  • This is a fire fighting tutorial video about "Pressure Sensing Lines Fire Pump for NFPA 20 Fire Pumps" in Urdu/Hindi language. These pressure sensing lines are used with a jockey pump, electric fire pump, and diesel fire pump. It is basic learning detailed information about Pressure Actuated Controller Pressure Sensing Lines as per NFPA 20 standard requirements. It is also important for Firefighting/MEP technical staff. Here sharing my experience and knowledge that will be helpful to learn & grow for Engineers & Technical staff. If you found anything which is inappropriate then convey it in the comments for my information and rectification in the future.

    Hi.. i have doubt..
    Why there is two check valves in sensing line .. for dampening purpose one check valve is enough , right?

    how much distance should be maintained between check valve and 90 deg. elbow in sensing line? is there any requirement for this

    • @TanweerAhmed
      @TanweerAhmed  Před 2 měsíci

      Minimum distance should not less than 5 feet from check valve to check valve of sensing line is given in NFPA 20 but maximum limit is not provided therefore follow maximum distance as per site conditions.

    On an external Fire Hydrant line, is there any minimum requirement to put pressure gauges? Like any specific distance, or on each fire hydrnt?

    • @TanweerAhmed
      @TanweerAhmed  Před 2 lety +1

      Pressure gauges shall be installed only in fire pump room. During testing of fire hydrants, pressure gauge arrangements will be arranged.

    Aoa,
    Hope you are doing well and fine.
    Sir plz confirm that Pressure sensing line can be connected with horizontal split case pumps only as it comes with seperate control panels like for jockey we have separate control panel for electrical pump we have separate control panel like wise for standby pump.
    What about end suction pumps on which single control panel provided with pump set EDJ. ?
