Wow you are so right about fat transfer. Indeed the place where it is placed will not substitute bone loss, so HA fillers are still best. Also fats are unpredictable. Such a good tip.
Useful content. Ty doctor.
You're welcome, endurmandude! Glad you found the video helpful!
Your videos are so well done. I learn a lot from them! Wish I was closer to NY, I’d come see you!
Hi Laura Gwillim,
I'm so happy you are learning from the videos! If you are ever in the area, come see us!
Amiya Prasad, M.D. I won’t ever BE in the area, but I’m considering making an appointment with Dr Prasad because I’m so impressed with his knowledge and his approach to facial rejuvenation. I’m in a small town and I am not confident in the skills of the practitioners here for more invasive procedures. Thank you for responding to my comment. I enjoy these videos and love learning about these types of procedures. I am a physical therapist but am so interested in skin care and rejuvenation that I may change careers at some point!
Hi@@lauragwillim1055,
I really appreciate your kind words! I hope you get to do what interests you so much!
I have a question what will happen to eye if fillers are finished
Hello Dr. Prasad, what's your opinion on topical highly concentrated HA on the face?
Hi geek2330,
The benefit of hyaluronic acid is internal, so topical hyaluronic acid won't do much topically except moisturize the skin. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi, may i know can PRP treatment treats redskin, broken capillaries?
Hi Terence Liew,
You can refer to these videos about treatment of broken capillaries using laser devices:

If I sleep on the sides of my face, habing fillers in my cheeks, would filler move even if injected at the bone level?
Hi Jenny Quezada,
Filler placed at the bone level is very stable, and none of our patients have had any issues with filler moving because of sleeping position. I hope this clarifies things for you.
What percentage of patients have complications and allergic reactions to ha fillers and are there certain types of people more prone to complications?
Hi hammypie,
Allergic reactions to hyaluronic acid fillers are extremely rare as the material is hypoallergenic, and does not require allergic testing. Hyaluronic acid is naturally present in the body. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Does this mean that fine lines can be eliminated without botox?
Hi Yogambika Yogini,
Botox and other neurotoxins are used for facial lines that appear during facial expressions.
Lines, wrinkles, and folds can be visibly improved, but they can't be eliminated completely. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Doktor But what happens after several years of injection wont the under eye or cheek drop after some years of injection. Thank you 🙏🏻
Hi Kazhan Korbani,
Cosmetic fillers won't stretch the skin, which I did make a video about, for your reference - czcams.com/video/hx540qDFbrs/video.html
@@AmiyaPrasadMD thank you doctor the video was very helpful and i have learned a lot! from you we really appreciate your effort and time 🙏🏻 but i have one last question i have done fillers some few time but the fille wont last in my lips\chin why?what should i do
Hi @@kazhankorbani2115,
Hyaluronic acid fillers are supposed to be metabolized with time because of safety. Hyaluronic acid naturally occurs in the body, so this material is used so your body readily accepts it with no foreign body reaction. Thicker fillers hyaluronic acid fillers can be used in the chin, where it lasts 1-2 years, but the lips need a lot of movement, so a softer filler that doesn't last as long is needed. This video you are commenting on explains all this in detail, if you watch it.
Semi-permanent and permanent fillers are highly problematic because the body has a foreign body reaction to them, causing infection and swelling, and the material migrates, and needs surgical removal, where some material will be left in the body. You can refer to this video about why permanent and semi-permanent fillers are highly problematic - czcams.com/video/CZJ05rjav3s/video.html
Doctor,
Which one do you prefer for acne scars? Microneedling PRP or microneedling hyaluronic acid? Whats the difference between them? Please advise.
Very Respectfully,
AP
Hi jaicel adam,
There are many types of acne scars, and many different treatments for it. Microneedling can help stimulate collagen, and PRP applied topically after can promote healing and also stimulate collagen. I do apply hyaluronic acid filler through injection for deeper acne scars as the volume can help replace lost tissue, but I don't see much benefit from topical hyaluronic acid after microneedling. It's best to have your acne scars physically examined before deciding on a treatment plan, and also realize that acne scar treatment takes several sessions, so it's important to stay with the same doctor and follow their plan, rather than starting with a new doctor for each session. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Amiya Prasad, M.D.
Doctor, I sincerely appreciate your time and advise. Im getting micro needling PRP on Thursday and i just want to make sure I’m not wasting time and money. More power to you and your practice!

You're welcome, jaicel!
I have acne scars and co2 laser have helped a lot !
A question : Have you ever tried using thiker cosmetic fillers under the eyes (Tear Trough) on a patient of yours ?
Hi Renan Marostica,
Thicker fillers are meant for areas of the face that don't move with expression, like the cheekbones, chin, and jawline. For the under eye area that moves with facial expression, you need a thinner, more malleable filler. If you put a thicker filler under your eyes, you will see a lump under your eye when you smile and laugh. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Amiya Prasad, M.D. c
@@AmiyaPrasadMD Hi Doc. What particular HA brand can you recommend for the under eye/tear trough that can last longer than other HAs. Thanks and i'll appreciate your advise...
Hi@@LifeofMC,
I generally use softer Restylane-L, Restylane Silk, or Juvederm XC under the eyes. HA fillers that are thicker last longer, but you don't want a thick HA filler under the eyes because they are not as good with movement from natural facial expressions, so they can look unnatural when placed under the eyes. I hope this clarifies things for you.
@@AmiyaPrasadMD Thank you doctor. Wishing you more success!
How can we learn to do the Y lift as doctors??
Hi Paula Adesokan,
You can start by looking up the Y Lift on the Y Lift website.

Hi Paula Adesokan,
Although I have done Fellowship training for doctors in the past, I don't have any scheduled for the near future. There is Y Lift training available through their website. Hope you understand.
