castle from where I ran/hiked back to České Budějovice via Hluboká castle. I can really recommend a visit - and it's only a short train ride from Vienna (where I live).
Try Třeboň and Jindřichův Hradec next. There is a train going there from České Budějovice, it is about 40 min ride. You can also hop of the train from Linz to Prague in "Veselí nad Lužnicí" and change to train heading to east, it is 20 mins and 40 respectively. There is a narrow railway in Jindřichův Hradec, both have historic centers and castles.
Alternate idea is visiting Boubín mountain, which is however quite remote place, so maybe look for camping nearby. One of the oldest nature reserves is there. And there are some fortifications from WW2 around as well.
Thanks for the tips. There is definitely a lot of places to discover in my neighbor country and I will for sure visit again.
Český Krumlov was amazing in the summer of 2020. Zero tourists and bearable Covid restrictions.
I literally just rewatched your Brno video today because I am planning a bike trip and now you upload this 😀
Thank you for the great recommendations, about 70%of the places and restaurants I want to visit come from your videos!
Awww, thanks for showing outside of Prague 🥰.
Having fun in a beautiful Vlatava River. Looks awesome!
So satisfying to see their videos
Thank you for your advantageous videos. I wish you will make the videos about other amazing Czech castles. #landofcastles
Janek at 05:11 is me walking into Monday 🤣 Silver lining is that I get to watch a new episode 🥳
Tabor is also beautiful, stayed there in a bed and breakfast and enjoyed the entire time spent there. I would also recommend a canoe trip from Pilsen toward Liblin including the castle ruin Libstejn. Also, a farm adventure in Radnice (Rokycany district) at Farma Dvorec for something a little different. In Radnice, La Boehm is an excellent restaurant on the town square.
more videos from this region! prahatice/Volary/Vimperk/Park Sumava
Great work. I hope you can show other regions of the country too! Cesky Krumlov, for example.
Love it - thanks!
Excellent job. Well done and a great topic as well.
Thank you!
Love it!
I wish there was one of these for every eu city lol! i love this channel!
Awesome video, cant wait to try this out as an expat!
I look forward to Sunday just for your videos ☺️
Even though it means that the weekend ends?! Awww!! 😍💛 Thank you kindly!!
I love your videos
Loved it! One of your best videos in my opinion. Have been to Prague once, but only the city. Would love to see the countryside.
Awesome!
Great video!!! 👍👍👍
Subbed and addicted to your videos! We’re taking our first trip to Czechia in September for a couple weeks and are very excited! Maybe you’ve already done this but could you make a video about what kinds of jobs there are for English speakers other than teaching and what the process of moving to Czechia is like? Thanks and keep up the great content!
Janek, I have to admit that introducing "Karlův Hrádek" castle is pretty cool. I would never imagine this place can get known worldwide. Now it is!
Czechs should really promote their country as a bike paradise - while the city bike infrastructure is still poor (most cities deal with cyclists by marking a cyclist pictogram on the roadsides instead of building a separate bike lanes for them), the country as a whole has tons, TONS of bike paths both asphalt and gravel ones crossing fields, rivers, interesting places and pubs, interconnecting almost every town. There are also many MTB single trails that were created in recent years for mountain bikers.
If Honza was carrying the film equipment and didn't get a bike I'll be very upset for him.
Great video!
Maybe Honza was following in a support car, Tour de France style. :)
lol 5:10 would be me hitting my head there too.
I love the Czech Republic so much I want to come and visit do I have to get a tourist visa because I'm located in Jamaica
Apparently yes, you need a visa with a Jamaican pasaport
So it is a tourist visa for Czech Republic and do I apply online how long does it last for
Normally, it is going to take around 3-4 weeks to issue the visa. Furthermore, you have to apply by paperwork not online. To get more information you should google it to see how to apply a Schengen visa.
@@anhduong87303 okay thank you for that information I was just online trying to see how it goes and the information that I got it is a Czech Republic Shenyang Visa
Go to Hungaria
I've been planning to hike the Stezka údolím Lužnice from Tabor to Tyn nad Vltavou, and this seems like it might be a good continuation from that.
Guide on the towns/villages that are featured in Kingdom Come: Deliverance! 😎
I loved it! I’ll go there for sure. Did you rent the e bikes? Would you please tell us where you got them? Thanks!
He went on bicycle just to show viewers everything 😳😳 really honest !!
WOW as always marvellous!

It is a wonderful city with interesting history and this city is a popular resort :D
Btw I'm moving there this autumn because of you, guys! I was bewitched by Prague because of your videos since this channel started.
I quited med uni in my country to earn some money and move to Czech Republic!
Going there tomorrow actually! 😃
H HonestGuide, Where did you rent the bikes? I have been looking for bike-rental shop in České Budějovice, but I could not find a rental-shop! Which did you use?
Hi guys! How about making a video about Magical Cavern on Petřín Gardens in Prague? I think it will be awesome! Cheers from Poland :)
Janku opatrně s tím nízkým sedlem (i když na elektro, šlapeš i tak), ať to neodnesou kolena! Jinak hezké video jako vždy ;)
Is there a dedicated bike path all the way from Prague to Ceske Budajovice?
nice video 🙃
this is why i love Europe... full with history nice place to visit with bikes no need a car and u have paid vacation for that. U.S citizens must be jealous :D
I am in ceske Budejovice, where did you guys rent the bikes? I cannot find a bike rental service in the city center
Trebon is also great for a bike ride

What are the current restrictions in the Czech republic? Is everything open as usual?
Yes, only masks and antigen testing
Czech can be such a beautiful country
Why
Oh my god i live in Týn nad Vltavou (Jako vážně jste byly v Tejně mazec)
Next stop Cerna Hora
👍for nuclear!
Why you changed the video quality from 24p to 50p ?
I think it was better before 🤔
How time open tourist visa from India to CZ
Not likely anytime soon due to mutations.
I am going to change counterfeit usd for Belarusan Ruples on the streets of Prague
Ok
you seem like nice people but i need mountains
They have mountains. Krkonose etc...
If you need mountains, Austria, Italy, Switzerland and France are kind of near. They all have great mountains
@@qui-gon7586 i basically live in chamonix. i do know mountains. i'm looking forward to czech mountains here.
Czech Republic seems beautiful. I think the country should open up to tourists more. Rather than being Conservative they should use a second language like English in all their road signs and restaurants to help tourists navigate easily. Czech can be a tourist hotspot in summer like Switzerland
Not Tábor 😪
Hi’
When Prague will open for Indians?
Lol, what?!? 😂 I don't think Prague has any problems with Indians. It's maybe caused by covid-19 situation in your country and there are some traveling restrictions raised, but in better times I think everybody is welcomed (till behaving properly)
@@Forseti2 yes I mean due to covid 19 it is closed so I am asking is it open now for tourism. 😀
I already been there before pandemic so it's true Prague/Europe don't have any problems with us 😂
Bro pls bring exposing scam
2:37 "Ferrata" sounds so Italian! Well, "ferrata" actually IS an Italian word, and it means "made of iron". It's feminine (we have grammar genders in Italian, even if just two), maybe implying a feminine noun, e.g. "via" ("way, path"). That would make it "iron path". Is it possible that this name was chosen because of the iron "steps"? And if it is so, why Italian?
it is in fact italian "via ferrata" and it is used almost globaly for these paths :)
@@PachezZ Thank you!
The Italians know a thing or two about traversing rock faces in the Alps/Dolomites.
Well, Czech got three grammar genders (or four, depends on how you count it)
@@Busha69 I know, let's say three and a half (masculine inanimate).
This is why we don't need the sea.
If we don't need the sea, then why half of the Czech population flocks every year to Croatia? :)
@@Darwinek It's not half. It's 8% and it's Because Croatia is beautiful and it's convenient. Another 20% go to Slovakia, Austria, Greece and Italy so it's not necessarily for the sea. The rest stay home.
Baseball?? Baseball exists in the czeck republick??
Disneyland has nothing on Czech castles.
Janek, is the first time you ever wore shorts? Your legs are SO WHITE
Yes :)
Chicken legs
e bikes ugh and your saddle is entirely too low.
Disney castle is in Bojnice Slovakia
just saying but you should have sit higher on the bike...
stop using dark socks with white sneakers :))))))))))))
why don't you just name your country grand republic of bohemia instead of whatever this is (Czechia)
Because Bohemia is only one part of the whole country. Same as Bavaria in Germany or England in the UK.
Exactly as mentioned above, Czechia consists of 3 main (historical) regions - Bohemia (Prague lies at central Bohemia), Moravia (especially southern part of Moravia is known wine region, where they keep lots of traditions, wear traditional costumes during celebrations,...) and Silesia (in northeastern part if the republic, neighbouring with Poland, more industrial region)
@@Forseti2 Yes. But lyrics of our national anthem speak about how beautiful the country is!
@@drakulkacz6489 yop, no problem with this
Yes, Bohemia was used as the name of the country in the past. The country used to be called Kingdom of Bohemia (including other parts like Moravia and Silesia) or simply only Bohemia.
1 case of
Covid and they lock the whole
Country get me out of here 😫
They're not the UK 👍🏻
@@insertaverygenericnamehere nah just dreaming bout being in Prague locked up in Australia 😀
@@hernzo9798 It's getting worse even here again, we have about 150 cases every day, which looks like nothing compared to 15 000 from last year, but we have more and more cases of Indian mutation so politics stopped removing of restrictions and it's vice versa now, I think in autumn, we're gonna be in shits again. Fortunately many people are vaccined so they will have only mild or no symptoms, last fall, it was really bad here.
sorry for you, we are close behind you in restrictions in Canada.
Last time I got sick that put me in bed was in Prague dunno if it was eating in the municipal house all walking around around drunk In the snow with only t-shirt. I was back drinking after 4 days came out stronger. 😀
