Dear Sir,thanks for your knowledge sharing.please let me ,if the the system consist of stand pipe with FHC ,Wet sprinkler and Fire hydrants, then how to calculate required max gpm and pump head .in previous videos we saw max gpm in most remote stand pipe with landing valves and fhc and sprinkler.if the system consist of Fire hydrants...then how to calculate pump head and gpm.
Most remote means away distance from pump, if your combine system then you have check most remote distance is which one. Most remote is required for pump head pressure and flow required design by two hydrant, sprinkler remote area, two hose cabinet etc. Finally I will say that I have not grip in design therefore suggest to coordinate with firefighting designer for this.
Assalamualikum sir please can you explain and upload the video of water mist system
W.Salam,
Ok noted
Note: In hydrant system, Working pressure should be between 100psi to 175psi and pipe design working pressure should not less than 150psi.
Great sir 🔥🔥
Thanks
How can we design fire hydrant system for internal building and for external building, like distance between 2 hydrant and all, do you have same video for fire hydrant design?
some my videos are available on youtube channel
Let me know the reason standpipes pressure is varying between 120 to 200 psi even after switching off all pumps for whole day.
Pressure gauges or pressure switches problem or leakages
Excellent sir, how much distance we have to keep between Hydrant, moreover, if our building pressure design 175 psi and as u said pressure at fire hydrant will be minimum 150 psi, shall we need to install PRV because of 175 psi
Thanks
1. Distance between hydrant to be 50meters
2. As per NFPA-24-2007 Pipe design working pressure not less than 150psi
3. We use working pressure minimum 100psi and maximum 175psi
Note:- in next video further details will be share.
Dear sir , can u explain what when its complasory to instll fire hydrant , like if area of building exceed some value or
Building or property protection or firefighting from outside, therefore fire hydrants are compulsory
Can we connect the fire hydrant post and main riser pipe? Does it is needed to connect separate pipe line for hydrant post from pump.? Does hydrant post near entrance gate can feed to riser? What is difference between hydrant post and breaching inlet?
Breaching inlets serve as an additional water source for firefighting when the primary water supply from fire water tank or municipal water mains is insufficient or unavailable.
The primary purpose of a hydrant post is to provide a readily available and reliable water supply for firefighting operations in different areas. Firefighters can quickly connect their hoses to the hydrant post to access water for extinguishing fires.
@@TanweerAhmed thanks
Sir plz tell me which nfpa standard required for determine main fire pump capacity of hydrant system.
Capacity of fire pumps calculate through hydraulic calculation and NFPA-20 standard is used for fire pumps details
Sir want to know today i test hydrant so back said smile bolt and come water that's hole for what have back said
I think, valve seat is leak
Sir piv valve ke uper video banye

For fire hydrant system is the pump room is different or same?
Almost same
Sir. Fire pupm pressure switch ka cut in and cut out setting ka ek video banaye... please sir
Ok noted, I will prepare video
Is 1500gpm 190 psi 2700hp diesel fire pump can deliver to 6"diax466m pipe with 10 fire monitors for fuel tank depo.
Yes from my point of view, but further fire fighting designer may confirm
I am sanitary engineer from Nepal. I am currently designing the building plumbing water supply and sanitary design and drawings. I am interested in Fire fighting design too.

Sir fire hydrant female cupping change krne ka batay
It is simple, what do you know about its changing?
consider there is only hydrant system, no sprinkler and hose reel, stand pipe. 1. how to find no of hydrant pillar 2. each hydrant need how much flow gpm. 3. hydraulic calculation 4. tank design 5. pump running duration 45, 60, 90 minutes. 6. pump selection for combined sprinkler and standpipe 1000 GPM maximum. and only standpipe 1250 GPM. for Hydrant system alone how much GPM need to be considered.

Sir should i keep hydrant mains underground or above the ground.
I want to keep pressurized mains above the ground, is there any side effect of this action?
What do you mean by mains?
Hi sir.. Can I use nfpa 14 to do fire hydrant system? Because I'll have standpipe system inside building. So I'm thinking to combine both fire hydrant system and standpipe system.
Yes you can
@@TanweerAhmed thank you sir. I'm actually looking for the sections..so far I see what's written in class 1,2 or 3 systems didn't mention anything on hydrant systems. Kindly let me know which section to refer sir. Thank you
Section 7.9.3 of NFPA 14: Standard for the Installation of Standpipe and Hose Systems (2019 edition) provides guidance on the connection of standpipe systems to exterior water supply sources, including fire hydrants. The section states:
"7.9.3 Connection to Exterior Water Supply.
7.9.3.1 A connection shall be provided between the standpipe system and the exterior water supply for use by fire departments and others in controlling and extinguishing fires in the building.
7.9.3.2 The connection shall be in accordance with Section 7.11.
7.9.3.3 Hose lines shall be provided for use with the connection, in accordance with Section 7.10."
This section requires that a connection be provided between the standpipe system and the exterior water supply, which may include fire hydrants, for use by fire departments and other first responders in controlling and extinguishing fires in the building. The connection must be in accordance with Section 7.11, which provides requirements for the location, size, and type of connections, as well as the use of fire department connections (FDCs) and other fittings. Hose lines must also be provided for use with the connection, in accordance with Section 7.10.
Overall, this section of NFPA 14 is intended to ensure that standpipe systems are properly connected to external water supplies to provide an adequate water supply for firefighting purposes.
NFPA 24: Standard for the Installation of Private Fire Service Mains and Their Appurtenances provides requirements for the installation of water supply systems, including fire hydrants, for use by fire departments in private properties. This standard includes guidance on the installation of FDCs, as well as the sizing and placement of fire hydrants to ensure adequate water supply for both standpipe and sprinkler systems.
Section 7.2.2: "Fire Department Connections." (2019 edition)
Section 10.6: "Private Fire Hydrants." (2019 edition)
Dear sir plz tell me which NFPA Standard required for Hydrant system..
NFPA-1 and NFPA-24
For design fire hydrant system, these NFPA standards should study NFPA 1, NFPA 24, NFPA 291, NFPA 14, NFPA 1963 and NFPA 20
Sir pump room hai ye

Fire hydrant discharge kitna hota hai 1 minutes mai

Sir i am designing warehouse and hight of warehouse is 4.5 MTR, for designing of Ringling hydrant
How many hydrant shall be considered for calculation???
And kindly suggest codes for designing of ring line hydrant system
I think two hydrant will be consider for design but further confirm from other sources
Sir i have question related to fire hydrant
Sir app nai bola hai 50m distance between two hydrant but sir. Its depends upon occupancy
Like high hazard building occupancy
Medium hazard building occupancy
Low hazard building occupancy
So my question is what distance between two hydrant according to occupancy
And life of hydrant
And duration of testing like yearly or quarterly or half.
This distance is for all hazards
@@TanweerAhmed and sir hydrant system life and. Duration of test

Can we install a 6 inches PRV on hydrant main 6 inches dia lines?
PRV (Pressure Reducing Valve) ?
@@TanweerAhmed Yes Pressure reducing valve in 6 inches lines.
If pressure in high from design requirements then may be used and further also depends on installed system requirements
